I really do agree Tony.  Carnival got the reputation of a frat house at sea decades ago.  It's just not true.  Sure there is more late late night stuff on Carnival, but truth be told, a blindfolded person would have a hard time telling the two apart.  
I realize, I'm defending Carnival on an RCCL forum, and I really like RCCL.  I guess I've dissed Disney Cruises because of all the kids and I've never been on DCL.  Truth is, all the major lines do a really  good job, and we may have our preferences, but you can't go wrong in a normal situation on any of them.

With all due respect, Carnival does a job that is overall the equal to RCCL.  Better at some things, not as good as others.  The menus are quite good.  The entertainment is comparable.  Their comedians are much better.  The place Carnival has not competed is in the arms race (ship size and innovation).  Otherwise very similar.  
When shopping for cruises, I look at RCCL and Carnival.  They are both in my price range and comfort level.  I would pay half as much or 2/3s as much for NCL or Celebrity.  I'm not really interested in Disney because of all the kids (my three are enough for me).  Point is if someone gave me a trip on one of those other lines, I would gladly take it.  If paying Carnival or RCCL for me.

We snagged it for ~43 bucks so the cost for our entire family of four is actually less then what the cost for one person is right now ?

Since the cards on the ships with WOW bands are the tap to pay cards, it works the same way at the slots and tables.  The card reader is a a tap reader.  The WOW band will register at the tap readers.  I did notice that these readers were much more obnoxious and difficult to deal with at the slots than the old way of inserting the cards.  It sometimes took several tries to get it to read and register..didn't seem to matter whether it was with the card or the WOW band.

I'm sorry if I'm a bit dense on this one as I'm new to the cruise forum world. I would like to avoid this other place. Are we talking about the CRUISE site with all the CRITICS on it?

Thanks all for the kind words, but the key word here is "community".  I can only do so much and it's thanks to all of you and your helpful assistance (and occasional sense of humor) that truly set the tone for what we do here.  Thank you all for making this such a great spot to chat Royal Caribbean!

FuzzyWuzzy is correct, you can get ice from the Freestyle machines, however it is much easier to ask your stateroom attendant and it will be taken care of. A tip at the end of the week is appreciated.

I have to agree that the community here is top notch. thank you @Matt for this great space.
