  1. C& A was able to add the points my DH & I earned back in 1988, from our honeymoon cruise -- as long as we could give them documentation. As it happened, I had our receipts (or whatever it was we had that let us on the ship) saved in our honeymoon photo album -- back when you took pics & saved the actual prints like that
  2. As long as he has documentation that he has 2 cruises booked, he can bring 4 bottles - 2 will be taken away and delivered to his cabin for the 2nd cruise. Hopefully, they won't notice if there are already some being held for your cabin for the 2nd one.
  3. I would love the first available time (1030 or 11 am, I believe). But, I travel with a disabled daughter who has multiple problems, and sometimes it just takes longer to do everything. We'll probably pick 12 or so, to make sure we can get out of the house on time - 1030 would mean leaving 930-945, & that just might not be possible, especially if she had a bad night or morning.
  4. Right now, "fully vaccinated", according to Royal is the single J&J shot, or the 2 shot Moderna or Pfizer (for US clients, don't know what the international equivalent is). Since they are eligible for a booster, that means their initial series is more than 2 weeks prior to sailing, so you should be fine. Hopefully the booster will give them even more protection while you are cruising
  5. If you're not sure how accurate the scale in the gym is, weigh yourself & the beginning, so even if it's 10 lbs off from your "home" weight, it should still be internally accurate to itself. So if you gain 5 lb on the cruise, it should show no matter what the starting wt was on either machine
  6. I'm good with all of that except the bathroom breaks -- no one is telling me I can't pee if I need to!!!
  7. DBP is the only one that is required for all over 21 to purchase -- all others can be purchased for whomever wants it. Keep in mind, if only one person purchases, then only that person can use it -- if they catch you sharing, then they can penalize you - ie, take away the package & not refund your money. If one person does want DBP, & the other does not (that's our case, one DD cannot drink for medical reasons) - you can get one DBP & one refreshment package, but you have to call More info than you asked for, but it's helpful to know
  8. I have friends ~ 2 hours away in The Villages, and I thought it would be fun to rent a car & meet somewhere in the middle for a few hours, but Enterprise is closed that day @ port Canaveral. Not sure if renting for a~ 6 hours is an option, and we're a family of 4 with a wheelchair, so need a good sized car. I was thinking about the shuttle to Disney or Sea World just to get to Orlando area, but then wouldn't have a car to meet them elsewhere.
  9. It shows on my upcoming Aug Oasis cruise under beverage packages, not Internet -- if that matters
  10. Just checked - UDP is higher - we're doing a B2B on Oasis, and are doing the UDP on the 2nd, 7 night leg. DBP is the same or higher, VOOM is the same (paid less for that on the first leg, 9 days, but ordered that sooner), and we haven't actually picked any shore excursions. May just get off the ship a couple of times and wander
  11. Hope that doesn't happen on my upcoming cruise. I won't drink enough to justify the DBP, but am getting the refreshment package, with the possibility of getting an alcoholic drink or glass of wine if I want, but not more than 2 a day probably
  12. Yes, DH called & had the no longer needed package cancelled. Oddly, though, I also had noticed that my Surf & Stream package had disappeared from my purchases & was very upset because I had gotten a very good price. I finally got around to calling them, & it magically re-appeared while I was on the phone (after I had also emailed through the "contact us" page). I did have a copy of my receipt, so not sure what happened there.
  13. I work in a hospital, so there's my risk factor. DH & younger DD work from home, & will mask when in crowded places. Older DD goes to an adult day program, & just prior to Christmas, was exposed, ended up catching it, and was still positive the day before our cruise on Jan 9, so we couldn't go. Ironically, we had planned on keeping her home the few days after Christmas break to minimize her exposure, but it wasn't soon enough. And, we had won a Royal Up bid to a 2BR Grand suite from our Junior Suite, which made it even more disappointing. We have a B2B scheduled on Oasis starting Aug 5, and we're thinking of keeping her home for the 2 weeks prior, again, to minimize contact. There's been several cases reported at her day program just this week, & we just got told 2 cases were in her room. They had lifted masking for the participants, but we insisted that she stay masked, so hopefully she is safe this time.
