Is the ship time for embarkation and debarkation the same time as the port that it's at or is the ship time a different time? Leaving out of San Juan on Freedom of the Seas in February So I guess what I'm asking is the time to embark, be San Juan Puerto Rico time zone?

Hey JasonL, I feel your pain by not being close to cruise ports that go to the caribbean. We are going on our first ever cruise in Feb, flying to San Juan from TN, doing a southern caribbean cruise on Freedom OTS. Plane tickets certainly aren't cheap, I guess if we had a family of 5 as you do, it would be put on the back burner. Save & plan to make it happen!!

Is the water that they serve on ship (faucet/tap) good tasting or nasty? I'm assuming its desalinated water.

we will be on Freedom in Feb, was wanting to bring a 12 pk of bottled water onboard with us, RCCL rules said u could bring up to 12 17 oz water or soda, but have read comments that they dont allow it anymore. **Also some people have commented that RC isn’t allowing plug in strips any longer. Do u know if they’ve changed their rules.?

I’m a first time ever cruiser on Freedom in Feb. I have kept looking to book our entertainment but it says to book on board. I was hoping we would be able to see what type of shows and entertainment we have to look forward to. I really would like to be able to plan and know what to expect. Kind of bummed.

So, Matt, first time cruiser going on FOTS in Feb...from what I’m understanding is that we probably wont be able to book entertainment until we board the ship. I was hoping we could get all that done before the cruise. We don’t even know what is being offered as far as shows and entertainment. Kind of bummed!!

We are coming from the states to San Juan, will we need to go thru Agriculture coming in & going home?

We are also 1st time cruisers. Will be on Freedom in Feb for our 44th anniversary. Cannot wait, but not sleeping worrying about packing, planning ect.Was hoping Freedom wouldnt be too large to enjoy. We will have 2 sea days which sounds like that will be nice. We have a balcony on 9th deck. Any advice, do's donts? Happy BD

First time cruising on Freedom Feb, 2019. Trying to decide whether to purchase internet pkg, just to check on elderly parents a few time while gone. Not sure it will be worth it. If I do NOT purchase internet pkg and there were to be an emergency at home, how would someone get in touch with us?

New to this, trying to figure out. I will be on Freedom in Feb. 7 nights, will only need to call my elderly parents a few times to check on them. Should I bother with VOOM to do WiFi calling, or I can text my kids that will ck on them? Any suggestions?

I am booked on Freedom in Feb, 2019 I was looking at internet pkg, VOOM, I only will need to be able to call my elderly parents a few times during the week and possibly text my kids. The Surf Voyage pkg and Surf & stream do not give details about WiFi calling or texting. **Also, I booked thru a travel agent, is it better to book the internet pkg thru agent, or directly on RC website thru planner? HELP!!

We will be staying an extra day post cruise in San Juan to explore, we arrive back at 6 am and wont fly out till the next day at 5 pm so wondering what we will do with our luggage before and after check in at hotel?? HELP, just trying to figure all this out. Can’t explore and drag luggage along

New to cruising. Love to travel and so excited. I live in Tennessee USA and am exploring all I can find so we will be ready for our first cruise after the first of the year.

1st cruise ever, new at this. We are cruising on RC in Feb, will disembark at 6am on Sunday will stay overnight and fly home late afternoon on Monday. Have found hotel we want to stay in, but don’t have a clue what we can do with luggage until check in and after check out while we sight see PR before we go to airport. Can’t sight see and drag luggage!! Please help!! Thanks
