I work tonight from 6pm-6am (hopefully that's all, anyway - this morning my relief called in all Covidy-positive and it's kinda hard to find someone to fill in at 5am so I was stuck there until 8am - apparently most people, I don't know, SLEEP at night? I don't get it), and I'll be refreshing the page frequently looking for those new sailings!

Super expensive if that is the correct price.  I have thought all other new releases to be quite reasonable.

While everything is speculation and changing daily. Catalina has the Navigators first stop on their cruise port schedule listed as April 20, 2022. Could very well be outdated information at this point tho.

I have been waiting for Royal to return to Los Angeles for years.... I'm excited about this I've already told my husband once reservations open we are booking at B2B out of Los Angeles.  Hopefully the schedule works out where I can combine a 4 night and 5 night cruise but if it doesn't I'll just have to settle for a 3 night followed by a 4 night cruise.  Then fly home for a few days, leave again on another cruise on an Oasis Class ship out of Florida.  Next year is going to be a good year we are already booked on Odyssey in May out of Rome (depending on what happens with Wonder we may very well switch my fingers are crossed they don't just sail her straight to China). That cruise  would be followed up with a Navigator B2B, at the end of October, followed by a yet to be selected Oasis Class cruise in November, followed by our first cold weather cruise in January 2023 on Anthem.

I am excited about this move because I’ve been wanting to try Navigator since her amplification but it didn’t make sense to fly cross continent for a 3 or 4 night cruise. Will definitely be booking on her now!

STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT, ROYAL CARIBBEAN REVEALS NEW WEST COAST ADVENTURES FROM LOS ANGELES
MIAMI, March 17, 2021 – After a decade-long hiatus, Royal Caribbean International will once again call Hollywood home starting in June 2022, casting Navigator of the Seas as a “series regular” that will sail from Los Angeles. The amplified ship will broaden the cruise line’s West Coast offerings, sailing 3-, 4- and 5-night itineraries to Catalina Island, California and Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – plus, select winter holiday 7-night sailings will feature overnights in the popular resort city. Royal Caribbean’s new year-round adventures from LA will open for sale the week of March 29, 2021.

Can you honestly say, without fault, that the vaccinations that are being distributed, IF you took/received it, can AND will protect you from EVERY variant of COVID?? We all know that the vaccinations that are approved and are being distributed do not guarantee protection from EVERY variant of COVID. That's why we are still fighting this horrid pandemic and cruise ships cannot sail without guidance and protocols. There are currently are NO "100% vaccinated zone" in existence as if there were, cruises would have been sailing from U.S. ports already.

Navigator is a good ship to start market test runs for the West Coast. It the right size capacity & amenities for that market; and, hopefully it does well & become a more permanent fixture, for the West. Maybe, at some future time, a private resort become a consideration.

GlowTheWeird reacted to twangster in Texas lifts ban, cruising to begin in Galveston?
If Congress could waive immigration policy enforcement that prevents cruises to nowhere, it would allow cruise lines to take locals from Texas, or locals from Florida, or locals from any coastal state with a cruise port on a cruise to nowhere which would be no different than going to a hotel, visiting their restaurant and drinking at their bar on land.
With numbers dropping and vaccination rates increasing this single act of Congress would open the door for the thousands of Americans that work in the companies that support cruise ship operations in these coastal states to get back to work.
That would be a huge stimulus plan that doesn't cost trillions of dollars and it is non-partisan.

Would you still go if the cruise was going to sail at this point?  If so, I don't see any reason not to make the final payment if you can financially afford it.  If Royal cancels you will have the option to get everything you paid back 100% in cash.  If you've already decided you are going to do the other vacation no matter what, you probably want to go ahead and cancel under the Cruise With Confidence policy and you'll get the deposit back as Future Cruise Credits.

An update on this Topic.. January 15th 2021 MyVegas Slots had Royal Caribbean cruises offered... 2-4 night Freedom out of Miami and 4 nights on Adventure out of TX.  I grabbed a 4 night Freedom to Coco Cay and Nassau. for Dec. 2021  only had to pay for Taxes, port fees and of course Grats.  When I saw the offers each date had 1 to 3 offers remaining they were gone quick!!
