  1. When i was 15 i was in a glider that almost crashed into a building, it took me another 15 yrs after that to get back up in the air and i hated it!!! Being honest i had to be half cut before boarding and only did short flights of about 2 hrs max to Paris. However i had to bite the bullet and do long haul and take family to Orlando for a vacation. Hated Orlando but best thing i did was a long haul flight! Wish i had done it sooner because being in the air for a longer period of time about 8hrs helped me more than just being up 2. Also the more you do it, the more you become accustomed to it, now i can't wait to fly off somewhere new.
  2. Is their a question to your post or is it just your observation your getting off your chest?
  3. If you google op name you will find a dated twitter account where i would say its an account set up to be used for paid reviews or links. Companies pay people for positive reviews on their own pages jusr as they also pay for negative reviews for their competitors.
  4. Tattoos !!! There are a number of countries where having tattoos can cause issues.
  5. It really must have been a bad cruise as the post is all underlined. Hopefully OP returns so they can fill in the blanks as to why it was so bad!
  6. No all is good im mixed race 1/4 RC Irish Gypsy, 1/8 English, The rest Scottish ...in saying that i did donate 2 pints of blood just to make sure the english pint was gone lol
  7. Mmmmm brown sauce The only thing related to the houses of Parliament that gets my vote And so much tastier than tomato sauce or Ketchup
  8. I was going to ask if the chip butty was in a roll, bap or a softie ( same thing different name ) but thought it would confuse the situation more lol Yes ....Boris Johnson !!!! Everyone calls him the same thing....useless
  9. great when you go on vacation though, all those people trying to force sell things soon get fed up and go away when your just standing there saying...fits at? Fit? Fit you onaboot?
  10. Its ok its complicated lol Great Britain ( GB )comprises the countries of Scotland, England and Wales. United Kingdom ( UK ) comprises the Countries in GB and Northern Ireland ( NI) The British Isles consists of Countries in the UK and Ireland. At Athletic sporting events such as the European or World Championships a GB and NI team is entered however at the Olympics the team is from GB only, NI joins with southern Ireland to compete as a one Ireland team. As mentioned previously international team sports are kept to individual nations! The exception is Rugby Union which has the Barbarians who play tour matches.
  11. Yeah we are used to it now lol When we did used to qualify ( 74, 78, 82, 86, 90 etc etc ) we used to be home before the postcards we sent Also we only get 2 weeks holiday so we couldnt stay any longer Reason no UK team at events or a Male GB team at the Olympics is that some in power at Fifa and Uefa want it that way all the time! No separate nations just 3 or 4 countries under 1 flag! Bit like the old Soviet Union. But more importantly for us scots we wouldn't be able to support ABE....
  12. Just pointing out that the UK has never had a team at World Cup!
  13. The Timing of matches could determine a lot due to the time difference. Lunchtime kickoffs would mean it could be 3 or 4 am onboard some cruises
  14. Probably because its not an RC excursion! Also its the Caribbean! There's sharks! Its not rocket science to know everytime you go in the water your sharing it with creatures that can attack!
  15. The Winter 2024 is the confusing part! November not that far away so not long now until schedules are released.
  16. Europen carry on size chart European Airlines are on a par with most other airlines.
  17. Stayed in The Renwick near grand central and The Grand Hyatt. Both were good, Renwick is a Boutique Hotel not sure if you get breakfast but a great cafe ( Blooms ) on corner of street. Very reasonably priced. Including tip i was $30 for 3 breakfasts Being near Grand Central easy to get about only 1 stop to Times Sq ( the shuttle line ) If booking book pay at hotel then look for sales as you may be able to book again and cancel original. Hotels will have resort fee and about 5 extra taxes to be added to price. Some hotel booking sites add these onto total others just mention they are pay at hotel. Also they can take up to $100 per night as an incidental charge, i usually pay this is cash, gives you $ in your pocket for heading to port or in my case airport on way home.
  18. If heading home same day then Newark Airport is the best option as its near port and you can head to Jersey Gardens Mall to waste a few hours and the last of your $$$ Since your already booked thats not an option for you and as has been mentioned getting across NYC can be a nightmare! I would stay on ship as long as possible then head across city be it by Uber or wasting more time by taking subway into Manhatten then out to JFK. You can take a shuttle bus from Grand Central to JFK, think it was about $18 pp or there about.
  19. If you’re fully vaccinated The following requirements for entry to Greece apply regardless of your vaccination status, and apply to all travellers. Precise rules are subject to change and you should follow any instructions given on arrival at immigration or airport testing facilities. For more information, check the Greek authorities’ advice. Passengers arriving in Greece do not need to show a proof of COVID vaccination, a negative COVID test, or a certificate of recovery from COVID. You do not need to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF). Travellers are still required to wear a mask on public transport. Children and young people The measures to enter Greece apply to all travellers including children. If you’re transiting through Greece International passengers wishing to transit through airports in Greece are not required to carry negative COVID-19 tests or present a vaccination certificate. These measures are subject to change. You should check what is required for entry at your final destination with your travel operator and relevant authorities. Exemptions There are no exemptions to the entry requirements for Greece. Basically what the above says is that Greece has binned all regulations! Doesn't matter if your vaccinated or not everyone is the same...no testing

  21. Its says Europe is open to book for winter 2024 which to me would mean from Oct 2024 onwards so im a bit confused by the winter 2024 part! Does this actually refer to the months from say Oct 23 through to Jan/Feb 2024?
  22. My take on it would be all ships and they are just pointing out that the 4 listed are included.
