JasonL reacted to Andy & Sheryl Unwin in Fun Post - What's Your Cruise Day Like Drinkwise
Oh my, this could get interesting.... Thinking about our last time on Navigator
First thing is morning coffee, OJ and fruit delivered to the JS. out to the balcony
More coffee with second breakfast in the MDR,
down to the R bar, for Bloody Mary then stroll around the walking track
Back to the R bar, jack and coke takes me through to lunch
Glass of wine with lunch in the MDR
Back to the R Bar to let lunch settle and wash down with another Jack and Coke
Mini Golf
Back to the R Bar - more jack and coke
Change for dinner
Dinner in the MDR- 2 glasses of wine
Showtime - Jack and coke
Back to the R bar - Jack and coke or two or three
Sleep time
Just to see how the drinks package worked out, we kept a real count on Navigator. Remember there were two of us contributing here not just me
Monday

I cant list all my drinks in a day.....it would clog up this thread...its a long long list..........?
But it averages around 20-25 per day, more on the first few days, less on the last few days...a couple of those are water or poweraede though.....lol........

This has definitely changed over the years. Started out with free drip coffee and whatever flavored water, tea, lemonade was offered. Then I started adding in a couple special occasion evening drinks. The last couple cruises I pre-purchased a coffee card so we could get specialty coffees every morning and started getting whatever I wanted to drink in moderation. My next cruise(God willing) to Alaska I made my first DBP purchase and I'm excited to get loose ?

After 2021 I should be Diamond which is exciting, but I don't think I'll start thinking about Pinnacle for 15 more years.
Also what I like about the RC sales are how there could be a Super Sale 99% off and it may just be more than the sale that just ended at 20% off ?

JasonL reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in What ship should we try next
@Leroyr55This is the most important piece of advice anyone can give you when selecting a new ship to try.
My thinking is that any cruise/ship is a great one as long as you do your research and set your expectations accordingly.

JasonL got a reaction from Jacki_MEI in 2021, the year of many vacations
Is anyone else looking at 2021 vacation possibilities every weekend? My wife gets worried and excited everytime I pull out the laptop and "browse" while watching football and drinking a couple beers. It may not be a giant number for many, but I never have 3 "big" trips planned out for 1 year. 1 trip to Hawaii and 2 cruises.
Just upgraded from a 3day getaway to Alaska via Quantum 7day on may 24th out of Seattle. Went with cheapest room available on this one because it was just so darn cheap($1280 for the 2 of us). This cruise was actually $100 cheaper than my 3day I had planned... no brainer. Anyone else going on this one? YOLO book it

JasonL reacted to WAAAYTOOO in 2021, the year of many vacations
Other than the "big move" we don't have anything but cruises planned. Believe it or not, Dan has never gone to Disney World. He grew up in SoCal so he's been to Disneyland a brazillion times but never WDW. We may sneak up to Orlando once we get settled if the parks are open and we can fit it in between cruises !!
We have 21 cruises on the books from Nov 2020 through April 2022. I hold out very little hope that our 4 in 2020 (2 in NOV and 2 in DEC) will actually sail, but they're still on the books and I received cruise docs for my B2B on NAV Nov 6-13. Most of these are B2B with 1 B3B (Jan 2022 on Oasis). 1 casino comp to Alaska (our first time to AK !!!!) and the big AUS/NZ/HI/? trip in March and April of 22.

JasonL reacted to Neesa in 2021, the year of many vacations
We have 3 sailings booked in 2021 and am patiently waiting for the Odyssey itinerary for May & June 2022. I also totally enjoy the entire planning aspect of it, I thought about possibly doing the education and asking to join MEI but I know @Sharla makes it seem so effortless but I am sure her behind the scenes work is exhausting. I don't think I could deal with booking for me, or anyone like me and then multiply that? Nope, I'm leaving it to my expert TA guru. We usually sailed once a year, 2 the most on occasion, three is going to be amazing!
