So here I go...."telling" on myself. Sheesh...
I made the rookiest of rookie mistakes. I double-booked (overlap) cruises ! I still can't believe I made such a stupid, rookie mistake but I sure did !
I think you’re being a little hard on yourself. Look at the bright side, the only reason this happened is because you are fortunate to be able to cruise so often. Now if someone like me who only gets to cruise like once or twice a year did this, that would be a rookie mistake. In your case, I could easily see that happening trying to keep track of all your cruises. I would definitely need a detailed spreadsheet for that

I noticed on my August sailing on icon many of the PDCC prices have recently dropped.
-
I went in Feb and paid around that and thought it was worth it. Just as an fyi, if you like to go in the water at the beach it will be pretty cold in January, but you do have the heated pool option. And definitely watch for it to drop in price and rebook. I think mine started out at like $50/person and ended up getting for around $30/person.

An interesting observation that Hubby made last week on OA. He always thought that 2 flowriders would mean more stand up advance times. WN (July 2023) was when he really started to get into the flowrider. Since then we sailed OY, IC, and those only have one as well. He was pretty excited to go on OA with 2. Anyway, as it turns out, there is not much more advance riding time. He was rather disappointed. Most times, they ran one side boogie board, one side mixed wave. The lines were long on both sides. The only time they pretty much ran advance only was from 9-10:30am each day. So not a noticeable difference from ships with one wave. He actually said that his favourite wave so far is Icon, but we both realize that could have been due to reduced capacity on the inaugural
Yeah I noticed on Allure there wasn't really many advance only times, but when they did the mixed wave the boogie board people would be on 1 flow rider and standup on the other. they would not allow people to just do boogie on either flow rider. While you would get the chumps like me with the white bands trying to earn the blue band, that line would come and go. they would give people 2 chances(1 turn) and if they didn't get the blue band that couldn't try again until the employees switched out(so like once an hour). But the good news was it was open most of the day so gave plenty of ride time opportunity.

Yes. The play scape is on the other side where the second flowrider would be.
That’s a bummer. I love their being 2 especially on the Oasis class with all the people. It allows more time for the stand up only instead of having so much mixed wave.

Does Wonder only have 1 flow rider?

If you get an offer from the casino for a free junior suite room, do you still get double points for your loyalty status for that cruise

We have a 2-top next to one other 2-top & have been chatting with a friendly couple. Tonight the woman asked me if I did a live blog from Wonder in June, lol. She read it at that other site (I cross posted that one, I’m loyal you guys now). Thought that was pretty crazy. She thanked me… but no tip. Oh well.
That's pretty crazy!

My kids don’t deserve this but you can’t leave them at home, I guess.
I’ve had no problem leaving them at home . We take them on many, they are going on Icon in August, but sometimes it’s nice to get away with just the wife. We are actually lucky that we are both on our 2nd marriage but everyone gets along really well. If we vacation without the kids my wife’s ex takes his 2 kids as well as the youngest that my wife and I had together. And my 2 are now both over 18 so they are self sufficient and I don’t have to worry about them

What did you book for the Annual Prime Cruise?

I booked Wonder on Aug 11. Wanted to do the 4th but it was on the naughty list. I did upgrade to GTY neighborhood balcony for $146. Taking my youngest son as a special dad and son trip since I’ve previously booked up all my wife’s PTO
