  4. They said not a problem. I saw some bad reviews, with equally bad responses from the company, on Trip Advisor but they appear to be quite old. Looks like a go for us.
  5. Ok, emailed them & they have room for us on the 9am - 1pm excursion. For those who have used them, how early should we plan to get off the ship? We are scheduled to dock at 8am so will we be able to get there in time?

  7. Yes, the sofa bed would be the reason I’d still like twice a day service. When we are not traveling with a third/fourth person in the room, once a day would be more than enough. I can and do perform basic cleanup myself. I hang towels to dry for reuse and don’t use ice. And we are NOT slobs. Our stuff is put out of the way so housekeeping doesn’t have to work around it. Might be silly but I would be embarrassed for our room steward to come into a messy room. Mom would say “you weren’t raised in a barn!!!”
  8. Yeah, If I need that, I’ll stay on the boat! Stupid question, how do you swim under water with a snorkel? Doesn’t the tube fill with water?? I know, stupid question.
  9. Yes, phone reps don’t know squat. And yes, the digital record should be accepted. I don’t disagree with any of that. I just know the terminal personnel like what they like for proof and the ONLY form that no one has reported an issue with is the CDC card.

  11. Then I would work on getting a card! My brother didn’t have a card either as he got his initial shots from a mass vax site & they screwed up. Took some doing but he was able to get all the information on an actual CDC card at CVS where he got his boosters.

  13. Anyone have experience with this company? I’ve never snorkeled but have always wanted to try. We’ll be in Bonaire on our next cruise and snorkeling seems to be the thing to do there. Old, short, fat, a mediocre swimmer. Thoughts?
  14. Never thought about that. I just grab the glasses over by the lemonade & such.
  15. I have never had an issue with the iced tea. Tastes fine to me I also have no issue with the water (not bottled) they serve. Coffee in MDR & WJ is also drinkable. I will add I cannot drink the burnt bean, overheated stuff served at Starbucks.

  18. You should be able to see all menus for MDR and Coastal Kitchen in the Royal app. You can then decide where you’d like to eat each night or at least get a rough idea.
  19. I see your point but cross packing for me means if a bag is lost we all have at least half of what we packed & we can live with that for the trip utilizing a little judicious hand washing. Probably wouldn’t need to buy anything more than the couple of shirts we normally buy on vacation. i will add that we are pretty light packers and always have essentials and a day or 2 worth of clothes in our carry ons.

  22. And frankly, I would imagine a large percentage of passengers are celebrating a “special” cruise, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, thank God we can cruise again, etc etc etc. I spent 25 years as a customer service manager. Sometimes you just can’t fulfill every expectation.
  23. We have been fortunate to get one for every cruise we’ve booked. They are not always available, yes one day, no the next. Amount goes up and down. I book what I want and then check a couple times a week til I find it. Our next cruise in October, it showed up maybe 2 months after I booked but it was $520!
  24. I too applaud you calm relating of your issue but, except for the boarding fiasco which may or may not have been Royal’s fault, I don’t see actionable problems. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday on our last cruise AND informed the suites concierge. Dinner came and went with no acknowledgement. A cupcake with a candle would have been nice but there is no guarantee that anything will be done. As for your view, there are many sites through which you can research cabins. A good TA can also assist. It’s not Royal’s fault your view was not up to your expectations. If view was very important, as I’m sure it was, you needed to be more proactive in choosing your cabin. Sorry JMHO
