  1. Boarding wasn't bad for us (Suite & Diamond+) with 11 am boarding time. When we arrived at 11, lines were backed up at the outside checkin before entering the terminal. Obviously, many passengers were there early were being processed slowly without regard for boarding time. Once inside terminal, checkin was pretty fast and efficient. On board, its a full ship but all is great. While it appears there are a lot of new staff members in training (restaurants, staterooms & casino) they are are all very cordial and welcoming. I'm sure staffing up and getting up to speed is challenging in these times. Today (Monday) is a rainy day at CocoCay and cruise entertainment staff supplemented onboard offerings with lots of additional events (movies, towel folding, trivia, etc) to fill the void.
  2. And no need for masks in terminal
  3. Sailing on Harmony today from Port Canaveral . Long checkin lines because boarding times not being enforced. Not good but we’re onboard now and all is forgiven
  4. Thanks for your reply. Yes. It's a Crown Loft Suite, which I is Sky Class on Harmony. I booked a 3 night specialty dining package and my wife was sure that it was complimentary with our suite. I checked and RCL said no, but she had some document that said otherwise. Must have assumed we were in Star Class. MAYBE NEXT TIME!!!
  5. Does Key Loft Suite on Harmony include complimentary specialty dining?
  6. RoyalUp upgrade to a Crown Loft Suite came through for Harmony sailing in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Questions: This apparently isn't Star/Sky class (?) so not sure what's included. We originally had UDP for cruise, but switched out to 3 night package. Not really big drinkers but suite lounge drinks AND Diamond+ benefits should get us through the day . Any benefits for suite holders at CoCo Cay? Anyone know where I can find all the suite benefits?
  7. COVID variants caused some blips, but normally minimums don't go down
  8. I tried to get info for Rome, but search defaulted to Barcelona. Guess they need to work out bugs. Not sure about competitiveness of rates
  9. Agree. Do both, but then I'm a belt & suspenders guy when it comes to travel paperwork!
  10. Good to know. Since we drive to most cruises, we pack extension cords and distilled water for CPAP. Never considered a special needs request. Will submit a request for our May cruise as a test run for our Oct transatlantic from Rome
  11. Wonderland is a unique experience. Food isn't "fantastic" but certainly OK, unless you have a lot of dietary restrictions. Steak is steak and Italian is Italian. If the choice is to select one specialty restaurant, Wonderland is something you'll tell friends about when you get home.
  12. Increased capacity might lead to buying opportunities - - more promos!
  13. One specialty restaurant is open for lunch when you board. UDP includes lunches (when open) We like to go for this lunch and book dinners for the week while relaxing. Start your cruise off right and give it a try.
  14. We were there last week on Odyssey and the Symphony was also there. I believe Beach Club has a300 person limit. Not crowded at all, beach chairs - all with umbrellas, great drink service to chairs and floats included. Also has infinity pool tat's very nice. Lunch service was great, I choose the surf/turf option and my wife had lobster & prawns. If that's not to your liking, also other items on menu. Suggestion, if you go, make your lunch reservation in advance. Preferred times tend to go fast. We'll be back again in May on Harmony.
  15. Search "emed test YouTube" or "navica test YouTube" for videos that show entire process. Before recent cruise, I took test first and then helped my wife get through it. Sometimes a little difficult to understand verbal instructions due to accents, but if you know the process it helps.
  16. This was a great idea. Embarkation lunch at Giovani's and made all dinner reservations for the week. We previously determined where and when based on itinerary. Next time we'll also consider entertainment times
  17. Just returned from 2/6 Odyssey sailing and couldn't be happier with this cruise. First time back since Covid. There were 2,811 passengers onboard about 1,000 more than prior week, so looks like cruisers are coming back! Capacity is 4,300 with crew of 1,550. A few things I hope RCL keeps when Covid protocols end. Appointment boarding times really were great if you adhere to boarding appointments. Very smooth process. Servers in Windjammer is a major advance. Service with a smile (behind those masks). Keeps things flowing. Disembarkation is a major improvement. Rather than vacating your room and going to a designated holding area to wait for number to be called, you now go enjoy breakfast and return to your room to wait for your time slot. No hassles or crowded departure lines - - onboard or in the terminal. And easy to get an elevator As I said, I hope these changes remain. Did I miss anything?
  18. Just returned from 2/6 Odyssey sailing from FLL. We had a 10:30 arrival time (booked 30 days out when online appointments opened). We arrived at about 10:20, while others were queued up outside after they verified our time we went right in, however we had to wait for security to open at about 10:35. Inside, check-in was quick but then went to holding area awaiting ship to allow boarding at about 11:15, but rooms weren't ready until 1-1:30.
  19. A good idea to eliminate intermission. As I recall from attending original Oasis Cats production with full intermission, many in the audience simply didn't return the break.
