  1. Finally some answers that make sense. Overall it looks as a positive news for casino players interested in pre-purchasing casino chips. But it seems like there will be three categories of the chips??? Our apologies for the confusion. Please see the answers to your questions below. 1. if you play a promotional chip in and win, the dealer will take the promotional chip and issue standard chips for the full amount of your win. 2. The dealer has lower denomination promotional chips and can exchange them for you. 3. Tier status and cruise certificates are both determined based upon the number of points accumulated. Chips purchased through your Cruise Planner will qualify for these points. The promotional or "Bonus" chips that are issued on top of your original purchase will not be eligible for points.
  2. but are you getting double C&A points in this scenario ?
  3. @WAAAYTOOO @SpeedNoodles yes, I agree with your suspicions however email looks legit and signed with name and title of the CS agent. I guess Royal is flirting with AI ;) I've politely asked them to re-read my questions and to answer them again - we'll see
  4. This is so weird. Who the heck they employing for customer support. See my email exchange with Casino Royale support. I've asked three questions. I though that they were straightforward, is there a way to simplify them? Thank you for reaching out to Royal Caribbean’s Club Royale regarding your new casino credit offers available in the cruise planner. Q1: If I'm betting $ 100 promotional chip and win, do I: a) receive $ 100 in real chip and $ 100 promotional chip or b) $ 200 in real chips and promotional chip is taken by dealerA: You will be able to cash out any winnings with the cashier’s desk onboard. We cannot refund any promotional play not spent at the end of the cruise. Q2: Is dealer able to change higher denomination promotional chips at the table? Meaning: if I have $ 100 promotional chip and want t change to 4 x 25$ chips, can I do it at the table or do I have to go to cashier ? A: Our chips will be available in different amounts so you can change your bets as you need. Q3: Is time spent while playing with promotional chips qualified as play time that counts towards achieving tier level or certificate for future cruises ?A: Your play will be tracked based on the original amount of promotional chips purchased. You will not earn points from any ‘bonus chips’.
  5. Try to quickly book 14 days Alaskan cruise. Maybe price will remain ?
  6. @WhiteSoxFan This math doesn't make any sense. How come total is the same when average cost per person (and discounts) are different ?
  7. yeah - that's what my TA just confirmed
  8. I did a booking with my TA and didn't get any C&A discount. I've asked her about it and still waiting for an answer
  9. We've been on CocoCay two weeks ago - I have serious doubts about January deadline...
  10. You can add refundable as an option at the end of booking process. It cost me a total of ~ 100 US for balcony on Anthem (Nov '19)
  11. IMHO Junior suite without perks of doubling C&A points it not worth even $500 extra. I would rather take that cash and put it as a deposit towards next cruise, but it's just me...
  12. Nope and that's a deal breaker for me Accepted offers will earn Crown & Anchor points at the original stateroom category purchased, and not the category of the upgraded stateroom. The terms and conditions of your original cruise booking will remain in effect following the acceptance
  13. Instead of paying 1000 CAD for flight to Miami we've decided to pay a bit more for cruise on Anthem and drive to Port Liberty. Any suggestion on parking near the port ? Cruise port parking is $20/day but quick google search shows few cheaper options near Bayonee. Does anyone has any experience with off port parking and their shuttle services ?
  14. or just let her go on the zipline towards the end of the cruise. Additional pounds are always sticking to me by day 5 ?
  15. Unless they are 80 years old shamans from previously uncontacted Amazonian tribes they should be fine. Anyone with basic knowledge of English or Spanish can check in on their own and follow the passengers flow ?
  16. Glass of wine for lunch, two glasses at dinner plus bottle of water would made you big winner ?
  17. Am I missing something ? Does it mean that transatlantic or group cruises gives you more points ?
  18. Interesting approach by RCI On our last cruise we spent enough time in the casino to get $600 certificate. Of course we booked another cruise. For simplicity let's say value of $ 1000 so we've paid $400 and our countdown started ? Fast forward two months before cruise, I've noticed that difference between our booked balcony and JS is $ 100 pp. Our cabin is still at $ 1000. Quick call to casino customers line with CC in hand to generously contribute an additional $200 (and double our C&A nights ;). To my surprise I was told that upgrade would cost $800 as I paid only $400. Casino certificate is not considered as a payment and cannot be taken in consideration for an upgrade! As you might imagine, my CC was pushed back into my wallet with the help of my extended finger. Summary (loose, loose, loose because of this dumb policy? RCI shareholders lost an extra revenue Crew lost extra gratuities We have to wait a bit longer for our "diamonds"
  19. @alamode123 If you planning to consume four drinks plus some wine, maybe some specialty coffee, OJ or bottled water (per day) even at that price you are ahead of the game ? It all depends on your capacity and liver status ?
  20. you have plenty of time Make sure to check prices during Black Friday sale
  21. Personally I prefer them (below) as they are more multi purpose. unlike very narrow RCL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017BVFA00/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?pd_rd_i=B017BVFA00&pd_rd_wg=Bs8MA&pd_rd_r=HXKTG0RBC4B32CCZ9T06&pd_rd_w=U38HS&th=1
  22. I don't think immediate acquiring of the points is the issue . As far as I can see @twangster wants have his cake and eat it too . If @WAAAYTOOO is right, twangster's strategy (to have one more cruise, still get his block from Symphony and grab his missing points afterwords ) should work Edit: I should add that I'm basing my opinion solely on my experience as IT consultant at one of the loyalty programs management company. Basically, that's how those programs work. Once points are awarded they need manual intervention (request) to adjust them.
