I'm on Adventure next month then again next June. Adventure was my first post-restart ship, too. Good ship.

Was on the Adventure last fall. I wouldn't say it was in great shape, but it fine. Last time we did Voyager class was like 2014 or something and have been doing mostly Oasis class so it was a little bit of an adjustment. One thing I'd caution is for the ice rink, when they were doing non skating shows and put the floor down it was causing the ice under it to melt and seep through the joints, so the floor was extremely slipperly (really surprised they didn't cancel the events). One thing I noticed was Johnny Rockets was always empty and the service was extremely slow.

Last sailed about in Feb. of 2022.
I had a great cruise and it reminded me why I love this class so much.
I am booked on Adventure for more in 2024 so clearly I have no issues with Adventure.

Toying with the idea of taking the grands on a cruise (after the last cruise with brother & nephew I have to be insane!!).  Nevertheless, I found a 6 day out of PC visiting Labadee, Jamaica and CocoCay.  I really like the itinerary as there’s only one day not covered by the cruise package.  I prefer to sail out of PC and the length is about right.  Trouble is it’s on Adventure.  We were on Explorer last year and I was not a fan, kind of a rust bucket.  Can I get opinions?  And do I bite the bullet because everything else works?  Can they please move that itinerary to a better ship??

I have three cruises planned on Adventure. One of them has the same itinerary. I will be visiting family in Jamaica.

I like Adventure,  but then I also like Explorer. Both are the same class, which means same layout, similar facilities and same age. The overall maintenance and condition is also similar.

we have 2 booked on Mariner and 1 booked next year on Adventure. I like that class, and as mentioned by the OP the itineraries are often great.

I think people really need to look up the word scam.
This discount is there, however there just so happens to also be another discount that is the same......under a different name. You really don't see much in the way of discounts at the early tiers.....or even after if certain promotions are ongoing.

With 23 Disney visits under my belt, I will say we afford it by knowing how to find the deals, just like savvy cruisers.

We got a massive deal on it otherwise way out of my price range.  But it was just heaven!

A long time ago, I was told part of the price difference is because there is no gambling on Disney cruises.  Maybe?

Deck 8 on Harmony last month was a great JS location.  Close to Park Cafe for a morning pre breakfast & we had a hump balcony so it was several feet bigger.  Still get twice a day housekeeping service.  I did miss being walked off the ship at disembark.  Of course the previous Harmony cruise was in an Owners Suite so that was an adjustment 😄😄.  If I could ask for anything, maybe a little bigger bathroom.  I mean I didn’t need the bidet but still the JR bathroom was kinda small.

As Pooch said, get a JS on the hump so you have a deeper balcony. The JS comes with 2 lounge chairs so the extra balcony space is a plus. We also like deck 8 with access to Central Park but those cabins book up fast. The biggest con with a JS is you'll want to try other suites eventually 😆

i’ve always wanted to experience this but q-class was a one and done for us. i missed central park too much 😂
we vacillate between an ocean view balcony and a JS. JS is always my entry level of choice BUT if it’s the difference between taking a JS cabin OR getting to go on two balcony sailings — especially in the winter — we’re going twice in a balcony 😂
i will say i do find a balcony a bit tight for us as far as storage/packing up goes, but we are pretty neat in our cabin anyway and there are only ever two of us. if i was traveling with three, i’d one hundred percent be doing a JS.
also i sorely missed the walk in closet on our last sailing on harmony… but i’m also happy we were able to go for $750 pp, so it was my cross to bear 😂

We stayed at the Springhill Suites in Dania Beach in October ($150ish) Hotel/airport shuttle and complementary breakfast.  There was a company in the lobby selling port transfers that I thought were very expensive but you could Uber to PE.  We were going to POM and used SAS Transportation.  In 2 weeks we are staying at the Holiday Inn Ft Lauderdale Airport ($260) and again using SAS.  The Miami Grand Prix is that weekend so hotel prices are higher.

I have come to the realization that JS is the minimum requirement for me.  I have stayed in/seen spacious balcony cabins and they are just too small.  I know I won’t be happy in one.  So if the price of a JS is too high, I will look for a different cruise.

Try out a Junior Suite once and see for yourself if it is worth it to you. We usually book a JS or GS cabin a few years out in order to get a decent price. We enjoy the extra space & double points.
