The your gonna die stuff. Completely out of line. This has been reported.
If you read the post plus the one it was in relation to you will see that poster was not being offensive just making a VERY POORLY worded comparison!
I get what poster is saying! that being that everyone knows things are going to happen in the future but just because its not happened today we dont have to keep on mentioning it.

The problem you will have is future cruises!
If you go on Explorer It's exciting for all of you as its all new and you have nothing to compare it agsinst.
If you like cruising and move up to an Oasis class then again its new and because its bigger your daughter who will be a year or 2 older will be just as excited.
However if you flip it then going from a bigger ship to a smaller may not be as exciting simply due to the fact theres not the same things to do onboard as you experienced previously

I suspect it'll be the first item of business for the new UK government in May 2024
Given the revolving door No 10 has had this past year we cannot be sure that this government will last that long! Lol
On a side note this Government has already implemented the Windfall tax, hitting energy companies who have made larger than normal profits the past year, even though they say it costs more for gas and oil due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

I’m going to guess you’ve not sailed a lot since the restart.
Sailed no! Travelled yes!
I agree! When changes are made to a booking of any kind companies have a responsibility to let those affected know.
As for the last part of your post in that people are not savvy enough, dont understand things or they think restrictions are lifted highlights the need for people to either search for information themselves or ask for help from others more capable before travelling abroad.

What's sad is the do not tell you the rules when you are booking. I have people on my transatlantic cruise who are sharing emails they recieved regarding this policy, I've received nothing. Royal strikes again!!
Not sure RC are 100% to blame!
Isn't it a person's responsibility to check these things as well?
If someone was booking flights to a country on the otherside of the world would they just book it and not bother check out information about the country they are visiting? Or would it be more sensible to search google and find out about that country? It's the same with a cruise! You don't book a cruise without first doing research into each port of call! Things to do! Transport! Vaccine requirements! Not just for Covid as countries all over the world have had certain Vaccine requirements in place for decades.
Only Last month Germany finally lifted the need to wear masks on long journeys! At the same time a number of countries reintroduced the need for covid tests if travelling from china.
Rules have not gone away! The level of requirements are lowered or lifted depending on whats happening at the time! RC and no other company have any say on this
What would happen if a country reintroduced the requirement for all to be vaccinated before entering 2 days before a TA docked? My guess would be a long que at guest customer services with people blaming RC for allowing none vaccinated to board while demanding a full refund and OBC

I had the same for my cruise 3rd of Aug 2024

Dollars are more valuable and stable right now. If I was working on a cruise ship, I would rather have Dollars as the Euro and Pound are losing strength. Especially if I was sending money back home to my family as so many do.
I agree! Thats why i said
Onboard yes to dollars

Also happily accepted anywhere in the world.
Onboard yes
Onshore No
The $$$ is not as popular in Europe as you may believe it is! In fact places will actually reject it same as they do with GBP and any other currency that is not The Euro or the actual currency of the country you are in.

You selfish jerk! To blame RCCI for YOUR & your friend's bad Behaviour is reprehensible! Shame on you! It is people like you - demanding things you are not entitled to AND GETTING THEM - that raise the prices of cruises. Stop whining and put on your big girl panties! If I were your "friend" or your parent, i would be absolutely MORTIFIED at your Behaviour, both with the argument and more importantly, with DEMANDING that Royal Caribbean REWARD you for your assinine and embarrassing behaviour. Get some help with your personality you narcissistic jerk. I feel sorry for the people at Guest Services/security, etc that had to deal with the likes of YOU! Talk about first world problems!
Think you're holding back a little on how you really feel

Although with your vague and selfish focus, it could also just be that you're more focused on poor you instead of the potential health and safety of another human being.
Reading the OG post it was all about how unfair it was that she wasn't in a balcony cabin! OG poster probably lied to staff about her ex friend being suicidal just to get her removed from cabin and she got back into it. OG poster says that even after discussing with security she then again asked for a balcony cabin! So the cabin was more important than her ex friends health.

After reading the one long paragraph I'm taking it that OG poster is looking for some kind of refund or Fcc due to the fact she had an argument with her ex best friend before even boarding and it ruined her cruise!
Unbelievable
At least she didn't say she was pinnacle

For something a bit more budget friendly, but same fantastic location, there is a hotel across the street from The Savoy called The Strand Palace. It has great reviews on TripAdvisor and many room options.
Including my one which highlights the fact i found a condom box under the bed lol ( i asked them to leave viagra next time due to my age lol )
Apart from that it is a great hotel, i would definitely stay there again.

Royal goes by the drinking age of the embarkation port. Sounds like a Disney deal.
Not quite true as in the UK a person can legally drink alcohol at 16 however there are rules attached to this!
if you're 16 or 17 and accompanied by an adult, you can drink (but not buy) beer, wine or cider with a meal. If you're 16 or under, you may be able to go to a pub (or premises primarily used to sell alcohol) if you're accompanied by an adult

Just use your discretion if you're going to do it. Part of the fun is the thrill of potentially getting caught...at least for me!

Can't comment on Spain or Italy but a lot of brits will take children out of school before the holidays start so they save some money ( prices during school breaks go up a lot for any type of holiday )

I didn't realise that when people replied to some posts saying " This is a fans site only " they meant Only Fans lol
Used to be posts all about transfers to ports, Wifi speeds etc now it's about voyeurism

A buffet at midnight? Isn't there enough food options during the rest of the day without the need to pile on even more pounds before bed?
I get that everything in the US is so much bigger than the rest of the world but that doesnt have to include the waistlines!

Cuba is the so called "forbidden fruit" Why do you want to go and support a communist country with your travel dollars? Why?
Same way millions of people visit Arab countries!
You cant judge everyone because of a few idiots! If we did no one would visit the US due to Trump lol

Yes
Keep in mind that you get rec-accommodated on the "next available flight", not necessarily the "next flight". Big difference. And if it's from the US to Europe, during high season, when flights are often full...well, "next available flight" is highly unlikely to be the "next flight".
Yeah i know that! I just kept my reply short as i didn't want to write a long story when simply saying " next flight would leave it tight " should be enough to ring alarm bells in OG posters head in relation to the fact they may not get or there may not be a next flight until a period of time after original which would result in missing cruise.

Pretty sure you actually commented on it...something like Wow or something like that, then under your reply someone said the post you had replied to had been reported! Fact is It wasnt offensive!
As i said it was just a poorly worded comparison that if you just read the the one post you wouldn't understand and would think it was offensive, you had to read a few posts back to get the proper meaning of post then it became clear
