Shall we take our guesses at what kind of food truck will be on board as far as menu? Wish list?

Back in July, I had heard Sabor, Izumi, and park cafe were being added. The staff had just seen the new sandwiches they would be featuring. I would love the new additions!

I have to admit, I like the recognition aspect of these events.  The booze isn't anything amazing and the topics discussed rarely "rock my world" but it does mean something to me that the company recognizes its loyal customers.

I always register as "Bradley Pitt"

Personally I've become of the opinion that I don't want land based restaurants on the ships to make the ships more unique.

There may be something on the horizon, stay tuned!

Odds Makers ;) !!!! When will Royal Caribbean have an app for use on board? Not just deck plans, but linked to sea pass account so you can make show reservations, specialty reservations, book excursions, spa appointments, and show cruise compass. What other functions would you like? Is Len Testa available to develop this? ;) If so, when? 1,3,5 years? I bet they would increase on board purchases.

I always look forward to the Indian and Asian food. Hopefully, I will get to try the honey stung chicken next time. Also, I love grabbing an afternoon snack too. It's usually very quiet and great place to soak in the view of the port or sea.

You're back! So on the whole tiramisu thing, I'm a little obsessed with the Italian dessert tiramisu. So the best onboard is in either Portofino or Giovanni's Table, both are good. However, there is a tiramisu dessert cup available in Sorrento's that is quite good as well. Now if I could only get Royal Caribbean to partner with The Cheesecake Factory and have available all of their desserts, life would be made!  ;)

It was aboard Radiance of the Seas... It was awesome I have to say and I wouldn't mind doing it again sometime in the future. The highlights for us was the sounds in NZ (Doubtful, Dusky and Milford Sounds). Milford sounds was truely amazing. It was pouring with rain and literally 10 waterfalls every 500 metres, just stunning.
 
The other highlight for me was Darwin. We did a "Jumping Crocodile" tour. I am still amazed that we just drove up to this river, got on a boat and these 5m monsters were just swimming about in the river, scary stuff. The Great Barrier Reef was also lovely, but had been there before so we chose on this day to stay at a resort for the day. There were so many other great sights. I might upload some photos over the weekend for you.

In a previous post i suggested that RC should maybe have there own version on their ships maybe called RCs Burger Shack or similar and having now tried Johnny Rockets and read your comments i really think this would be cool.
 
RC could still charge the $5.00 or even more and produce a venue with the same old style theme but with high quality handmade steak burgers, hand cut fries and very high quality sundaes and shakes etc and if on top of that they gave you the same service and dinning experience as the other specialty restaurants it would be a sure winner  :) .

I want Royal Caribbean to sail from the US to far away destinations, like Fiji or Tahiti. That way I can save on airfare!  :)

Just curious where you would really like to see RCI sail to next or again?   I know Iceland is becoming a new hot spot and I wish someone else would sail around Hawaii (although I know ships have lots of restrictions for that) but where else would you like to see them sail to?



 

I rather a delay on boarding that getting sick.... Been there and it is a nightmare !! Got a 24 hours lockup in my room, with a bad stomach ache!!

Not a fan. There is so much conflicting info on all these changes, drydocks, new builds. It is driving me crazy! Royal Caribbean needs to dedicate a group of people responsible for releasing accurate information. On CC a mod posted that Oasis would have both Cats and Hairspray, as Royal hasn't removed it from their list of shows yet. Also read something about Cats being the AquaTheater show because of the amount of acrobatic elements in the show. 
 
There seems to be a divided crowd, either some love Cats and the change, others are disappointed about not being able to see Hairspray. Personally, going with the family friendly theme, not sure how Cats fits into that. Not that is goes against a family friendly theme, but kids would get bored easily as it is not an upbeat type production. The costumes are strange and so is the plot. I personally thought Chicago was a weird pick for Allure, again, not exactly family friendly.
 
Shrek The Musical, Annie, All Shook Up, Grease, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Cinderella, Motown The Musical, are all great shows. If Royal Caribbean wants to stay relevant and on have cutting edge entertainment, they must contract with Broadway musicals that are currently being performed or just have just closed, not a production that is over 30 years old.
 
I know these productions cost millions to reproduce for the ship, including royalties. And I know Royal Caribbean has to be conscious about that, especially now that they are putting Broadway productions on all of their new ships. They are probably spending more on entertainment than ever before. I just hope they are making the right decision with Cats. Everyone is a critic and I've combed through a lot of reviews over the years and haven't seen nearly as many raving reviews of Chicago as I have of Hairspray.
 
Royal Caribbean prides themselves on an exciting, incredible vacation experience. Lets not blow it by putting people to sleep during the multi million dollar Broadway production of Cats. Hopefully I will be wrong and it will be totally exceptional show!  ;)

Hello Everyone, My name is Stephanie and I Love Royal Caribbean so I am excited to now be a member of this site and start commenting!. On Thursday I was called by Royal Caribbean and I was pre selected to take part in choosing what restaurants, days and times I want to do them before the general public. I was very excited about this because to me Dynamic Dining looks great but I wanted to get people's opinion who are going on Quantum for the first night of your cruise which restaurant would you pick first? They all look so good to me and when Matt was at the event on March 26th all the food he was eating looked delicious. Just curious on other people's opinons...  

Someone earlier had mentioned that maybe you could book a specific sailing (to get the OBC), and then reschedule it over and over further and further out. Then, someone chimed in and said that you would sacrifice your OBC by doing that.
 
I spoke with Cynthia from the RC executive office yesterday and very directly clarified this. AS LONG AS the ship that you "reschedule" or rebook on is the same duration of sailing and the same category of stateroom, you will get the same OBC as you originally got. Just something to be aware of.

That would awesome to have an oasis class in port canaveral! For us, it would save the airfare to Ft Lauderdale! Great to have three classes of ships going out of one embarkation port!

I am going to miss the MDR but always willing to try something new. The quantum restaurants look really cool and cover so many great types of cuisine. Too bad sabor is not on board to try as well. Just a good reason to try a different ship too!
 
For Izumi, is there a good selection of non sushi, such as cooked salmon or teriyaki chicken ? Was the hot rock cooking good? Thinking of taking my older daughter there for her to try it.
