I get up early in the morning. First thing is to go up on deck. It is amazingly quiet with almost no one else about. Then, I head down to the Café Promenade for coffee and to read a book or have a conversation with other early risers. I love the early morning on a cruise ship!

Blantons Gold label is a very nice bourbon only sold abroad. I highly recommend it if you can find it down there.

On another Cruise site an Assistant Casino Host on Mariner of Seas says that RCI will be going Non-smoking in Casino. Has anyone heard this rumor and know if there is any truth to it? 

Don't miss the flying fish!  Every morning I order coffee for the room and I stand out on the balcony to enjoy the sea.  If you watch closely you can see the flying fish.  Depending on how high up you are will determine the size your looking for.   If your above seven they will be about the size of a dragon fly.  Once you see one you will be hooked.!

Put the phone in your safe (or airplane mode if you must use it as a camera) and enjoy the company of whomever you're with. If sailing alone then go make some friends for the rest of the trip and enjoy their company.

The view of the ocean at night.  I love to go out late at night when it is quiet and there is no land within site to see the ocean.  That is the best feeling in the world to me.

Probably - after being here a couple days, we see it's age a little bit more. Breakfast was pretty much the same this morning, so DH wants to venture out to eat before we head the rest of the way to Galveston in the morning. I still say I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice and we'll probably get adjoining rooms at the Hilton down the road in February instead. 
Space Center was fun, but it got busy quick since it's Saturday. We toured mission control which has been restored for the 50th anniversary of the first moon walk. We plan to come back in February when we sail on Enchantment, and it shouldn't be as crowded since it will be the middle of the week. We're going to hit the hotel pool this afternoon, and repack our carry on bags for the morning. With the dog issue right before we left, I feel like I ran out of time and just threw in the the last items wherever they fit in whatever bag they fit!
 

The tubs in the suites that I have been in are slightly smaller than standard size.  But still way better than the phone booth showers.

I haven’t noticed any free snakes so far but the O class ships offer snacks throughout the day.  On non-Oasis Class ships the snacks are limited to a few hours in the morning and at the happy hours around dinner time.  I’ll keep my eyes open for the snakes though.  I will want to know if anyone else sees them.

Congratulations it really is the best perk Royal offers in my opinion....access to the Diamond Lounge. Inside you will meet some great people, they offer a breakfast in the morning, snacks throughout the day and a great social event for 3 hours in the evening with drinks and appetizers. There is a great espresso machine for lattes all day and the lounge is available 24/7 for you to enjoy, read a book and the view from many Diamond Lounges is amazing. You will also have access to the Diamond Concierge who can help you with many things and save you so much time as you will never need to go to guest services....

I emailed C&A who confirmed they can be shared.  It's a way of enticing others to appreciate loyalty and drive them to achieve Diamond too.

Most terminals have a Diamond line for check in.  It might be grouped with other tiers higher or lower but this varies greatly by port.
Some ships will provide a higher ranked luggage tag for Diamond debarking.  For self assist there typically is no Diamond benefit, join the line like everyone else.
Diamond Happy Hour drinks are from a specific menu.  Your favorite brand of something may not be on the list.  For example a gin and tonic today is Tanqueray and tonic.  If you only drink Sapphire or something else you have to pay for that like you always have. 

Happy hour drinks in the Diamond Lounge are not typically counted against your 3 "coupons".  You are allowed to share the coupons at bars outside of the Diamond Lounge with non-Diamond friends or family.  Bottled water is available during happy hour only.

My cruise in 2 Days on Enchantment will have me tip the scales to Diamond also!!!

Congrats!! Earlier by 2 seconds. No early/easier disembarkation unless you do express walk-off. You get three drinks per night on your card and Diamond Lounge. Besides that, nothing big, but I'm a Diamond Plus kind-a-guy!!! ?
