  1. Yes, it will apply if you go in and make a payment towards an already booked cruise!
  2. The 3pm thing was routinely happening when the 90 day mark came and folks weren't able to check in. At some point as the ships came online, as in officially started back with revenue sailings, it would then open up all sailings for that ship with at the 90 day or sooner mark. The default was 3pm as the only available check-in time. But then as the "real" check-in opened up all of the timeslots appeared. So basically if all you see is the 3pm, that means the full check-in has opened up. You just check back and edit your time later and eventually it will give you more timeslots.
  3. That's because the onboard purchases are recognized as a charge from the ship. This isn't from my AmEx but it shows how the charges showed up on my card. The deposit, cruise planner purchases and fare purchases all show from the same vendor. My onboard account from when I was on the ship shows up as the ship. The AmEx offer isn't a referral offer where you have to book through their link, it just has to show as a charge directly from Royal. In this case if this would be for the AmEx offer all of the ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES 800-327-6700 would count towards hitting the spend needed to trigger the cash back.
  4. All it does is recognize a charge from Royal Caribbean on your card so you could apply the payment to one of the cruises next year! I'm using mine to pay a cruise for next year but within the parameters for CWC. That way If I intend on cancelling or changing cruises, I will still wait until final payment so it I can then cancel and it into an FCC. I have plenty of cruises schedule to apply the FCC to. I'm fine with Royal holding onto my money for that kind of a return.
  5. Thanks to a heads up on CC..if you have an AmEx card, check your offers!
  6. Yes, the single will get double points and the port fees and taxes for the no show get refunded. One caveat is if the no show is driving a discount of some sort (C&A or casino rates for example) and the remaining party doesn't qualify, they may have to pony up the difference. You don't have to give any heads up for a no show. These things do happen.
  7. You can use http://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/ to purchase for sailings through the end of the year. Doesn't want to work in Chrome for some reason. So if it never comes up in the Cruise Planner try this as a backup option!
  8. Interesting..I have a NCL cruise in November that claims we're still stopping in Jamaica.
  9. @Matt ate in the MDR recently on Odyssey. Did you notice a buffet setup like before or was it only menu services?
  10. Check your reservation at this link https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/cruise-room-upgrade Email is always hit or miss for me.
  11. [For Cover Charge Products], Children between the ages of 0-5 are complimentary and ages 6-12 are $10 per child; children must order from the kids menu.
  12. It's only the cover charge places where you may have to pay the $10 per kid. If you go to something ala carte like Playmakers or Portside BBQ there's no charge for the kiddos. You could take advantage of the kids club during dinner and enjoy an adults only dinner too. FYI kids 5 and under aren't charged anything.
  13. You can make reservations for the kids when you make the adult reservations. The policy is it's $10 a kid and they do have a kids menu that should contain something the kids will eat. If not they are still accommodating and will find something. You may find you don't always get charged the $10 per kid. It is inconsistent whether they will charge, but it is in the fine print of the dining plan under Additional Terms & Conditions. Remember a non paying kid is one less seat they could sell to someone who pays.
  14. You are correct. Check in appears to open up for everyone at the same point.
  15. Speculation here, but he does live in the Orlando area where Allure sails from. Better option than perhaps quarantining on the ship.
  16. Since it was sudden there may not be an official replacement. I would suspect an activty director onboard is stepping in in the interim as anyone new to the ship would be subject to a quarantine.
  17. Could be worth it if the price is less in the end..doesn't hurt to get a quote and see how you would make out!
  18. Enterprise has a location in Bayonne. It doesn't offer a shuttle to the port so you are still looking at a Uber/Lyft ride for the 4 miles from the Enterprise location to the port. But that's probably the closest for you to drop off the family and have them wait for you. The location isn't open on Sunday and has limited Saturday hours. Otherwise I would drop the car off at Newark airport and just get Uber/Lyft to the port for the whole family.
  19. Where do you see that? There's a $100 fee change per person if you booked with a nonrefundable deposit cruise. If your cruise is before April 31, 2022 the fee is waived under CWC. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/booking-cancellation-refund-policy If you booked with a nonrefundable deposit, basically changing cruise dates is technically a cancelation and you will get a FCC for the amount of the deposit (less the $100 change fee per person if CWC doesn't apply). You then use that FCC towards a future cruise.
  20. If you have your vehicle you might as well just drive to the other terminal. In Miami you don't prepay parking so the cost will be the same to park at the lot/garage by your second cruise. You will also be off the first ship a couple of hours before boarding the next one and will have to kill some time.
  21. I find that I take way more photos when I blog my cruises. I always enjoy being able to read back the blog and relive the memories. Blogging forces me to better document my experiences.
