  1. Here is the latest update from @Matt on Project Icon. With the blocks for the ship slowly arriving at the shipyard in Finland we should see major work start to take place later this summer and maybe an official update/name of the ship when the keel-laying takes place. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/05/25/blocks-arrive-shipyard-royal-caribbeans-first-icon-class-cruise-ship
  2. Great Pics Twangster! It is awesome to have RCG ships back in PC even thought that may just be for a few days as usually for the past month its been just DCL ships off the coast.
  3. I Found this great video on youtube from one of the crew onboard the Quantum OTS so I thought I would share.
  4. Sad to hear if true but it Makes sense as Tampa can only handle smaller ships and the major lines will most likely start up with bigger ships that are better for distancing and another thing to keep in mind with Tampa is the port is consider by most of the cruise lines as a secondary market in the industry.

  11. So good to see even folks from the government starting to get the cruise economy to restart again soon! Here is @Matt article on this matter. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/09/16/us-senators-introduce-bill-allow-cruise-lines-restart
  12. I think maybe Canaveral at first in the USA as it will have the most experience with LNG refueling of cruise vessels but also Miami could be used as one as Carnival is putting there second XL class ship there. So I assume the port will now be able to handle this type of vessel. But my guess is one day Port Miami will get one of these vessels as this will be near the size of the Oasis class. Here is a video that proves this is the one of the largest ships that are going to be sailing soon.
  13. Here is the latest from @Matt on the ICON CLASS. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/09/16/royal-caribbean-gives-brief-update-icon-class-cruise-ships Good to see this is still happening!

  21. Here is a in depth look at the interesting agreement form the government of St. Kitts to two vison class ships. https://zizonline.com/the-government-of-st-kitts-and-nevis-approves-safe-harbour-for-two-royal-caribbean-vessels/
  22. As of right now majesty and symphony ots is a floating hotel for a while to house crew that don't want to head back to their home country's according to this video by a crew member
  23. I Guess If They Really Wanted To Send Another Quantum Class Ship To FL From The West Coast And Save Some Money They Could Go Around The Cape. I Know Carnival Sent The Panorama Around The Cape Last Year Without Going Though The Canal As She Could Not Make It The Panama Canal As I Believe The Lifeboats Were A Few Feet Too Long.
