Hey guys! Curious how others deal with the parent guilt of leaving the kids at home? Were headed out on Symphony in March 2019 for an adults vaca and I am really struggling with the leaving the kids at home. This isn't something new, we went on Adventure in 2016 and left them home. Just wondering how other parents write off the guild part of vacationing with out the kids.

Don't let language get in the way, many europeans speak english. I haven't cruised in Europe but lived in Germany for ~6 months, I learned to read some German particularly things like bathroom and menus and road signs for crossing and such but beyond that I had next to no spoken German and it was fine. If you can learn please thank you and remember to ask for the washroom you'll be fine. In general they are pretty welcoming- mind you I haven't been there since the new administration took office so some may have different views currently. Europe is awesome- Venice and Amsterdam were my FAVORITE. I wish I had the chance to visit England and Ireland but they didn't fit in my plans. Paris was neat but I won't go out of my way to visit again. My SO has been to Croatia and LOVED it, I haven't been but can't wait. I don't think you can go wrong in Europe! The Med is beautiful it is quiet warm in the summer in some areas and AC isn't as common there as the US.

@arora This might be to old but I have used my US starbucks cards in Canada, so I would think that there is a good chance a Canadian one will work on the US ships with the Starbucks kiosks

Thanks! Anyone have hotels they love in the FLL area? @Lovetocruise2002 thanks for the street recommendation our group does want be near bars/restaurants for enjoyment the night before. I'd love any recommendations for pre arranged transport. The trip rail and uber/lyft aren't something we are considering at this point with wanting to gather a group of 8-10 form point a to point b with luggage- we are all known for not packing light so we much prefer paid service that has a better set up for all the bags.

We did Mystery Dinner in 2016 on Adventure and loved it! I would consider it again ?

Hi! I am flying into FLL on March 29, 2019 and cruising on Symphony out of Miami. Anyone have suggestions on where to stay? We are a small group and will need 4 or 5 rooms for ~8-10 adults. It looks like there is a music festival in Miami the weekend we leave on the cruise and many hotels are sold out already.
