I'll be on with you on this cruise come Sunday!  We also booked before we heard of the ship getting AMPed so very excited to see all the new stuff.
4 days....So close I can almost feel the warm sun and hear that ocean.  Getting through the work days has been pure torture this week.
Hope you guys have an awesome time! Seems like you got it all planned out very well.  It will be awesome to read another person's experience of the ship and stops.

I would say calling @twangster an "apologist" of the RC brand is a little far fetched.  Yes, he has sailed a bunch with them.  He has sailed with other lines as well.  Flies just about every airline it seems.  He's probably one of the most informed people on this board-- no offense to Matt or anyone else that provides great feedback from their multiple sailings per year to those of us less experienced. The guy just travels a lot.
In fact, I remember when RC screwed him over a few months ago and in return he canceled a bunch of sailings (I think the total amount lost was over $10k in rooms).  Apologist?  Nay, I'd say informed.
I feel terrible for this person who had to figure all this out after what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, but Twangbot was just pointing out the avenue to take should this be an issue in the future.  Sure, now after the fact its not helpful to them, but maybe helps someone else out who is reading it.  The OP was angry, rightfully so, but had they had their documents in order and been informed, maybe it could have played out different.  I know personally I'm sailing next week for the first time as an adult and first time in over 12 years. I've gone over everything I can think of and have a folder with all my docs in it to bring with me. Be as prepared as you can be.  Even then, sh*t happens.

Also, I believe it's fair to mention that all too often we see people who have zero posts who just create a profile on here to bash the brand and never return for whatever reason.  Not saying that this was one of those times, but well you know what they say about ducks.
I hope they do come back and "enjoy this overwhelmingly positive forum" as you mention.  Sadly, I doubt they will.  Then again as a good amount of this info is brought to you by the apologist Twangster, I don't know how willing they would be to receive it anyway.

Not trying to cause a stir so take this how you will. My opinion is just that, mine.  I just find that unfair from someone who has been around the boards as you have to call out a valued and knowledgeable poster like Twangster.

Hi Kyle, a group of us did the Snuba at XCarte Mexico about 8 years ago. Super cool experience, you have a very heavy dive like helmet placed over year head and it sits on your shoulders. Due to the weight you sink/ climb down a ladder to the bottom, about 20 feet down. Your air hose floats up to the top for air and is monitored by many snorkelers and scuba people. You WALK the ocean floor with full view due to the round glass like helmet as the fish swim all around. They feed the fish & the fish swarm all around you, and you buy an excellent photo if that is still done. The group of us walked the ocean floor in a large ne, between parallel bars to keep steady and high fived each other around the bend/ turns. It was expensive, but we were already in the park & paid extra for it. Highlight of our trip and the only photos we were willing to pay for.

I've taken this excursion and I wouldn't say it was great. There were several people all hooked up to the same tank so you couldn't wander too far. There were also a ton of other people in the same area snorkeling so it wasn't the best. At one point, I'm pretty sure my hose has somehow messed up because I started to get very little air. After looking at it for about .2 seconds, the guide just handed me some snorkeling stuff and sent me away. I'm guessing this must happen fairly often from the way it happened. Also, we've been to quite a few places to dive and didn't find Nassau anything special. There was some trash in the little bit of reefs that were there. Most of it seemed grey and dead.

After key breakfast this am, we were escorted off of the ship (bypassing all lines) and into the terminal where we picked up bags. We were then ushered into a separate customs line (with no one in it) and out of the terminal in what seemed like seconds. I wont spoil other perks of the key for you ?, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Port Everglades terminal 29. They had a different (shortened) security area for us, as well as check in area. Signs for the key are visible and the staff is very helpful. Seating/waiting area for key members is available as well. Hope this helps!

I've done the snuba in St. Thomas.  Won't do it again.  Now that could be that I am a certified diver and this just didn't cut it.  I did it because my wife and brother in law wanted to try it.  We were tied to a single take with 6 hoses.  The person doing the excursion was in scuba.  They wanted everyone to keep up but the person running it kept way ahead of everyone and kept signaling for them to catch up, I was in the lead and was pulling everyone along.  Not fun.  The air lines were about 10 feet at best so don't think you're going deep.  And yes, I think we only had about 15 minutes maximum, other than that we had snorkel equipment to keep you occupied while the other groups was doing snuba.    Actually, my wife and I did a discover scuba excursion in Cozumel and that was better.  Don't know if they offer that in Nassau.

The lunch price looks like a steal for $22 in comparison to dinner. I believe the menu is a touch limited than dinner menu, but still has the basics (filet) that a lot of people go for. I'm excited to try it being a part of the Key I purchased! I had always wanted to check it out when I was younger but my parents were never game for it.  Now I'm older going solo (well, with friends), should be a solid 1st experience for a whole lot cheaper.

As they enter the one end of the solarium, a stop watch will be started.  they have precisely 45 seconds from that point to traverse the length of the solarium IN ABSOLUTE SILENCE (Their time will be docked for every spoken word). Should they fail to reach the exit before the horn sounds they will be forced to consume an extra ration of vegetables with their evening meal!
