This is really just an excuse , after all if the food waste was the issue they would do something about the buffet were the real waste happens. It will be a shame if other cruise will adopt it , until now I saw people ordering another portion mainly if they got something they did not liked or wanted extra from something (for example two lobster tails).

Always check your cruise compass and mark acclivities you will like to do. bring swimsuit in your carry on bag so you can use the pool/flow rider on the first day were its not really busy. Consider staying on the ship on one of the ports days so you can enjoy it when its empty. Remember that for each cabin you allow to bring two bottles of wine. Check the Main dining room seating after you board the ship , if you do not like it , most of the time you can change it.

As you can see even three days are very tight. take into consideration its very hot there in June and many palace do not have air conditions (even not in the public transportation). Civitavchia is around 1.5 hour drive from Rome , nothing to do there so its better to book a transportation from Rome to the port at early morning. Santorini - The must do place is to go to Oia village , this is the one with the famous blue roofs and wonderful place for selfies ? , its around 45 minutes drive from the port , tours from the ship starts at 43 Dollars. Mykonos - Here its very simple , the tender boat will bring you to the village , everything is waking distance from the port , you can also go to one of the nice beaches around. if you just stay a the village you do not need any tour . Athens - you will dock at Piraeus which is around 30 minutes from Athens - the must do here is the Acropolis , You can do it by yourself (you can take a ride from the port) but expect long lines to buy the tickets and go up the mountain , also you need to consider its a moderate walk up the temple.Here the ship offers tours that start around 75 $. There many other places to see near by . Another tip about Athens that its the best place to buy souvenirs and other stuff (Greek Olives and olive oil in the supermarket , cloth , etc) comparing to Athens or the other Island you will visit are more expensive. Olympia - You can go and see the Olympia old city , was no there so I can not add any recommendations. Regarding tours from the ship , you should visit the cruise planner site for your cruise every week or so , from time to time RCL will offer discounts on tour that can go up to 25% less .You can always book , and if you find it cheaper you can cancel and re book without extra fee (up to three days before the cruise). Also take some time to rest , do not try to do it all , otherwise it can become a very stressful cruise with all the ports ? Enjoy , its a very nice cruise.

Good news , love Oasis class ships and all the options they offer. I wish side by side to more and more big ships they will also invest to had more ports Oasis class ship can use in the Caribbean but also in Europe (French riviera for example , UK ports , etc) or even to design a better tendering system that will allow Oasis new ships to use this option ...

I saw many people (here and other boards) do not like the shaming that is being done for the peer runner , I just want to remind people that for the few peer runner you have thousands on the ship that : Gave up the excursions they wanted as it was schedule to end only 30-45 minutes before all on board and did not want to take the chance. Took the more expensive excursion just to be on the safe side Had to argue with their family that wanted to stay another 30 minutes in the bar/the museum/ the beach/shop/another round in the flight simulator etc ... Will miss time on the next port since the ship had to wait for peer runner. Will wait extra time for the ship shops/Casino to be opened. And many other things . Publishing such video/stories might help to avoid such cases in the future , people will understand that ships will leave without them. The people in this movies are just a symbol , it might be they good excuses but it dose not matter , its not about them its about the general phenomenon . If the cruise ship could leave the port 15 minutes after all aboard and not 45 - 60 minutes as today they might add this extra 30 - 45 minutes to the port time ...

Yes it is , therefore they might change the name to diamond + club or to something else ?

Well , I think that everyone agree that RCL need to do something , there are three options , first is to remove the DL access from diamonds or to restrict the free drinks in the lounge , (you can see they improving the 3 free drink at any bar menu which indicates on this direction ) the second option is to make it harder to get to diamond/diamond plus /adding new level . The third option which is the most problematic will be moving to the airline/hotel loyalty programs system which you need to maintain your status every year (the worse option). The first option will create allot of noise and many unhappy customers but the noise will reduce after a while and it might just motivate people to get to the next level. The second t option might be the best for whoever is already diamond but it will just delay the issue not solve it , maybe limit the drinks in the lounge will solve some of the issues. I for example wish the DL will stay open for diamonds , for me its not the evening booze but the coffee machine during the day ? . the third option I do not see how RC will be the first cruise line to go to this direction. And maybe they will change nothing, who knows

First of all for sure you are not the only one. I think like everything in live people have different preference, for some the points quest is very important , for some two rooms with two bathrooms are more important , for some the big bathroom is important and some can vow the Coastal Kitchen is the best thing about suite ? . Its all about priority at the end , one can decide to cruise once a year or once in two/three years but to be in a suite some will prefer to cruise 5 cruises per year in regular cabin. We cruised in almost all the cabins , ocean view , inside with virtual cabin (for 10 day cruise) , balcony , boardwalk balcony and yes JS also (I must admit mainly to secure the diamond level as I think soon they will increase the number of points to reach this level , but just my speculations). We got very good deal (difference was quite low between balcony and JS). can we go back , yes , I already booked one cruise in ocean view. We liked the fact the room was bigger , loved the walking closet which allowed us to keep the room very organized , did not care much for the bathtub , I really prefer the small phone boot shower as no water can escape t the bathroom floor so my spouse an complain ?.

