Jolly Ogre got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in The Dog House question
Well yes but I don't want to open a whole package for just 1-2. It is just my wife and I at home.
I give the leftover hot dogs to my dogs as treats.

I go to the WJ after dinner and grab some things to have later and put them in the cooler. As well as taking an extra desert back from the MDR. That way after the shows and some time in the casino there are snacks fo me in the room.

Jolly Ogre got a reaction from DDaley in Did the unlimited dining package on Oasis...won't do it again
Wow that is unfortunate. We were on Oasis in Dec and even at full capacity we went to Izumi's 1st thing when we boarded to make our reservations.
There was nobody there and we made all our other reservations for the week at the same time. Even when we were done there were no other passengers waiting for us to finish.
When we got to each restaurant for the nights dinner there were only like 3-4 other couples/families in the place. Even when we finished and were leaving there were plenty of tables empty.

Agreed, and I do try the non-hot dog options, they've just never been very good IMO.

Jolly Ogre got a reaction from Lexster in The Dog House question
yeah I have never had the "hot dog" I always get the brats or sausage and they have been great.
I can get hot dogs at home. When I am on a cruise I like to eat things I don't normally get at home.

I am obviously in the minority here but I like the Dog House hot dogs...I do agree that you have to be wary of the buns. ...but I like the hamburgers in the WJ too, so my taste(s) is obviously skewed from the norm.

All the above posts should give you an idea as to how we all roll... If you are cool and not a jerk you are ok. If you are hot even better...lol

Jolly Ogre got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Paper Compass's no more.
I always ask for the paper compass. I am unable to use my phone while on the ship as it is turned off and locked in the safe....
I AM ON VACATION!!!!

Jolly Ogre reacted to Tam166 in Paper Compass's no more.
We definitely want paper compasses. One of the reasons we like cruising is to unplug from our phones. I’d like to stow my phone in the safe and only bring it out to check it while in port.

Jolly Ogre reacted to SPS in Medical request
The automated response is just a confirmation that your request has been received. You should also receive a personal response soon; generally, within about 10 business days once your request has been viewed by an employee.
Items requested should be in your cabin on embarkation day. If not, your stateroom attendant will make note of the items you need when they introduce themselves on embarkation day and deliver them by the evening. Typically, while you are at dinner.

i sent an e-mail to my TA
Yeah since it seems that this sailing may be in jeopardy. It is no longer available to book and there is talk about it going into drydock.
I do not want to cancel this. I will wait for RCL to do it. For a contingency plan I want to book a refundable cruise on Oasis for the Dec 14 sailing. Then we will wait and see what happens.
