  1. Here is the answer so thanks twangster. I am a DeSantis supporter but he is beating his chest here to make waves. He knows and the bill states, as shown above, that the state cannot stop a federal agency from enacting a protocol for "public health reasons". But if the cruise lines try to do it then state may say hold on just a minute not according to our law. He is afraid that this could lead to more restrictions or loss of freedoms down the road.
  2. Here is the important part of the bill that we may be overlooking The Bill text: (Florida SB 2006) 381.00316 COVID-19 vaccine documentation.— (1) A business entity, as defined in s. 768.38 to include any business operating in this state, may not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state. This subsection does not otherwise restrict businesses from instituting screening protocols consistent with authoritative or controlling government-issued guidance to protect public health. Notice the last line. The bill will not shut down cruises because of controlling-government guidance. Not a lawyer and I did not sleep in a Holiday Inn last night.
  3. Lots of Honor 1700 Sea Ray Dr. Merritt Island, Florida.
  4. Here is the CDC's Interim Public Health Recommendation from April 27, 2021. This was copied from their report. Guiding principles for fully vaccinated people are now provided. Underscores that immunocompromised people need to consult their healthcare provider about these recommendations, even if fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask outdoors, except in certain crowded settings and venues. Clarification that fully vaccinated workers no longer need to be restricted from work following an exposure as long as they are asymptomatic. Fully vaccinated residents of non-healthcare congregate settings no longer need to quarantine following a known exposure. Fully vaccinated asymptomatic people without an exposure may be exempted from routine screening testing, if feasible
  5. Parking just at the base of the bridge on the left going to the port. Run by veterans and have come highly recommended to me.
  6. Doesn't seem like enough time for vaccinations. Could be just picking up provisions, practicing coming and going, changing personnel or any other thing at this point.
  7. We are going to be there with you. May be some restrictions but still will be happy to be at sea once again.
  8. Those bills will probably go nowhere. If one looks closely the signers of each bill they are from only one party. Being a Floridian I am wondering why the entire contingent of house members didn't sign on.
  9. There is a video on you tube showing the drive into the Terminal A parking area. Sorry but I didn't save the thing so don't know the address.
  10. We have stayed there but just for one night. For four nights you may make sure to have a game plan for everyday. The hotel only has a pool and no other outlets for your time.
  11. I know what I am about to impart may be met with happiness or derision but here is the latest. Our agent spoke with her rep at RCCL this week and this what she was told. "Everything is looking good with Europe slowly opening up. She further stated that RC is going ahead with their plans for Nov 1 so PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE!!" So we went ahead and paid off our Nov 28th cruise. Again this is info directly from RC.
  12. I agree but airlines are American company's and cruise lines are not. I believe this plays into the government's decision.
  13. Plus when your Diamond you may also get drinks in the diamond lounge that do not count to the three drinks loaded on your sea pass. We go to the lounge and have a few then go to eat and use one or maybe 2 free drinks then use the others after supper.
  14. We stayed at he Holiday Inn across from the port and Bayside Market. Pricey but very convenient if you are driving.
  15. know the wifi was complementary on the 2 night shake down cruise but I have 2 questions. Is the wifi complementary in the Central Park Library all the time? And since they sell ice cream at sugar beach and you mentioned where the old pool side ice cream used to be, I wonder if they still have complementary ice cream?
  16. Drinks package, excursions and things like that but we did get a great deal on a Jr. Suite a couple years ago.
  17. Not that I have seen but they do offer a 10 drink special around day 3 or 4. And you can share.
  18. Do you have Thanksgiving in November? Or is this a American sale?
  19. NICE!!!! Actually the SOTS was not our first but our second. We sailed on the SSNorway which sailed on Saturday's with the SOTS. When we saw the gleaming white "huge" ship we decided we would make this ship our second cruise and the rest is history. Love the Tshirt.
  20. Sovereign of the Seas, this ship began our love of RC cruises in 1990. I have a print of the ship hanging in my study. We must do Majesty before she is retired.
  21. After all our research on parking in Miami we decided to just park at the terminal. It cost more but with everything we heard about the problems of the off site lots we just didn't see the need to risk those issues. Miami seems to be different than other port cities in Florida as far as safety is concerned.
  22. If I find a bar tender that we like I will tip them, particularly if we they wait on us the entire cruise. If I stop at a bar a pick up a drink and will probably not go back to that bar then no.
  23. Yo dude we will be on the Dec 15th cruise. We will look you up. Will you still be in the casino?
