  1. We love Liberty. We were on her when the world shut down in March 2020. We were sitting in Bolero's when the captain made "the announcement." Have fun and congrats on escaping this crappy weather we are having right now. We are back on Liberty in July and it will also make us diamond.
  2. Pre-COVID, we did two sailings where we had both and I felt it was worth it. However, some things have changed since the restart that would make me second guess purchasing the Key. The ability to drop our carry-ons and have them delivered to the room was so nice. Embarkation lunch was ok, but having a quite place for breakfast that we could take our time eating on disembarkation day was wonderful. Before there was designated seating in the theaters for Key guests, but that's not offered now. If you can get a good deal on it that's not much more than the internet alone, then I think it is still worth it. If you can't, then it may not be worth it since you have the UDP.
  3. To fit more people? My question is what/who is sitting there? I know I need new glasses, but I swear that is a walrus and a racoon in suits.
  4. I understand completely! I will say I was pleasantly surprised by Portside BBQ, though. While it is not a complementary option on Oasis, it was good BBQ. This is coming from a Texas girl with a smoker in my backyard who can throw down some BA Que & does BBQ road trips. Their smoked chicken wings were amazing and their burnt ends were some of the best I've ever eaten. Honestly, if I were to pay out of pocket for any specialty dining on Oasis, Portside might be the one I would do it for if I didn't have the UDP. Their prices are right in line with what we pay here for decent to good BBQ.
  5. Yes, it is. The shakes are not unless you also have the DBP.
  6. Defintely the ABC's, Labadee since I've had 2 opportunities cancelled to go, and Alaska.
  7. I've had that happen in the past where one sailing worked just fine, but the other did exactly what it did to you. I also tried switching browsers and computers, but it was clearly an issue on the RCI IT end. I had to wait until the glitch was fixed. Right now my issue isn't the site, its the app. My Nov sailing on Adventure shows in the app, but my July sailing on Liberty doesn't. I know it will show up eventually.
  8. Same! Did not try El Loco Fresh in December. Did walk by it a few times and noticed the nice selection of hot sauces they had available.
  9. The above menu was not what they were serving on Oasis in December. It was much more limited, but you could tell they had the space to run it when supply chain/COVID issues were not present. Maybe when everything is "normal," they will have everything listed above.
  10. How very POSH... (Yes, yes I am a history nerd.)
  11. If I remember correctly, you can add mustard, ketchup, & mayo yourself. They also have sauerkraut and maybe onions &/or relish as well. My only complaint about the Dog House was the limited options for toppings, but I'm happy with just yellow mustard if it's a good dog.
  12. Yes, they decorate. Here's the promenade on Oasis & the tree in the Suite Lounge.
  13. It would be worth it to rent a car if possible. According to Uber estimate, the ride from the port to Disney Springs is a little more than $100. Parking at Disney Springs is free and there are multiple parking garages. I've parked in there with luggage in my car and didn't have an issue. If you are going to DS, I highly recommend Art Smith's Homecomin' or Polite Pig BBQ.
  14. Ok, you will have a huge room for one person for sure. There is a ton of storage, i.e.. cabinets and drawers galore in that room. The bathroom alone is almost bigger than some interior cabins. You will have access to a suites only sun deck by the pool and the suite lounge. The suite lounge has happy hour every evening with complementary drinks and appetizers. You also have access to it during the day for coffee and juices. It's a nice, quiet stop to chill if you want to be indoors, but not in your room. You will also have a dedicated location for suite guests complementary breakfast, usually Chops on non-Oasis or Quantum class ships.
  15. What ship are you on because that will determine what all your "suite perks" entail? Oasis and Quantum class ships have more perks than the other classes. However, there are still some good perks for suite guests.
  16. Same! There's "planning" for three different vacations, Vegas & 2 cruises, on my desk right now.
  17. Coco Cay, St. Thomas, & St. Maarten... oops, didn't pay attention to the date in the OP's post. These were on Oasis 12/19-12/26.
  18. I was pleasantly surprised with Boardwalk Dog House. I eat hot dogs more often than I should and I'm picky about the dog itself. The regular hot dog there had good flavor and the bun was unexpectedly soft and nice. It wasn't your typical hot dog bun, but more like a pretzel bun that hadn't been dipped/boiled before baking. DW got the sausage dog and thought it was really good as well.
  19. This is what we did in December, but we got into Miami around noon on Saturday and went to Little Havana that afternoon/evening. We love Calle Ocho and the vibe down there. We lyfted from our hotel near the port around 3 pm and it was about $17 one way. Definitely worth it considering the amount of mojitos we consumed. We speak a little Spanish, but its not necessary to do what you want. We popped into Havana Collection clothing store to get DW a new ladies' Guayabera. Then, we headed down the street for food and drinks. We started at Ball & Chain, the famous nightclub that dates back to the 1930's, for a mojito and their Cuban spring rolls (a Cuban sandwich in a spring roll wrapper). It wasn't open when we were there in June due to COVID, so when we saw it was open we had to go. It was amazing, both the drink and the spring roll. They had a Cuban trio playing and they were great. At night they are a nightclub, so depending on what time you get down there keep this in mind. After we left Ball & Chain, we headed over to Old's Havana for more mojitos, some masitas, empanadas, and a café con leche. The picadillo a la habanera empanadas were amazing! I highly recommend them. They were not too spicy, but were seasoned deliciously. Their menu has English descriptions of all of the dishes. They also have a nice selection of rums to customize your mojito experience. We had the aged rum mojito and it was delicious. A different flavor versus a classic, but great none the less. We finished the night with some ice cream from Azucar. I highly recommend Abuela Maria. Café Versailles is the most famous Cuban restaurant on Calle Ocho, but its a bit of a walk from everything else.
  20. Yes, most colleges and universities put their spring break the 2nd or 3rd week of March. You should be pretty safe. for ya.
  21. I was on Liberty in March 2020 during Spring Break (the week the world shut down). There was a record number of kids on the ship (according to the captain), but not really the "Spring Break" party type. They were mostly families with their school age or younger. I'm a high school teacher, so I tend to really notice teens and there were a lot on board. However, they were not rowdy. I only had to resist the urge to use my "teacher voice" once when a group of them were rough housing on the upper deck, way too close to the rail for my liking. They stopped before I said anything. DW is not a teacher and didn't even notice them. College kids, in my opinion, aren't going to cruise Royal in mass numbers. It's too expensive. There may be a few on board, but couldn't see it being so many that it impacts your ability to enjoy the cruise.
  22. That would be amazing! Thanks, now I have "One Short Day" stuck in my head.
  23. Yes, please! Homecomin' is my favorite restaurant in Disney Springs. Now if they could add the moonshine cocktails Art has, I would be a happy camper!
  24. Seriously! Give me a corn tortilla and some salsa and I can put together a bomb taco with what's available in the Windjammer. It is a shock to the system traveling outside of Texas that breakfast tacos aren't available. They are my quick go to for breakfast. Breakfast burritos are not the same... I don't want a flour tortilla twice the size of my head!
  25. Exactly! However, I would have to be like Mario on a big ship rather than Rhapsody/a smaller ship because I would need more variety in food options.
