  1. To provide closure on my earlier post. The Masters Coastal Kitchen/Suite Lounge benefit is handle similarly to the Junior Suite access.....both occupants of the room are covered, on a "as available" basis
  2. Rental normally comes with two shirts to support 2nd formal night...and a cumberband//vest option to switch up the look.
  3. Another pointer i took away from my conversation, if you ever call and press “1 to service an existing reservation, you’re most likely to get connected to an overseas call center. New reservations, “2” selection, most likely to get the the Oregon call center
  4. So, i did get a call back from them this am. One interesting statement, again for 2019 club royale status, they claim to again use an 18 month lookback. Not sure if it’s true, but i do know that wasn’t advertised. Good luck.
  5. Out of curiosity, has anyone ever made an inquiry to the [email protected] email address? I made an inquiry last week and immediately received a computer generated response. Now it has been 9 days and nothing. In what industry can that be an acceptable norm? They are either incredibly understaffed, or have no understanding of the term customer service. Sadly, i think probably both.
  6. Concur...but i thought the casino was operated as a 3rd party contractor. it would be an interesting case if the principal made a policy change that put more many in their pocket (royal up) while simultaneously putting less money in their vendors (impacted casino play)
  7. That’s my concern, a junior suite does not allow unlimited access to coastal kitchen, but a Masters benefit does.. but who would eat without their significant other?
  8. I must respectfully disagree, on 2 points. 1) my post was on the benefits of the Masters level and not paying for a suite benefit that o get with a masters benefit anyway 2) lots of discussion on other threads on the dilution of the casino upgrade perk since the new casino year started. Historically, many of us have received 48-60% off. This cruise non discounted delta between a GS and a JS was $2400, i received a $298 discount on that upgrade(12.5%). Many others are experiencing less discounts on upgrades as well
  9. Loyal to the oasis class, however i have never been in Harmony. Just jumped back to Allure this upcoming August from a reservation on Harmony. Surprised Harmony is scoring so high with no pool in the Solarium, champagne bar replaced by a gimmicky bionic bar the Diamond Lounge being pushed down below decks with no exterior view (although the room does look nice). Is it the newness?
  10. These convenient phone pockets attach to the back of your cell phone case and can hold a sea pass card, an ID and some cash if needed.
  11. Booked on this casino promo cruise in August. I have done the BBQ beach bash, the Easter egg hunt and super bowl cruises before. Anybody have any feedback from the 2 previous Payouts on Tap cruises?
  12. I cruised 4 times last year (three 7 day cruises). I am a craps player and I have no problem playing with their money so it is not uncommon for me to have the Place bets maxed out across the board after sequentially pressing the bets). In the casino every night after a 7:30 dinner for about 3-4 hours. I had a pretty good year. However, I still play some slots because it is the easiest way to build points fast. I don't play slots to win (and that is a good thing a cruise ship) but I do enjoy sitting with my wife/sons and earning some points for the tier status. I had decided my strategy for thisyear was to play slots on my wifes card so to both earn Prime. However she got to Prime on her own. But if they don't let me "use" my Masters benefits with her...it winds up being a hollow benefit.
  13. New strategy being discussed as we speak. I agree $2k could be better spent elsewhere, however DW loves the Suite lounge/Coastal Kitchen. I pick my battles wisely....
  14. I fear you are probably right. I sent off an email to Club Royale so I will report back when I get a response. My scenario is, I am currently on Allure in August in a Grand Suite, upgraded from a Junior Suite Comp. With the new diluted Upgraded benefit, that upgrade cost me $2k to move up 1 class. Historically, that would have been a $1k upgrade. WE only upgrade to Grand Suite to get Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen access. The room isn't that important to us (both have great closets/both have tubs). So if I am already getting Suite lounge/Coastal kitchen with my Masters status, I would much prefer to downgrade back to my JS and put the $2k back in my pocket. Since I doubt there are very few dual Masters couples, if they do not allow the spouse/roommate to take part in the Suite lounge/Coastal Kitchen access it is essentially a hollow perk.
  15. A quick question, as i just earned Mastrs as well to go along with my Diamond Plus. Does the Masters Suite lounge/ Coastal Kitchen access apply to both occupants of the cabin or just the Masters player?
  16. The rumor is they have reduced the discounts on upgrades above junior suite cabins. Over the weekend, before new levels were announced, i had to pay $2k for a grand suite upgrade from a comp junior suite.
  17. That was the surprise....it said Grand Suite....with a code of 19TIer1...and that was unexpected.
  18. Asking for some help. I got a nice surprise I think..looked on clubroyaleoffers.com and my annual cruise benefit code was 19TIER1. Does anyone know if that is Prime, SIgnature or Masters? Spent 25 minutes on hold this AM with club royale and never got to speak with anyone.
  19. You can book a cruise.pay the deposit.Later, when the offer comes available , you can apply it to that cruise.
  20. Actually worse than i thought. Logged into generic website and applied for all available discounts (attachment). Casino essentially providing zero discount to the upgrade charge since there are other discounts that provide the exact same savings. (flash sale, military non refundable, BOGO50)
  21. I am sure you will hear from others that MEI travel, who hosts this board, are quite adept at dealing with club royale. Most travel agents are not. Personally, i have never used ten but u may start to...because it’s getting more and more frustrating
  22. Agree, even more so because i don’t think the agents we get to talk to actually know the pricing protocol. They’re just putting info into a computer, and telling us what comes out, making questions impossible.
  23. They won’t share the rules. I try to reverse engineer their formula from the invoice so i can estimate a price before i call. Was considerably off tonight so i knew something had to have changed.
  24. Thank you for the response. I came up with 15% which is a far cry from the 50-60% discounts in previous years. Still a great deal, just not as great.
  25. Sorry to revisit an old topic but I fear club royale has changed their rules again, perhaps at the start of the new Casino year (April 1st). Like many others, I take comp cabins and upgrade to a better room. I had booked a Grand Suite on Harmony (Sep sailing) from a comp interior room at an upgrade charge of $1926. Today I made a booking on Alure in August ( 3 weeks earlier) upgrading to a Grand Suite from a comp junior suite. The charge was $1992. Acknowledging that September is normally a discount month for cruising with schools going back in session and peak hurricane season. However Harmony prices are normally higher than her older sister ships. The no discount GS on harmony was $7998. The no discount GS on Allure is 7424. Since the comp value of the Harmony Interior room is only 60% of the Allure Js comp, the only explanation for the Allure upgrade costing more is that they are no longer providing an attractive casino reduction (used to be approximately 60% reduction) to the upgrade charge. Anyone else have a similar experience recently?
