Just back of Oasis today. We had a really cheap guarantee room that was assigned about 4 weeks prior. We bid on several rooms but the sailing was sold out. 4 days before the sailing our "good" bid on an ocean balcony was accepted and we ended up on deck 14 in a great room. In the day or two before the bid was accepted they had a few rooms come back on sale so I imagine that it was late cancellations. The other thing is that you don't need the email to bid. I can't place the link at the moment but will do so later. A final note is that this is not unique to RCI, it is run by a company called plusgrade.com who upsell for many companies.

I believe there is a pre-cruise offer on for a set meal in Izumi where if you book on board it is a la carte. That's how it was for us when we were looking to book speciality restaurants recently, we ended up with a great deal on the Ultimate Dining Package, with which we get a $35 credit towards the a la carte.

I did, and checked price without checking box and it didn't make any difference

I'm in the UK and booked via an online US TA. Got all the bonuses associated and the TA arranged the upgrade when a better cabin became available. There was a check box to ask whether I was a US citizen or not, besides that is was plain sailing ;-)

We are taking our first cruise on Oasis of the Seas 30th December with our 12 year old son. We have read that the kids facilities are really good on board and have received various suggestions about what to do when we first get on the ship. Is it a kids club that is supervised, i.e do we need to be nearby, will he (should he?) be able to come and go as he pleases and is that wise? Should we get him registered at the earliest opportunity? Not looking to abdicate responsibility but want him to have a certain amount of freedom.

It a NY cruise and our first one on Oasis of the Seas - been tracking the prices of BP and it has only fluctuated by $3 since we started looking in June. WIll maybe see what happens around Black Friday as per other ops posts

Our Deluxe Beverage package was $56 without VOOM + Surf, $63 with - $7 per day extra to include it, worth it if you are getting the Beverage package (unless we've overpaid for DBP?)
