So, just got an email from Celebrity for my September 2,2021 sailing and it was cancelled. Because the new rule coming from the CDC is if a ship has been in International waters when coming back to the US must not cruise again for 14 days! I’m seriously about done! I just don’t understand the hoops they expect Cruise ships to go through!

The post was meant for Crown and Anchor members to inform Crown and Anchor members how Crown and Anchor benefits will change.
The real problem is that Royal hasn't communicated anything to anyone else so when the Crown and Anchor team sends out an update like this everyone else is left to make assumptions and draw conclusions beyond the Crown and Anchor program.
It seems like Royal doesn't want to say anything until the protocols are fully defined and cast in stone.  The problem is they will never be cast in stone, they will continually change.  It's time for Royal to tell all guests what to expect and qualify it with "this may change".  

LMAO.  We were told to SMILE with our eyes when dealing with customers.  I never thought about fake eye lashes!  I work for a men's retailer.  I am the only female in the store.  I can see it now...Pima, can you put on mascara/false eyelashes for me so I can smile?

My Symphony cruise in May looks pretty full.  I tried to do a fake booking for balconies, including the neighborhoods, and they are 95% gone, basically 1 or 2 on every deck.  So how will they limit the capacity?  Should I now be waiting for RCL to say, due to lower capacity, we are canceling your reservation?  How are they going to pick and choose if they have to cancel reservations to reduce the load?  Date reserved?  C& A level?  Cabin level?  $$$ you have spent on excursions (IE, we have purchased the thermal pass, spa couples massage, coco cay beach club day pass, cabana at Labadee, and excursions via RCL at every port, plus UDP, DBP and Voom)?

The CDC is wanting our feedback about what we think should happen. Personally, I think this means two things.
1) They are truly wanting a solution to get things moving. They are under a lot of pressure to get the cruise lines up and running.
2) They don't have a CLUE about what steps the companies take to clean on a regular basis nor do they have a clue as to what to do.
This means that the Blue Ribbon Panel was a wonderful idea on the part of RCL and NCL. They will be able to give the CDC much of the answers that they are looking for. Many (not all) of the people that will be commenting to the CDC will be normal people who have no medical experience. They will just be going by what they have heard or seen on the media, no matter which they listen to. This is all well and good, but I trust that they will take into consideration that most of us are just concerned people and not doctors or nurses. I hope they truly listen to the BRP and utilize their suggestions that way people can get moving again. Sitting in our homes and not being a part of society isn't good for a person either. If it was then my FIL wouldn't be in the shape he is in.

They are not encouraging refundable deposits, they don't want to lead with it.  They want NRD to be the norm.

It could be, I was using Chrome on my desktop.
In desktop Edge, it is the old style site, in Desktop IE it is new and has the change date in the itinerary window.
On my phone (Android Chrome) it is the new style and the change  date is in the itinerary window there also.
I'm realizing this is way more interesting than what I was working on .... ??

Seems to me CLIA and the rest of the industry needs to have some better lobbyists and PACs.

I was reading a Facebook post about how RC will be staffing ships and one person posted that a friend who works in one of the shops on Oasis is returning in July. Also read that Headliners are being told to report to their ship August 1. 
 
Is it a dream? Is it REALLY going to happen? ? We sail Symphony in October. I’m getting a good feeling! ?? Have already been canceled (May) like thousands of others so trying not to get my hopes up too high, just a little high! Go away you stink’in virus! 

Southwest has over 140 of its planes parked right now, so supply is going to be limited. With a November sailing, things might be priced better by August. I would wait if it were me.

I was checking pricing on some of my short term cruises and noticed that some of them have a nice, big military discount.  It seems that they are showing up only on the really short term ones, but if you wanted to book now, get the military discount and L&S....well...could work.
My Dec 6 Oasis cruise has a $675 military discount but the one the very next week (second half of my B2B) does not.  Go figure.  BTW, it seems that they are allowing the military discount AND the C&A balcony discount so that's a nice discount when stacked together.

Wow, knock me over with a feather!!!! Guidance, leadership, taking initiative, creating an acceptable path forward, being a role model......I think American Queen and their fleet of riverboats are going to be very successful and be the first to return back to a profitable enterprise.
Meanwhile, judging from Richards Fain's MSNBC interview; Royal Caribbean's plan is to just sit idle "until they tell us what we have to do". No commitment to resume cruising. Then there is the laughing at getting employees back home <shakes head, very disappointed>

You better believe I’ll be on a ship vaccine or no vaccine! ? I’m DONE with this lockdown! 

Here’s how I look at it, it is a virus somewhat like the flu and we all know there isn’t a complete cure for that.  So there will be a vaccine developed and it won’t cure all, because it will be for a current strain that hasn’t mutated and will still require some form of treatment. With that being said, I say...let the cruising begin!