  14. I'm honestly afraid to hit the cancel button, in case it doesn't ask me "are you sure" and just goes ahead & cancels it all
  15. So, several months ago, when we booked our upcoming Aug cruise, DH & I were not going to get the deluxe package because we were supposed to be Diamond after our January Anthem cruise so we booked refreshment packages for 4 of us - 2 DD's in 1 room, DH & I in the other, reservations are linked. Unfortunately, stupid positive Covid test for one of our party meant we had to cancel the January cruise, which meant no Diamond status at this time. In the intervening time, I decided that I was going to severely limit my alcohol & high carb intake, but didn't want to fuss with calling for 1 DBP & 1 refreshment for me & the same for the DD's in the other room (one cannot drink, health reasons). So we switched so that DD & I are in one room, DH & other DD in the other so that they could order DBP. DH did it last night, but didn't realize that doing that did not automatically cancel the previously ordered refreshment packages that are still listed for the 2 of them. I went to cancel, but am afraid if I do, I will have to cancel all four, as there does not seem to be an option to just cancel two. I don't want to do that, because we got them at a much cheaper price than they are currently on sale for. Am I stuck calling Royal anyway to do this??
  16. So, several months ago, when we booked our upcoming Aug cruise, DH & I were not going to get the deluxe package because we were supposed to be Diamond after our January Anthem cruise -- (11 nights, Jr Suite (2 pts/night) + the promotional double points for booking within certain parameters), so we booked refreshment packages for 4 of us - 2 DD's in 1 room, DH & I in the other. 17. Unfortunately, no, since we didn't decide on the second leg till much later. We're actually downgrading from a pair of Jr Suites to a pair of Balcony cabins (we need connecting cabins, and all JR suites were sold out by then), so we decided to do the UDP for the 2nd one, since we plan on trying to eat dinner @ CK on the first one, if possible. Our cabins will be on the same deck, just down the hall which means we will have to pack, but hopefully our luggage will be moved for us, and not get removed & returned to the ship (not sure how that works, 1st B2B for us). I know we're last off, first on, but other than that I only know what I've read on the boards. I believe @ Cape Liberty we need to physically leave the ship, which is problematic enough with a wheelchair & I will be using a scooter as well.
  18. We are on a B2B, & for the 2nd one we splurged on UDP. Will we be able to have lunch @ Chops once we get back on the ship, do you think? It would certainly make life easier! I guess that will be one of the many questions we will be asking on the first leg of the cruise!
  19. We bring snacks for a similar reason -- DD has celiac, and we keep Gluten free snack bars for her as an option to bring off the ship in case she gets hungry & can't find anything safe onshore, and other DD has a seizure disorder, & we've seen that low blood sugar can trigger one, so we have others on hand in case we need to give her something quickly
  20. This, yes. I remember some kind of chocolate cocktail, (mudslide) which is vodka, vodka, coffee liqueur + heavy cream & a chocolate syrup drizzle -- without the alcohol, it's just heavy cream, so not anything I would like to drink - although you could mix in the syrup & have a very rich chocolate milk
  21. Good Lord -- we went there on our honeymoon back in 1986 -- we may still have the shirts we bought there.. (not that they would fit now, but still...)
  22. One DD & DH both get motion sick - we bring ginger candy in case we need to treat quickly, but they both take meclizine - usually 1 tab at dinnertime covers them until the next day. It can make you sleepy, and also interact with alcohol (adds to the sleepy effect) , so watch out for that - maybe take before bedtime instead. Of course, if you are motion sick, alcohol usually makes it worse anyway.
  23. Yes, that is the one I would make sure to take the original labeled container. My DD takes one controlled substance daily, and 2 we carry "as needed", and they are always in their containers. Just a caveat -- medical marijuana products may still be problematic.
  24. How do you find out where you are dining the first night? I have a time reserved, but not the location
  25. DD & I are both on multiple meds, multiple times a day. Hers are absolutely necessary for her seizure disorder, so running out is NOT an option. My DH still likes to tell the story of when we went to California for a 12 day trip years ago. I had a six week supply of her meds, separated into 2 weeks supplies each, in 3 different carry on bags for the plane, along with a fresh prescription for each one. I WAS NOT taking the chance of losing, running out, being stranded, etc. For our last 12 day cruise -- my intention was 1 week in her multi day holder, 2 weeks in bottles (I ask the pharmacy for smaller labeled bottles so I don't have to bring her whole supply) so that I can refill the weekly holder after 7 days. Go to do the refill, & realized for one of her meds, I only had 1 week in the bottle. It got us through the cruise, but I was upset about not having that extra week with me. For myself, I would bring 2 weeks in the med holders, and took pix of my prescription bottles so that I had that as backup. Our next is a 16 day B2B, so I think the bottles will be necessary. All my meds - Rx, OTC, first aid supplies, etc will be in a carryon bag. I never trust them to packed bags
