  1. Matt We are not that brilliant with computers, could you give us a quick lesson on how to include a photo in our reply. Cheers Ian and Margot
  2. Hi We will be one of the first to see all the new changes. We board on Wednesday for Transatlantic. I think its time to buy some internet and keep you all updated. Wish us luck :)
  3. Hi It is best to travel into London. The UK has a brilliant rail service, so onwards from London to Southampton by rail is quick and easy. Southampton railway station is very close to the port.
  4. We hope all goes well as its only 15 Days till our first TRANSATLANTIC :)
  5. Hi We are really not happy that this offer is only open to USA and Canadian residents. The prices in Europe are very expensive and we have high air costs when travelling to the States. We just tried to book Allure for May 2015 sailing from Barcelona, from a USA online cruise company, and were told that our price would be higher than advertised as we were outside the US and Canada. But, we still love cruising
  6. We agree Wrap up and enjoy the outdoor screen.
  7. Two things that have been very special are MONGOLIAN STIR FRY Usually once a cruise, especially on European sailings. Like all Windjammer special evenings, there are no notifications in the the compass. Ask at WJ which evening and give it a go. Its like the omelette station, pick your ingredients and they cook it fresh for you. PAELLA ON THE POOL DECK-SEA DAY (not windjammer but close enough) Again, usually found in the Med, but simply to good to miss. Especially watching how the make it in front of you on the giant pans. This is usually in small print in the compass. Well worth it. Enjoy
  8. Off to Indianapolis again. The cost of a flight midweek is £1300 and only £700 if you stay a Saturday night. So Majesty here I come for the weekend. Boarding on Friday for 3 night Bahamas. :)
  9. We had a grand suite on Allure in January and were a little dissapointed with the size. We had a look at the Crown Loft on dissembarkation day and would definately book this if it was similar price.
  10. The prices in Europe have gone crazy. Looks like the only way to get any deals is to book as far in advance as possible. We have already moved to other lines for this years med cruise. Is the same happening in the USA?
  11. Really Agree with you on this. Royal are loosing bookings due to this and really high prices.
  12. Will look into it Matt, see what we can do.
  13. Last minute Enchantment This Friday 21
  14. Off on a business trip to Indianapolis and have arranged to stop off in Florida. So what do you do with a weekend to spare? Take Dons advise and get on Enchantment. Sailing 21 Feb May try the Pepper Pot Grill.
  15. Don Biggest tip for Rome is do an organized tour. The city is quite a way from port and the traffic can be pretty awful. Its a long day, but worth every minute.
  16. After Allure we had to book, October 15,2014- Oasis of the seas, first ever transatlantic. March 29,2015-Quantum of the seas.
  17. Hi tsanders4 We are on the same cruise, 10 days to go, cant wait. You should be able to spot us on formal night, usually not many Scotsmen in Kilts!!
  18. Not a lot to chose between them, only real difference is that Voyager class do not have Flowrider or cantilever whirlpools. We have sailed on every Voyager and Freedom class ship and tell them apart by the car or motorcycle on Main street. Has any one a photo of the Car!! that was on Mariner before revitalization? Its the only one I don't have in my collection. Anthem of the Seas is a real boost for all of us in the UK and we will be sure to book as soon as available. Keep on Cruising
  19. Really looking forward to Allure in Just 4 weeks time, fortunately we are doing the Western itinary. Thanks for the tips, especially Johnney Rockets for breakfast. I will be sure to reply with our experience.
  20. January 12 2014 on Allure, Western Caribbean
  21. It is more of a preference over Voyager and Freedom class ships. These ships have a "closed in" feel with the seating area separated from the walk way, and it can feel a little cramped during busy times. The Schooner bar is a great place to hang out later in the evening after dinner or the show, and Vision class ships have an open and comfortable feel. I should say that all Schooner bars have been excellent and very entertaining. Roll on January for the first cruise on Allure.
  22. Vision class due to the great layout of the schooner bar.
