Website glitch where the options don't really match the offering.  I always pick the first available time as the selection does not really change anything.

We bounce back and forth between all cabin types but the one we were looking forward to the most was our Central Park Balcony.  However, it fell flat.  We did NOT enjoy CPB because of the noise.  There was always noise from CP or from the top deck.  We agreed that we'd prefer an ocean-facing balcony or an interior much better.

Ouch.  I got my room assignment.  While it isn't quite the LAST room I would have picked it's right up there.  Location is not great for me compared to where I spend most of my time, but it means I'll have an opportunity to go up/down a lot of stairs.  #nostairchallenge

I'm just going to say I am the biggest fan of the MDR experience.  I love it soup to nuts!
I organized a group of 18 with mostly adults but a 4 or so under 16.  They put us all together at a very long table off to the side.  They even had the table marked with a big reserved sign on it with my name which was a nice touch.  However it wasn't as great as it could have been, but it was all our fault.  Sometimes we were not all there right on time, people would move around based on whatever conversation was going on - it was a tiny bit chaotic.  Taking the order of 18 people took quite a long time and inevitably someone would want to change their order by the end of the process.  Dinner was slow and clunky - again all our fault.
We did it again the following year and did multiple tables of either 6 or 8 and had a much better experience.  So my two cents is get a couple of tables instead of trying to act as one big party.

Also it's now 1 bottle of wine per person. So if it is 1 person in a room they can bring 1, 2 people can bring 2, etc. It is no longer 2 per room.

Please don't do this. The pass is tied to your sea pass card, and your photo will display on the screen when they scan the card. If you get caught the package could be revoked without a refund. I recommend swapping your dad and girl friend on the reservation, and then you both get the package and she won't have to if she's in a cabin by herself.

You actually will get the benefits of RoyalUpping to a suite, just not the extra loyalty point per night. The suite GTY gets the benefits of the room you end up getting and you still get the extra point per night as well.

I don't think that's going to cut it.  It appears the Catholics have a pretty firm stance that online service will not cut it.  Below is what I found supporting this.  The reason for all this - I'm hoping to bring my nephews on a cruise, but their mother is hardcore Catholic and does not bend.  Trying to figure out how I can position this to increase the possibility of being able to bring them.

The short answer is "no." The Church requires us to attend Mass, in person, on all Holy Days of Obligation and Sundays. Individually viewing the Mass will never substitute for this encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. Attendance at Mass is also commanded by the Third Commandment. This is commanded by Jesus in two distinct places.

That strategy is short sighted and punishes the wrong people.
If you feel that strongly about the direction of the line, that’s fine. You shouldn’t cruise until you see a change back in the direction you like.
I used to go to Disney World all the time but their guest policy changes ruined the product for me, so I stopped going.

The hard working crew members deserve better from you if you continue to sail.

    Dude seriously!
I'd like to think that the posters on the Blog regard all Royal Caribbean crew as our friends; I certainly do. Talking bad and unjustly punishing our friends is not cool.
When you divide the $16 a day gratuity by the number of crew onboard who receive a portion....I come up with Jack Squat. Jack Squat is in no way an appropriate or adequate tip amount for the services received during a cruise day.
    It's 2023 not 1923.

So your way of getting even with RC is to take it out on their poorest employees, who often come from 3rd world countries, and do all of the work that makes your onboard experience wonderful and had nothing to do with any decision you may be groaning about? Sounds logical….said no one!

You don't like RC's policy changes, so you're going to take it out on the hardworking crew who have absolutely no say over those changes.  Wow.

Sorry, but this is just a bad idea.  Right or wrong, this is how crew are compensated - they are not the ones who are making the cutbacks.
If you feel like service levels at Royal have dropped, your recourse would be to sail another line or take a different vacation.
I'm not necessarily happy with the recent cut backs, but I do see it as a way to attempt to keep the cost of cruises down in an environment where costs are skyrocketing.  Think about food costs alone in 2023 vs 2020 and imagine how that is affecting the profit line.

Or don't do that to the crew....more people than not are going to pay the gratuities, so you won't be doing any harm to the company- just the people who helped you during your cruise. I haven't noticed or been bothered enough by cut backs to cause me to want them out of business. If you don't like how they operate- there are plenty of other lines you can try (all doing the same thing, by the way)

My concierge requested laundry detergent, softener and dryer sheets when I asked what I could bring besides $$ of course. They do their own laundry and apparently that stuff is expensive on the ship. I purchased smaller versions but multiple of fragrance free items, I thought he would kiss us, he was so grateful. Tried to pay us for the items. I was mindful of limited space considerations so no big jugs. His smile was priceless.
Keep your space uncluttered for ease of movement and cleaning as well as gift him/her a day off. We do this at least once each sailing, just get enough towels, they really appreciate it.

Man, drives me nuts when I see people say the deluxe is not worth it because they can't drink that much alcohol....
PSA,its not just alcohol!!! when you factor in the price per day that means ALL drinks (coffee, juices, smoothies, soda, and yes booze) all of that adds up quick!
Rant over, and yes, I understand the deluxe is not for everyone (non drinkers, voucher people, etc)
Thanks for joining my ted talk
