I would also like to know if this is true. We do give extra tips to our room attendant and MDR wait staff and if this is just being pooled, then I find that unfair for those staff who go over and beyond. As for the ratings, that is true. That's why they highly encourage you to take the survey. Their future work assignment and contract renewal will be dependent on the survey results.

I just got a reply from the event organizer.

I’m not so sure. I went to RCL website and check. They are still offering this cruise but both Balcony and Suites are sold out. I emailed the event organizer for “Sailing with The Scotts” - no response yet.

I got an offer to upgrade our ocean view balcony room to a JS for $850. Is it worth it? We’re 3 people in the room, sailing on April 15 for a 7 nights Eastern Caribbean Cruise. If i get upgraded, I only pay $850 or are there other fees? For JS perk dinner at Coastal Kitchen, are the drinks included? Can I choose the deck level or no? Other perks I get for JS?

Yes, per my experience, if you want to avail RCL's current promotion, you forfeit the other one that you have. So rule of thumb here is to see where you think you got the most discount for your cruise.
