  1. We will be taking our daughter on her first cruise in November. She will be 4 years old, and is fully potty trained, but occasionally has the rare accident, typically due to over-excitement or distraction (don't we all?). I know you have to be potty-trained to be in Aquanauts, but what do they do about accidents? Can you take extra clothes to leave there just in case? Does anyone have experience with this? We're not sure how it would work since it's not as if they could just call and tell you to bring new clothes.
  2. We have the Dreamworks Character Breakfast book for Oasis in November. It's still available in the cruise planner, so I wonder when they are going to announce the change.
  3. I just booked Enchantment for November with a casino rate in a Grand Suite. I don't get a great casino rate yet, but I did get something.
  4. A long time until the next one, but then they start rolling... 287 - Oasis 305 - Enchantment 421 - Mariner (Group Cruise) 532 - Anthem (Group Cruise) 710 - Freedom (Group Cruise)
  5. Maybe I'm alone, or I just got a good batch, but back in November on Majesty I didn't think it was terrible. Was it the best pizza I've had, no, not at all. But I would put it in the realm of pizzas made for school fundraisers here in the midwest. I think it's all about how you go into it. If you didn't know it was bad before you got on board, it would be really terrible. Since I'd already heard horror stories, it was more of "that wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be."
  6. I saw a sign on Majesty back in November at the Host desk. It was on the last day so I didn't pay a lot of attention, but it did give the impression of being able to place bets on football games.
  7. We did GoPortCanaveral and had a good experience. A couple of points of caution/advice: 1) Our flight landed late the night before. Because of that, we could not get a package with a hotel in Cocoa Beach, we had to stay in Orlando. The hotel was nice, but that lead to the issue in #2. 2) Your shuttle from the hotel in Orlando to PC will not pick up until after 11:30. With the 45-60 minute bus ride (I assumed more as it would go to multiple hotels) it would be later than we wanted to get to the Port. What we did however is had GPC schedule our pickup location as the airport instead. We took an uber from the hotel to the airport (since the hotel shuttle was full), and were on our way to PC around 9:30. Got to the port at 10:30 and checked in. One of the first people on the ship. So my suggestion on that experience would be to either make sure your flight gets in early enough to stay in the Cocoa Beach area that day before, or see about getting back to the airport for pickup. When we go on our next cruise, we are going to rent a car, but we will have our 4 year old with us, so we will like the addition of a car seat.
  8. lava flow. Gotta get going with the #boatdrinks as soon as possible.
  9. Excellent live blog @twangster. Thank you for sharing, and making me hope I can wait until the 2019 GC for Anthem myself... Hopefully your time passes quickly before you Indy cruise and you don't have too much of a "blue monday".
  10. We put deposits down on both group cruises. I told my wife if she can't make it with vacation days, one of them will just have to become a solo for me! My face still hurts, but that's still the plan. :)
  11. So, I realized I've never commented on this thread, and I feel like I should. My name is Lance. I'm lmillican1480 on Periscope and Twitter. I took my first cruise when I was a kid on the Big Red Boat. I hadn't been on one since when my wife and I went on Majesty of the Seas last month. It was her first cruise, and now we are both hooked. The cruise was free through my local casino, and I am glad it was with Royal as it lead me to this site as well as a great company. I live in St. Charles, MO with my wife Abby and 3 y/o daughter Virginia. Currently I'm working on becoming self-employed so that I can give myself more vacation time to take more cruises. The number we have booked for next year will exceed my current vacation time, so I've purposely backed myself into a corner. Plus, this community and RCI has helped me find my "why" in terms of what I want to do with my life. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and meeting some of you eventually on group cruises. I love all things food, as I did go to culinary school (don't cook professionally anymore though), trips to the casino, my fraternity, and my family (and in case my wife reads this, it's not necessarily in that order).
  12. We recently got the Amazon Basics hardsided spinner bags. Both 20" and 24", not to brag about size... They worked out great and nest inside of each other. How they'll work out long term is yet to be seen, but definitely a more cost effective route if they hold up for a few years. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Hardside-Spinner-Luggage-24-inch/dp/B071NPGSRM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512680178&sr=8-1&keywords=amazon+basics+suitcase They also have a hardshell version available if that's your "bag" baby. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Hardshell-Spinner-Cabin-Slate/dp/B0741KJTNV/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1512680178&sr=8-3&keywords=amazon+basics+suitcase
  13. Leave it to @twangster and his pictures. I was seriously thinking the same thing... Fall 2019 group cruise? I know better than to do that. Luckily at this point I can just tell my wife "hey, do you want to go on a cruise in (fill-in the date)?".
  14. We will be in 6240 next November, so treat her well.
