What's SY and HM shows?

If this CD is such a dud, who is to say this person might not be with Royal at the time of your cruise? SURELY if he is a dud some important people know this...ya know?

I haven't been on any Oasis Class ships (yet) but here are my rankings: Independence Liberty Adventure Princess - whatever one this was when I was 13 Holland America

Never been to Costa Maya. I'm anxious to see Matt blog about it. As for Cozumel, ditto for what everyone has said. Side note - I hear Mr. Sanchos and Nachi (Google this for more info) are awesome so my Mom and I will probably do one of these. It's not an excursion through RC. You pay for the day and hang out there. About 20 mins from the pier.

Okay, so I've done a little research. Everyone is saying DO NOT go to the Maya Key Private Island. It's literally spitting distance from the ship and I haven't heard anything good about it. I've heard LOTS about Little French Key. It's gorgeous from what I can see on videos and pics and it is VERY highly rated on Trip Advisor. Check out their website if you haven't already: www.littlefrenchkey.com Map showing distance from cruise port to Little French Key: I've also heard great things about West Bay Beach Club. Go to this website http://www.roatanbeachclub.com/ and click on Gallery. Watch the video (it's kinda annoying with all the drum beating but you can get the idea of the place). Then go back to the Home page and click on Shore Excursions. Here, it lists the costs for their daily packages. All packages include round trip transfers to and from the cruise port. The West Bay Beach Club is a little closer. 25 miles from the port: I hope this is all helpful to you!

I've also heard West Bay is WAAAAAAY better. Just looked at some pics and a youtube video of it and it doesn't even compare to Maya. It's WAY more gorgeous. However, in looking around, I don't see that RC has an excursion there?

Thank you so much. I had to schedule it and I scheduled on day 1 of the cruise with the ship photographer. He brought lights out on the deck and we timed it perfectly at sunset. I can't remember if he charged me a fee or not for the session. I want to say he did? This was 2 years ago so I don't recall. I do remember that I bought the CD from him with the digital files on it. I didn't have any of the pics printed there. He really REALLY didn't want to do it at all and was pushing for a black and white session in the studio. He kept saying it was too windy...and it was very very windy but that added a great element to the pics in my opinion. And the sunset background just made the pictures so special too.

Thanks! It's my favorite ever. Here is my 2nd favorite ever. And this little guy is now almost as tall as me and 14 now! :( Time goes too too fast. So glad we have these memories and pictures.

This IS a great idea! What a special idea and your grandchildren will never forget it. Be sure to take lots of pictures and you can create a scrapbook for them on Shutterfly or Picaboo for them to look through for years to come!

I have a question...have any of the gamblers here ever won anything significant on a cruise? Are they upheld to all casino laws on the cruise? I'm guessing they are? Just curious. I've done the slots and played Black-Jack on all the cruises I've been on but I've never EVER walked away with one red cent.

Me neither! It kept saying - too big! Here is a pic from 2 years ago. We had it taken on the deck of our cruise (RC of course). The photographer was REALLY pushing black and white inside the studio. I love how they turned out and told the photographer that if he offered sunset pics like this, I'd bet more people would book more sessions!!!

Well, the good thing is that because my Mom's plans are the reason we are changing the date...she paid for the change fee AND the difference in the price of the cruise. I offered to pay my 1/2 but she wouldn't hear of it. Can't wait to spend this week with my amazing Mom.
