I can't wait to see the food pics from that!  I saw two words on that menu and I already know we are trying it..."Dungeness crab" 

There's nothing quite like one's first cruise. Enjoy! Just be warned, it will likely lead to more.

I hope all goes well. I had surgery on my knee in the early '90s; it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Walked out of surgery not needing any additional pain pills and haven't had any issues with it since. I've even competed in about a half dozen marathons and have a goal to do a full marathon by 50, but I need to lose some excess weight first to make that a reality.
My guess is that this is one of the most common surgeries, so I'm sure all will go well as you continue to recover.
I do find anti-inflammatories very useful when flying or sitting for long periods of time, though. Mostly for my left knee which was never operated on as it only flares up every 3-5 years and by the time I get an appointment with the orthopedist the pain has usually gone away. Go figure!
 

I would reckon that would be the reasoning, I'm young ( ish) and say I was going on a short cruise I wouldn't want to go shopping I would want to drink as much Heineken as I could and Eat my self silly till my pants popped open.

I'm not tied into school schedules anymore, husband is retired, but I get where you are going with the biggest ships. I will sail on one of them in the future as @Sabrinaklai will force me into it, but for right now, the smaller ones are better for us.  Reading, a few cocktails, casino is about what we are looking for now..

Driving this morning was totally fine. A little uncomfortable getting in and out, but no real pain.
I do think I overdid it a bit yesterday. Knee seems a little less stable / more prone to twinges and slight popping when I take normal-length steps this morning; I'm going to be taking it slower today, not do the stairs nearly as much, and definitely not cooking dinner (although last night's Rarebit with a really good Belgian-style Quadrupel was quite tasty ?).
I do have to work today and the rest of the week, but at least I'm able to do that from home and I can use the recliner with my laptop as needed.

Don't know what the VIP status is, must be something she/he gets being exec. I'm sure you will be treated like royalty.  But while you're chit-chatting with her/him, can you ask her/him to set my crown and anchor status to pinnacle?

Hi @TrixieBOI welcome. Just did a check for the schedule on the 21st and there will be 5 ships in that day. With a total of about 17,000 total passengers. The major beach will be very busy and Calico Jacks can be slow even on a normal day. Any of the public beaches allow you to drink BYOB but Calico's would not be too fond of you drinking right by them. On a busy day the beaches you would want to avoid are the beach at royal palms and the main public beach. If you can get a bus to take you to governors beach (next to the governors house) it is normally a little nicer and there are 2 liquor stores almost right across. Another lesser know place that is not bad is the west bay public beach although the liquor store is a few minutes away. I hope this helps a bit. I also post daily updates on periscope (although I still haven't left the house for today's yet  ) you can find me at @LetsTryThisPlace there. I give little overview of the day and sometimes mention some secret spots. If you do go to public beach I forgot to mention there are multiple restaurants around there, my favorite is Dukes. Its across the road so is rarely busy. (Sorry for the long post lol but let me know if you need more help) also thanks @twangster for the ping.

Well, I guess you and your friends were being really b-a-a-a-a-d.

Unless your TA has thrown in specific items like a specialty dinner or something you shouldn't need anything from the TA.  To check in at the terminal you need the SetSail pass.  You don't need to print the whole 'edoc' package after checking in online.  SetSail passes vary by ship.  As Royal implements new check in changes this year it may change again.  They are trying to make the check in process go even faster so you spend less time in the terminal and more time on your vacation.  
In truth you can just show up to the terminal and be checked in but it's better to have the SetSail pass and luggage tags printed ahead of time.  The porters at the terminal can make up a luggage tag on the spot but it's better to print them in color and to have them attached to your bags already when you pull up to the terminal.
