  1. Has anyone else had issues with the Club Royale phone people. I just called and asked about available upgrades. After being on hold for a while, the guy came back and informed me (in a rude manner) the no price changes could be made after the final payment date (December 19). The problem is that I was not asking about a price change, it was a comp cruise that I got from My Vegas. I tried to explain that I was not asking about a price adjustment, and he seemed not to listen to what I was saying and just wanted to get off the phone. This is the second time I have had someone completely ignore what I was actually asking in the last month. I wonder if this has anything to do with it being a comped cruise through MyVegas, so they just don't care.
  2. That's ok. I don't remember where I heard about that site, I think they mention it in the recording that I have heard over and over and over.... It may have the details listed there.
  3. I have never had to wear either on an RCCL cruise.
  4. From what I've heard, they are pretty strict in not combining with ANY other offers and the timing of using the offers. But as with many things, it probably depends on who you talk to.
  5. But this is exactly the type of situation that Courts were created to resolve. It is impossible to decide these cases based on what the press reports or your own experience.
  6. They don't show up that often, but they are great when they do. This last time they also had a deal for a balcony cabin on Symphony for $1000 per cabin. It is VERY addicting. They have also had a couple of MyVegas at sea events, and the people are really fun to cruise with.
  7. I was one of those that thought it was a bad idea...But I just bought it for my next cruise. But since I cruise alone, the actual cost to me is $10 a day (Internet would cost $10 a day).
  8. You are limited in how much you can win per day until you spend money on the chips. Don't ask how I know, but my Oasis cruise will be the 5th one I have gotten in the last year or so.
  9. That's what their Facebook chat just said. Just a little adrenaline rush to help the day go by.
  10. My cruise date has been removed from the RCCL site and other cruise sites (1/27/19 Oasis). Is this a bad sign? UPDATE: Facebook guy says it's just full. I was trying to call, but got tired of holding, so I am going with his answer.
  11. Well, the Facebook team is very certain that you DO need reservations. I am going to keep mine, even though I feel bad if I end up not needing them and it prevents someone else from getting reservations.
  12. As a solo cruiser, it's worth it to me. When you start looking at a family of 4, I don't see it, but everyone is different. As an added bonus though, it might annoy the suite guests to have an inside cabin guy(me) sitting with them.
  13. It was on the Royal Caribbean Facebook page chat, so it was an employee.
  14. I just updated my post. Apparently, there is some confusion. So I would definitely make the reservations. If you paid $24.99, you might want to check your cruise planner, it was on sale for $19.99 for me.
  15. I decided to try out "The Key" for my upcoming cruise on Oasis. I already have reservations for the shows. I am wondering if I should cancel them since now The Key program says that no reservations are required. UPDATE - The Facebook person just said that the cruise planner is wrong and that you DO need reservations.
  16. I just got the Sheraton 4 Points Pesort at Coco Beach for $96 including taxes and fees for January 26. Cheapest rooms I could find online were $225 +
  17. Galveston and the surrounding area will have the personnel and infrastructure to support a LNG fueling station, and I doubt it would receive the negative reception that Port Canaveral is experiencing. While I understand the environmental and economic benefits to LNG, I am concerned about the risk. While it has a very safe record, the potential risk worries me. A bad result is very unlikely, but that unlikely event could be very, very bad. For me though, everything in life is a risk, so I would gladly (and hope to) cruise on a LNG powered vessel. But I do think that an single accident could be so catastrophic that it would immediately end the use of LNG as a fuel, for passenger vessels anyway.
