  1. Great idea. That would be great for my two daughters next year. Very memorable.
  2. Maybe Florida, but why do I have the feeling Asia?
  3. Maybe a scaled back menu from sea view cafe? R.I.P. Seaview.
  4. Matt mentioned it the podcast I thought but then I searched to try to be sure. I am sure it's just for looks but wondered the menu.
  5. I would think so too. Maybe fish tacos? Maybe Reuben's matt? ;) my daughter would love a Mac n cheese truck!!!
  6. Shall we take our guesses at what kind of food truck will be on board as far as menu? Wish list?
  7. Nothing better than car service for traveling is there?! My favorite option. :)
  8. I think they frown upon being naked. Just kidding. Don't forget about bringing cash on Labadee for the market as well as getting chairs set up in the early morning. I didn't think about that last time. Embarrassing. Also, might check websites for cost of goods in the ports to get an idea how much cash you might need.
  9. Pictures from Venice sail up and the square at night.
  10. We sailed into Venice on our honeymoon aboard Celebrity Millennium. It was gorgeous to sail up. A lot of people didn't get up early for it either. Also, if you can stay overnight in Venice it's so different at night. There is small orchestra groups that took turns at each cafe in the square. Wonderful for evening strolls through the city at night.
  11. We probably need to discuss this topic title over dinner at Chops and further our research! :)
  12. Now if only for breakfast! Steak & eggs anyone?!
  13. I am not sure Falmouth would make the list. I need to keep reading but I don't see to many good comments without driving a good distance. Any ideas or suggestions for kid friendly activities?
  14. Hopefully one day I can just use the reserved seating. :)
  15. Yeah it can be a crap shoot. We have switched a couple of times. And it's just as easy as you said. On our honeymoon, we got switched to a table with 3 other honeymoon couples from Brazil, Peurto Rico, and Spain. We had the best time. Only one couple could only speak Spanish but others would translate for us. Just curious, all of us have talked about doing the specialty restaurant on Formal night, but might they miss a dining room "show"? What are some of the "shows" they are doing now in the dining room?
  16. Sitting at larger tables is a fun way of learning of activities and other experiences taking place on board the ship. A nice way to end the day over a meal hearing people's experiences and upcoming plans.
  17. Great topic! I love to hear about hidden things! Always nice to learn new things!
  18. Thank you very much for posting! Looks and sounds awesome!
  19. On Enchantment this past July, we went to Chops the first and third night. Chops is so consistent in the service and food! We love going each cruise. We had heard from others going to Chops on the first night was a great idea for a quiet relaxed dinner though i personally wouldn't recommend it for first time cruisers. I am a traditionalist too and prefer seeing the same wait staff nightly. After only meeting us the second night, our waiter saw us from across the dining room and came to say good morning the next day and chat. Our original table for this cruise was originally a large group in the center of the dining room, but we ask the maitre d to change us to a small table. We usually love a large table, but wanted a small intimate table for this trip. The maitre d switched us with no problem. The service all over the ship was wonderful. The cruise director was great. We realized after his trade mark "bing bong." It makes you smile every time! Even though it rained almost the entire cruise, we had a great time. The captain left coco cay early because on the rain so we could have so extra time in Nassau. They really try to make your cruise the best!!
  20. That's a great point Matt! The same wait staff each night can really make the cruise! One of my favorite things about cruising.
  21. Don & Darkcarbbie are so right! Chops is wonderful! Nice quiet dinner! Wonderful service! This past July, my wife and I had dinner twice on Enchantment for my 40th. One night was while in Nassau! City skyline at night out the window. Great selection on the menu. Though I do miss the rack of lamb .
  22. Hi! You can go to the maitre d once on board and request the earlier seating. There usually is spots that open up in my experience. My time dining is a great option too. It helps spread cost of your trip and you can eat at different times each day depending on your activities if you wish. It's just like making reservations.
  23. Yeah I would think so too. I will report in next year. :)
  24. Now I just need to convince my wife I need to go on a cruise to preview the trip with her and the girls during the school year! :-) I could take of advantage of those really less expensive times of year. :-)
