So great to be following along and enjoying Icon through all of you.  Seems like a beautiful ship with just "Wows" all over.  The Windjammer on this cruise too is first class!
Question about the sofa bed.  Has Royal stopped the trundle style sofa beds where a double sofa turns into two separate mattresses?  Or maybe it's just your room (as your looks like it's more of a double bed)?
I sure hope not as for our Icon booking we had to go back to a single room and our kids sharing a double (sofa) bed won't work.  The trundle style is perfect as they each get their own mattrtess.

I think @Matt mentioned in a video (I cannot remember which one) that some rooms have trundle beds still.

I'm not sure what the trundles look like in the other rooms. I will try to keep an eye out on social media for someone posting a photo or video that includes it!

And here is proof that I did in fact eat in the WJ. 😂 I would eat here more often if every WJ meal was like this! 

Hubby is still going strong in the WJ, so here are some pics while I wait for him to finish.

Rooms were ready when we boarded..they were giving out complimentary champagne in the Promenade.  We went to drop off our carryon in the room..and swag and C&A amenities were on the bed.

With that, it is time for bed. It has been a super long day. 😴

We got our LIB crystal block yesterday.  Still the old clear one.  We have yet to get one of the new colored ones.  😪

This isn't going to be a thorough live blog....I just wanted to note a few things about Liberty since it has been many years since we sailed on this ship.

Hubby came home from work and I broke the news to him.
The conversation went like this:
Hubby: How was your day?
Me: Good. I have great news!
Hubby: You booked the S2S?
Me: No….(wait…does this mean I can book the S2S?) 
Hubby: Ignores the S2S question…So what is the good news?
Me: WE ARE OUT OF TOT TOWN!
Hubby: How?
Me: We won our RU!
Hubby: We had a RU?
Me: You are now closer to the FlowRider and Mac n Cheese place 
Hubby: Well, if it makes you happy. 
He really is the best! ❤️ Happy to report that forgiveness has been granted 😂
Now…about that S2S 😉

Let’s not tell too many people 😉, but:
The segments when they came out were very, very low priced. The were a steal. We have stopped talking about prices, as it is a little bit of a sore spot on the ship. 
 
Currently, the prices have gone up, but they are still priced “OK”. The key jump is between an Oceanview to a Balcony (it was double for this cruise).  We made up this strategy by “mistake”:
1). We booked an Oceanview 3rd deck midship (we were OK with that)
2). We Royal Uped to a balcony with a slightly over minimum bid and had it accepted two days before sailing. We would have been fine with the Oceanview, but we all really are enjoying our Balcony 
… but don’t tell anyone 😂

Thanks for posting.  I find it fascinating hearing about your adventures and how they run the ship on a 9 month cruise.  I'm  enjoying following along.
I knew there were segments, but didn't realize they had segments that are just a few weeks long.

Many of you know that I was on fence with this sailing for the longest time. Even after we made final payment, I still could not find the excitement for this class of ship. And then over December with my Dad's health, I thought I would be cancelling (still could, I feel like every cruise is a game time decision these days).
But yesterday morning, watching live, as Icon rolled into Miami, with my beloved Intercontinental in the backdrop, that is when I first felt a twinge of excitement for this ship. And then, like you said, entertainment opened up yesterday, and now seeing some of the content that has been posted today, I am pretty excited too!
The icing on the cake will be if I can get the heck out of Surfside lol

I was looking forward to the cruise, of course, but over the past two days, that feeling has grown to absolute excitement.  Reservations for entertainment finally opened up yesterday, so I'm all set there.  And today, @Matt got on the ship and gave a live mini-tour of the ship.  I'm half packed (since I never fully unpacked from my Harmony cruise), and the dog meals are all prepped and in the freezer.  Seriously, gang, I'm ready to go.  I have 6 more days of work left.
 

So excited for this review.  We are on Icon next xmas so great to join in the excitement in the meantime.  Hope you all have a wonderful cruise.  Well, of course you will!

That's right, for the FIRST TIME, your favorite (only?) Royal Caribbean Blog moderators (me, @AshleyDillo, and @Lovetocruise2002) are sailing on the same ship at the same time!  This is going to be epi..... errrr... dare I say "ICONIC"?
I am so excited for this sailing.  There will be so many new things and so many old and new friends to spend time with.  Each one of us will contribute in our own way.  If there's something on the ship that YOU want us to document, ask a moderator!!!!!!!

DH and I tried to do the "Taste of the Caribbean" last July on Navigator.  Sadly, they didn't have enough people to run it (as they close the Bamboo Room ), so it didn't end up running.  They did give us a free drink though in it's place.

Sabrina, waiting to fly home and I've now read your blog. It was so wonderful meeting you and @recogneyes in person!  So glad it worked out. 
It's fun reading your experience on the ship and hearing your thoughts as every family can experience things differently.  And of course, always interesting hearing your about your suite experience. Btw, I agree with you on The Book. The singing, dancing and special effects were great, but the show was I don't know....odd.  (And I also did a double take on the "person" lying in the Solarium...lol).
Too bad about our Haiti day weather but overall can't complain as certainly better than back home.
Safe travels back home and hopefully our cruise paths will cross again.

Happy to report that we just did check in for WestJet, and like your scenario, when we got to bags, it showed $0 for the cost of each bag.  
So it was in fact included.
