  1. We let each venue (Chops, Giovanni, Playmakers & Casino) know that dispenser was empty. We didn't follow up immediately, however, on subsequent visits to each the the dispensers were functioning properly.
  2. Currently cruising on Odyssey and have found numerous Purell hand sanitizer stand dispensers empty outside specialty restaurants and casino. Just curious if this is ship specific or have others found this to be the case elsewhere?
  3. When cruising, we usually take the UDP for our the weekend provide a tip at each service. Recently, we went on a 4 night cruise and decided to take advantage of the Diamond BOGO first/second night offer where you only pay for one person. An 18% gratuity was added to the bill. At restaurants on land I'm accustomed to tipping on the 'entire' amount if any discount was applied. For example, on a BOGO meal I'd simply tip on the amount before discount (ie. double the tip). So on our cruise I used the same logic and added an additional 18%. Service and food were great and it was well worth it. Now we're heading out on another cruise and I realized that the UDP total charge includes an 18% gratuity (never really paid attention before). Does anyone know if that gratuity goes directly to the specialty dining staff? Since we also prepay gratuities for the cruise, do specialty dining staff get a piece of that or does it go to MDR which we aren't using? Just curious.

  6. You're a lucky man! Wife and I sailed our first cruise in 1987 in an Oceanview room, she was climbing the walls and would never accept anything but balcony after that.
  7. QUICK -- - go book a 3 day inside guarantee and you're all set!!
  8. Are there different 'deals' offered on phone vs desktop?
  9. Just saved $375 by repricing internet, UDP and CocoCay on Odyssey and $160 on CoCoCay on Liberty. I'LL TAKE IT!!!!!
  10. I didn't want to be denied boarding on my January cruise
  11. Mailed passport for renewal on 9/20/23, received new passport 10/23/23. I did pay for expedited processing through on line website https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html
  12. Thanks for all the Liberty reports. In the past we've been on Indy & Freedom and loved them both. Great Diamond (oops, Crown) Lounge. Looking forward to trying out Liberty for first time in January. Honestly, I was a little concerned with condition but these thoughts have put me a ease.
  13. Thank you. Really great input. Much appreciated
  14. Well, when I offer to pay, they tend to line up!!! But I wouldn't have it any other way
  15. After 40 cruises, my better half would now like a family cruise in July. 18 in all, 10 adults, 8 children (7-14) so we'll need 8 rooms: 2 adults (over 55) - 1 room 2 adults, 3 children (13,10,10) - 2 adjoining rooms 2 adults, 3 children (12, 7, 7) - 2 adjoining rooms 2 adults, 2 children (14, 11) - 2 adjoining rooms 2 adults - 1 room I'd appreciate any advice out there that might be helpful? What am I getting into? Any special perks or restrictions? I'm afraid I don't know what I don't know .....
  16. Any info on RCL BLACK FRIDAY deals? I noticed that Celebrity announced dates of 'sales'
  17. I agree with those that have expressed disappointment with the changes. Increasing gratuities is fine (a sign of the times) but when reducing services at the same time it's a recipe for disaster. Now that former CFO is in charge, expect more of this ...... RCL reported Net Income for the third quarter of $1.0 billion compared to Net Income of $33.0 million or $0.13 per share for the same period in the prior year.
  18. The Diamond Lounge is being renamed the Crown Lounge across fleet
  19. It's YOUR money. If you're not getting prompt response, move on ... but if you'd like to give the AGENCY another try, ask for a new agent that would be responsive
  20. Thanks for posting this link. I hadn't seen this https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/05/12/8-mocktails-try-your-next-royal-caribbean-cruise
