I was able to convince my wife to do the lunch. Dinner was a little high for us but we opted to do the lunch instead. Looking forward to trying it. They better have the Red Velvet that everyone keeps teasing me over lol. If not I'll try to request it anyways and let you guys know what happens.

I am also sure that the major places like the port and airport will have some type of backup power source even if not everything is functional enough will be. I remember in 2004 we had hurricane Ivan that destroyed our island. It's crazy how fast you can get back on your feet when everyone pulls together. Some of the issues could be that the system is probably not 100% operational so some systems overwork or are on spare parts just to get them working while supplies arrive and that can put stress on the systems. The one problem with living in the Caribbean is getting supplies. It can take up to 3 weeks from the time I order something till it gets here due to logistics.

We would most likely never be able to do these classes of rooms unless we were upgraded. As mentioned before, if we had some type of free or really cheap upgrade fee, it would be really hard to tip big. I do believe in tipping but there must be a point. Tipping the same amount as my tickets sounds insane to me but again this class wouldn't be a norm for me anyway. I rather spend less and do more trips. They must be understanding when some people tip more then others, I am sure they can tell when someone gives them what they can even if they feel like they deserved more. I would say tip what you feel you can afford but yet shows you are really thankful for their help. I am sure they are used to different situations and will appreciate whatever they get. I mean they must be happy with what they make if they continue to renew their contracts.

I remember when I would go with WestJet once it went to Cayman direct as it was 1/4 of the Air Canada prices although, those I hear are much better now. But part of the blame might be the taxes. I remember leaving Hamilton, ON to Kelowna, BC was way cheaper than from Toronto. I think these other companies would benefit from leaving from some of these smaller cheaper airports. Its bad when driving over the border an hour saves you half the price.

Good luck, that is the only way to do it when they tell you can, might as well go all or nothing.

Noticing on another thread about some people not having LightRoom there is a free editor that I tried recently and does a decent job. Gimp, its not the best by any means but for a free software it does a great job also pixlr is a good web-based option.

Then lower base price again? It went back after the sale, I know Royal loves to play a fast one on their pricing though lol.

Do not get on the boat until the last minute either. It sits there bobbing until they are ready to go. Did not bother me as I go on boat kind of often but it's a long and rough trip.

Their math has always confused me like the last sale for the internet. Sale said 30% but was $15.99pd then at 20% still $15.99? I was so confused. I would have booked it if it was lower but I mean what sale was that. No clue where they calculate these things if they even double check them. Would it have made a difference if I had called?

That's something to watch out for in the Caribbean. Refills are rarely free. I can't think of any place here in Cayman that has free refills, to be honest. I am always shocked when I go back to Canada or the States and see my bill is only 1 lol.

I guess there's an age that you decide who cares what people think just do you and let everything do its own thing. It's more of the self-conscious people who are to blame for not a younger crowd I guess. Europeans seem to be freer as well, so I guess culture and stigma have to deal with it too. (also no disrespect to anyone over the age you rock in my mind) Does anyone know of any good tours that take you to both beaches or is it better to taxi around?

I know the real reason you want Orient Beach lol jk. But ya thinking of trying both myself but might not decide till we get there what our plan is lol.

This also could be because on the first night on some ships there is the murder mystery dinner in Giovanni's.

Ya at $39 /pp pd is worth it for sure but not the $55 to me at least just because my wife drinks so little.

We don't really have any real all-inclusive's here, there are a few resort for a day but I don't really feel it's worth it unless you are wanting a place to nap mid day. There are a few options to create your own kind of quiet day but nothing all-inclusive. The best option for snorkelling would be somewhere like sunset house or paradise (both have reasonable prices and amazing sights) Sunset house is normally quieter as not many tourists know about it. There is another beach a little past that called Smith Cove. Its also less busy as most people want to enjoy Seven Mile but honestly Seven Mile is not that great for snorkelling. You could walk to these places but shouldn't be too much of a taxi ride and maybe they could stop at a liquor store before heading to the beach ;). Another pretty private beach is Star Fish point.

Haha, don't think she'd go for that. She'd say something like "Alright then I will take one for the team and travel instead." She gets way more vacation then I do so ya sucks for me lol, (although I will already be 8 points ahead of her ) lol

I can't wait to be diamond. Just a few more to go, you know like 64 more points after March's cruise
