Adventure now has Port Canaveral itineraries for sale for spring of 2024. They were selling stuff out of Galveston for those dates before the switch announcement. I'm not concerned as 2024 is a long ways away and either itinerary original or potential new is fine with us. EDIT: Shipmate has now updated Adventure to Port Canaveral and the NEW itinerary that I see is available for booking at RC. Nothing been updated on my side either in the planner or the app.

We were on a b2b Christmas/New Year’s cruise, so all we want is the dates not to change at this point (and to keep the same panoramic suite for both legs). 🤞🏼

  2. It is too bad there aren’t more options with the Royal up and similar program since a we usually sail alone in suite but might be willing to upgrade to a larger suite that holds 6-8 people if there were a way to add on others (but it would be such a waste of money to do that just for the two of us). We have found ourselves in this position a few times with both Royal and Norwegian.

My 3/29/2024 Voyager cruise that is getting moved to Adventure shows a different itinerary now for that date.. (if it is being booked as a new cruise) I know our email said the ports would stay the same but that doesn't seem accurate as this is a new listing for Adventure.

Which ship shows a different itinerary? I think the ships are still showing the original itineraries as they haven’t been switched over yet. That is at least the case with the two we have that will be transferred.

Had a Balcony GTY on Voyager & it transferred right away - one and only time booking GTY, so it probably worked out for us this time.

You are saying that your cruise planner on RCCL is showing the new sailing with the same cabin? I don’t know of anyone who has been transferred that shows anything beyond that the original has been cancelled. Could you clarify?

(Our sailings show two ways - one shows as cancelled, one doesn’t, neither show a transfer as below)

I'm booked on Voyager June 3, 2023. It's still showing up as so on my reservation. I wonder when they will roll us over to Adventure.

August 18th Is the deadline for those on our sailing (and others?) to let  royal know if they want to cancel the cruise, so I am assuming it will occur around that date. Hopefully very soon after.

While I agree with you, we have seen a lot of posts recently that all sound very similar in writing style and contain details that make little sense.  This is unfortunately common on message boards such as this one.

    Internet troll - Wikipedia

I’m 62 and I’ve been on the Internet since my first Apple IIe in my early 20’s where I harassed 15 yo old sysops on ascii based text “boards” 😂😂 so believe me I understand there are trolls. But as a Clinical Psychologist I’m talking about human behavior here and in my view the nasty reactions are far more negative and annoying that the people who post about a problem (even if done with inarticulately or with frustration). A few are fake perhaps, but some aren’t (and no troll cares about derision so all that snarkiness thrown at them is wasted anyway).

My cruise list shows them both “Cancelled” but when you search for new cruises only the AD 12-30-23 one shows up.  There is still nothing showing for a AD 12-22-23 sailing.  So it seems as if they are accepting new bookings for our NY cruise which has me concerned. Since both VP suites are showing as “booked” (CruisingPower shows them as Waitlisted (WTL)), I can only hope that means they have them blocked out for us.  Either that or someone else has already snagged them.  I guess we’ll find out some time after 8-18.

Royal has a terrible history of promising “like-for-like” transfers.  That works our fairly well for people who are booked in balconies or insides b/c there are plenty of those but when it comes to some of the suite categories where there are only 1 or 2 suites in that category, things don’t usually go so well - especially when they allow open booking before they switch everyone over.

Guess I need some patience.  I’ve had plenty of practice at that…I should be pretty good at it by now.

If someone else snagged them I know at least 2 women who will be at their door screaming obscenities 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

One of my B2B is and one is still missing.  The 12-22-23 VY→AD is still not there but the 12-30-23 one is. 🤔

Good morning cruise neighbor 😂 Are you showing the replacement cruise on the 12/30/23 one or is one not there at all? We showed “cancelled” for both legs still.

@smokeybandit did you cruise disappear entirely?

  9. Just a thought - a lot of people will come to a board first with a need or a problem. They might first come with a genuine issue and then stay on to become a wonderful part of the community.  But when they post people so often scorn them, ridicule them, or just plain blow them out of the water. I see this on all the travel boards and it is at best unattractive. The main reason that people are “one and done” is more about the response that they get than about the intent of the OP. I wouldn’t return either in their shoes. Thankfully in this thread there was less of the attack and more thoughtful, helpful responses 😊

@michelle sent me an email showing the change from VY to AD and it showed both booking numbers - both Christmas and NY.

