  1. My wife and I have cruised both, we started off with Carnival and IMHO moved up to Royal. We have been on Vista on her maiden voyage from Europe to New York and really enjoyed it, however we then had the chance to go on Royal (Indy) and thought it was better than Carnival. We have stayed with Royal as we feel it is better value however would still go on Carnival if it fit into our holiday period or locations to visit. You will make your own mind up as everyone has their own likes and dislikes, go with an open mind and enjoy your trip.
  2. My wife and I have just booked the return trip in November for the Transatlantic back to NY and cannot wait to be aboard Anthem. We have done two other TA crossings (Indy and Carnival Vista Maiden trip), a transatlantic crossing is brilliant and worth every penny.
  3. We are on Anthem in November 2020 transatlantic with our parents and it would be good to be able to message them with the App. Hope they do have it by the time we go on it.
  4. We board Indy in 9 days so can't wait, thanks for the info.
  5. This will be our 2nd TA (first with RC) and your right if you don't mind being at sea for 6/8 days before reaching a bit of land then you will be fine. Last year we went from Barcelona, Gibraltar, Bermuda and onto New York, the weather got better as we went south and was still nice once we got to New York. The trip was amazing and well worth it, we loved it so much we have booked on the Indy from Southampton at the end of October and are looking forward to a great time away.
  6. The first part of your comments I agree with and do the same on my cruises with my wife, we enjoy the feeling of paying and not having a bill at the end or worrying about how much we are spending throughout the trip. However your comments about you could just be a load of English drunks confuses me? Is this a dig at the English? As I would not generalise to class all people from one place as this or that! Have met a lot of people from all over the world and it would not be right to say they are this or that ! :)
  7. We are travelling on the Indy on October 29th from Southampton and have been told there are no self service laundry however do they supply an iron on request or have and area to iron clothes? We have a travel iron, would we be able to take this with us? Thanks in advance.
  8. My wife, my parents and myself will be travelling on the Independence of the Seas 29th Oct for a 15 night transatlantic cruise and our first cruise with RC, we are looking forward to it. Being Brits we will be flying back to the UK later in the day after we get into Port in the US, can anyone advise us about a transfer to Miami airport. Thanks in advance
