Hoping Symphony of the Seas will offer a better managed Sailaway Party. The poster of the video was unimpressed, as was I.
Remember that the running of events like this come down to the Cruise Director & Activities Manager. Even if you say that they don't matter, they really do if you plan to go near any activities.

Here is a video of the fantastic dessert from our experience at Chef's Table on Brilliance of the Seas.  It was a chocolate sphere with vanilla ice cream inside, there were toffee like crunchies surrounding it on the plate and then they poured hot caramel sauce over the top!

If you travel and book a regular cabin(not a studio cabin) you get double points when you travel solo as well.

You start getting benefits right away. the points do not expire(not as of now anyways) and to be honest, the real perks IMHO are once you hit emerald level and then diamond and higher...

And YES i would and have done, Unless you have been through a tragic event yourself you will never know how sometimes laughter is the ONLY thing that makes a differnce, as it takes your mind off whatever is ripping you apart inside which in turn STOPS you from doing something stupid.

I don't think this has much to do with Royal Caribbean's operations. The largest single day stock market dip in history happened in February. The January 29th date you mentioned was about a week before the dip so it's not the best point of reference. I can confirm because my 401k has taken a beating so far this year. I'm also no expert when it comes to the stock market, so this should not be construed as investment advice. haha

Also, as @twangster referenced it appears that the industry as a whole is not doing well in terms of stock value. This article cites rising fuel prices, travel demand, and flat prices as concerns.

In my experience with an instant migration to an erp system at work rather than a phased one, I would opt for a phased one with parallel systems for a while. I’m willing to deal with the frustrations of the website while they get it right. Expecting it to be instant isn’t reasonable.

I'm willing to accept that premise, my problem is that they made the decision not to go in a staged approach that gradually replaces old features / functions with new ones. Maybe this is directly because of the legacy database they were using, and doing a piecemeal migration would have been impossible under any circumstances. But then trust that your customers will respect you if you tell them up front, something like this:
"Changes are coming, and in the beginning some of them may be painful. We have a legacy system that is ancient and incapable of handling what we need with our future plans, and replacing it is not going to be easy. We're going to try our best to keep problems and issues to a minimum, but nothing this complex ever goes exactly as planned; so know that when a problem does come up, we will break our backs to fix it as fast as possible and keep the transition moving forward as quickly as possible. The end result will be a much better system that everyone will appreciate, but until we're there we ask for your patience."
Something as simple as that, posted on their Facebook page and sent in a mass email a month or two ahead of all of this starting, with follow-ups giving general progress reports and estimates on how much longer this crap would be taking, would probably have gone a long way to alleviating much of the anger and frustration all of us here, and everyone around the world, have been feeling for the last several months now. This is as much a PR CF as it is an IT one.

    A) This is nuts that there is so big a discrepancy in points rewarded given the difference in play time and I assume average bet (although I'll grant you can burn through money at the slots about 20-50x faster than at your typical craps table).
    B) It's a serious testament to how freaking tight the slots are.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd just as soon dump my money overboard after the casino host counts the bills, or set fire to it in a rubbish bin, as play those slot machines.
But I don't care about making that second tier, either, so I'll just play my $5 pass line with $5 odds, have my time in the casino last a hell of a lot longer, and also have some fun being social with everyone at the table.

As long as there are enough people willing to sign the NDA, Royal will continue staffing under those terms. It's a risk potential employees should take into consideration when considering an offer.
The article is so short, the tons of details that surround these cases are omitted, and we are left with hilites...Since Voyager is registered in the Bahamas, and the incident happened while in port in Barcelona, and Royal is based in Miami, I wonder how long jurisdiction was deliberated and if things like this typically go to company headquarters' location for adjudication.
I shuddered when I thought of getting fingers trapped in that door handle, and I hope this case drastically affects the design of water tight doors in future builds. Another thing that crossed my mind is having non-maritime crew attend to the doors during drills against how there's no sure way to guard against freak incidents like this. I'd love to know how this is affecting the company's policies in this area.

I'm not at all a fan of forced arbitration. From the handful of leaked or very-after-the-fact reports I've seen on these things (because remember, it's also under a non-disclosure agreement where neither party is allowed to speak publicly about what happened or what was agreed to), it always works out in the favor of the corporation / employer / defendant, and leaves the plaintiff barely any better off than if they'd done nothing. And because it's never in the public eye / under NDA, it doesn't put the same level of scrutiny on the corporation / employer / defendant; and it's that level of scrutiny, public outcry, analysis by the press, etc. that actually ends up forcing the corporation / employer / defendant to actually make any meaningful changes that would prevent the same thing from happening again and lead to improved safety / working conditions.

I first read of this in a blog post of a lawyer who has displayed a trend in his coverage of such events.  It's one side of the story, written by a lawyer.  There are often two sides to a story but in this case the judicial process found with the victim.  Without being in the courtroom to hear the arguments I can't form my own opinion but I'm always careful to adopt the position of the media simply because the media said so.
Personally I thought the $21M awarded to a man who walked into a sliding door on a cruise ship a few years ago was excessive.  Granted he was injured in the event but it seems like certain lawyers gravitate to these types of cases where a jury can develop an emotional connection to a victim versus the big faceless corporation.   Only in America.
Not saying that happened in this occasion because I don't know - I wasn't in the courtroom.  I simply don't know the facts of this case beyond what has been written by the media.  Fortunately they never get anything wrong or sensationalize so I guess we just accept what they say.