I told her that as long as they transferred my booking to the same category (VP) and it remained a refundable deposit then we would just change ships and stay put.  It’s a shame (slightly) b/c I was looking forward to sailing on VY since I’ve never been on VY.  Not a big deal.  Virtually identical ships.

I haven’t gotten that information yet. I hope they confirm that for me soon! We also haven’t been on voyage or we’re looking forward to that, but as long as it’s the same price we’re good 😂 I will feel a lot better when we get a confirmation on it.

Just received this email. Looks like we are being moved to Adventure with same itinerary.

    Dear Guest,

The International Maritime Organization recently shared new speed regulations we must adhere to and as a result, we’ve repositioned some of our ships for our upcoming 2023/2024 season. Our original plan for Voyager of the Seas was to offer sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida through November 4th, 2023, and Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida beginning November 10th, 2023. Instead, Voyager will now sail from Galveston, Texas beginning May 9th, 2023.

Adventure of the Seas will now take Voyager’s place in Florida and will offer similar itineraries! Starting July 28th, 2022, we’ll automatically move you to the new Adventure of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as your original Voyager of the Seas cruise. You’ll receive like-for-like accommodations onboard Adventure of the Seas, and your amenities will remain the same.

Your vacation is important to us. While we’re confident you’ll have an amazing time onboard Adventure and enjoy many of the same features as Voyager, we still want you to have the flexibility to make the best decision for you and those in your party. Below, we’ve outlined your options along with a few additional details.

Should be easier to change the title here to the new sailing than at CC at least 👍🏼 strange that I didn’t get a separate email for the back to back for New Year’s. I’m just going to have to presume though the same thing applies.

We were scheduled to take a cruise in April 2020 and it was cancelled due to the pandemic.  We are now venturing back to our love of cruises next month but still worry about COVID.  Can any recent travelers provide info on mask wearing amongst passengers?  I'm interested in knowing if my group of 4 will be the only ones in masks or if a good amount of cruisers still choose to wear them in indoor spaces and at events?  Thanks so much!

Although we are twice vaccinated and twice boosted, given the increase in this particularly contagious variant we are going to mask on the plane and in the airport for our upcoming B2B. We will have masks with us and may mask in the theater or other crowded areas of the ship as well. It is what we believe is best for our health and we also hope to try to avoid Covid jail on a ship for our summer vacation!  Honestly, since I’ve been masking during Covid I have avoided both cold and flu viruses and that has been wonderful (because even a bad cold can ruin a solid 2 weeks for me). Enjoy your cruise 😊

Lastly the signature lapel pins.  Not sure we would wear them, but would mean alot to have.  We have never received any pins through Platinum or Emerald.  Did they do away with this?

     Thanks in advance!!!!

If you don’t get your pins , you can see the loyalty ambassador next time you are onboard about that. They may be able to give you the ones you’re missing as well.

This does not make sense.  I just finished my 5th cruise with 3 different cruise lines in the past year and not one envelope.

Edit:   I just found this post that talks that it is hit and miss if you get envelops.  It is up to the Cabin Stewart.  I always give him a large extra tip at the begging of the cruise so there is no reason for him to ask for more.  Gratuity Envelopes? - Royal Caribbean Discussion - Royal Caribbean Blog

It is standard for them to leave those envelopes.  If you don’t want to use them, ignore them. We give some people extra tips including our room steward and the concierge so we find it helpful to have extras (although we usually go by guest services and get extra ones). I can’t see a reason to be irritated by it.

We booked this back in April.  $1900/balcony for 3 people in each (we have 4 kids).  Can't believe the price!  We have done 2 Thanksgiving sailings on Anthem and have a third booked, and they were each around $5500 for 6 of us.

Now I am eyeing the Voyager Easter 2024 sailling...it is cheaper than I paid for this one.

Wow, it is hard for me to think of 2024 now 😂 But yes, this was an amazing deal. We booked in March and got one of the panoramic suites - not as good a deal as the balconies for sure, but still not close to what we would expect for a Christmas cruise! Welcome to the roll call 😊

My apologies. I should have phrased that more politely.

Your info is inaccurate. Most RC ships have been orange for many weeks.

Please note that I did not say the orange status  was new or not new. I simply added the fact that there were several ships that were in orange in addition to the information regarding the uptick in cases in our area. My information was not inaccurate. It appears that you misread my post.