What usually I do is to save the PDF from the site and then I can print it whenever I want , as you just experience RCL site is not something very stable ... As someone already said here , you can also try to download you cruise documents which includes the tags there.

I think you did the right thing , Voyager class (which Adventure OTS is part of) is a very nice ship to start with. she has enough quick free food options (although she dose not have the Sorento Pizza they will offer Pizzas in the promenade cafe). Enjoy the cruise.

I guess currently it mainly related to the Spectrum Of the seas . In Spectrum they published the golden and Silver cabin types , the interesting thing (and that is why I used cabin and suites type) in the golden you can see even rooms that are only balcony (golden balcony) or golden suites. Which mean you can choose to have the perks of suites while not require to be in a suites , (or maybe just be in JS) ( F.Y.I @Lovetocruise2002 ? ) Its seems that beside the Golden dining room for the golden cabins they are also adding Silver dining room (and lounge) for the Silver cabin type (JS mainly), this one is still speculation as RC did not discussed it yet (And I can not see it in my cruise planner). As I committed to check such things, I booked an October cruise on Spectrum OTS so I can report back ?). Here you can see deck 16 that contains the golden cabins/ dining room and deck 14 which show the silver dining room and lounge

Hi , Sorry for later answer , our cruise did not brought us to Hanoi so I can not answer on it. the dock port for Ho Chi Minh is around 1 hour from the city if it helps. Make sure you have the name of the port also printed in the local language just in case , also you can install the Grab application which is the most common taxi ordering application in this rejoin

Maybe they roll your passport very tight, entering into a bottle and hope it will reach you after some time ? I guess , they have some kind of procedures before pooling off , checking which customers did not board , fetch there passports and leave it with RCL agents in ports or with the port authorities. what is strange to me is that RC allowed to go to you safe without a permission , so maybe the procedure is only for people that are calling before to say they are not going to make it .

I am not from the US and I am using my driving license as identification in ports that require it. All they ask is some kind of government issue id , they are not saying which government ? Anyway , if they accepting my driving license I am sure they will accept your UK DL as long as it has picture on it.

Could be , although when I was on Hong Kong cruise to Singapore I paid normal fee , many things are different in China based cruise (they are charging for activities which are usually not charges in other cruises)

I wonder , RCL can automatic open your safe if you are missing the ship ? Anyway , on most ports I also leave my passport on board but I take a copy and also I take a picture of the section in the CC were it list the phone number of RCL representative on each port.

The Voom price I guess is also driving by the capacity and the demand , for example , on my cruise from Japan to China they are selling Voom currently at 18$ for one device !

Well, its a ship well maintained, if you are not expecting a flow rider /zip line , Broadway show etc , you are on the right ship Pros : Excellent service, nice solarium , lots of public spaces , wonderful chef table (it has separated room), well maintained, not too crowded Cons : mediocre food options during late night, suitcase can not be pushed under the bad, missing some of the attractions and promenade. I was on the Rhapsody last year and return to it this year , I like the port option which the Rhapsody goes to

First of all , Vietnam is a very nice country to tour , second , which ship you are going to cruise ? We took this cruise in the past with Voyager , all the ports were docked ports and it was very fast to disembark from the ship. Two of the ports were quite far from the destinations and in one of the ports the taxis were not allowed into the port.

I Guess if this is/will become a common approach RC will soon solve it by forcing Soda packages for everyone under 21 if all the other in the cabin have the Ultimate drinking package, just like they started a year ago to demand that if one person in a cabin is buying the ultimate drinking package all the rest above 21 must buy it.

Thanks, The reserve seat waver should be change to show r reservation waver , which mean , the key people still need to reserve the show while start class can get to any show without pre reservation.

Usually while tendering RCL open more than one location to board the boats , they just need to better organize it with separate place for the key/suites. I found it to be a bigger issue while the ship arrives to the port late or for short period and everyone tries to gout at the same time.

Things that works for me : 1. Sleep well before the flight , do not try to be tired to better sleep in the flight , it will not change 2. Do not consume Alcohol During the flight. 3. When landing , try to walk as much as you can under the Sun , the Sun light trick the body to reset its clock. 4. Go to sleep around 10 PM at local time. 5. I take from time to time melatonin 0.3 mg , but this is something you should discuss with your doctor first (although its dose not require prescription)
