  1. Can't believe today is Day Twelve already, with your final port of call (Port Canaveral) tomorrow :( Loved hearing about your time in Boston (great memories of my 2012 vacation!) and photos of last night's sunset, simply gorgeous!
  2. Following, looking forward to reading your live blog ? Bermuda is definitely on my cruise bucket list, will book either this itinerary or Southern Caribbean for December 2020! Glad to hear that your migraine improved, @ellcee ?
  3. Loving your live blog and photos, @twangster! Sorry to hear that your port of call, Sydney, was skipped, here's hoping for better weather in the days ahead. FYI, Anne of Green Gables is MASSIVELY popular in Japan, just in case you were wondering why your menu was in Japanese LOL.
  4. First off, I am a big fan of Disney as is my family of six. We have sailed DCL twice (Wonder '15, Magic '17) and have a seven night Western Mediterranean cruise booked on the Magic for next June. Honestly, this will probably be our last DCL cruise for a while because the cost was even more exorbitant than usual for two staterooms (oceanview verandah, interior staterooms on Deck Five). If we decide to return to Europe for a Greece/Eastern Europe itinerary, I'm going to try to convince them to try Royal Caribbean ? As a solo adult cruiser, I do miss the amenities offered by Royal Caribbean (e.g. rock climbing, zip line, laser tag), water- and ice-based entertainment, speciality restaurants, adult programming, superior Internet, and studio staterooms. And, having more ships in their fleet, Royal can offer more itineraries world-wide! Although DCL is a premium cruise line, I still honestly think that the cruise-inclusive food and customer service are about the same. DCL's only advantage is that their website is very user-friendly; the less I have to say about royalcaribbean.com the better LOL.
  5. It is a wine bar onboard selected ships in Celebrity's fleet, and, on some of these ships, an enomatic-wine dispensing system is offered to facilitate tastings in 1-, 2.5-, and 5-ounce glasses. Looks as if Cellar Masters was omitted from Celebrity Edge.
  6. Welcome Jennifer, I work in a suburb just north of Toronto and live in a suburb west of the city. (Gotta love that three hour daily commute on the 401..NOT!) I hope you and your family have a great time on Harmony, I'm scheduled to sail on her for the first time next December out of Port Canaveral ?
  7. Here is the room service menu. Just to clarify, continental breakfast is still complimentary, all other items on the menu will incur a $7.95 charge per stateroom. As per @Matt's blog post, room service is complimentary for guests staying in a Grand Suite and above.
  8. That’s awesome news, Monterey is a terrific port of call. Enjoyed visiting that city on my bus tour in 2015 during my trip to San Francisco, aquarium is amazing ?
  9. Slightly disappointed that this ship departs out of Port Everglades ONE day after my Adventure cruise departs in December because it would have been nice to have checked it out in person. Found a really good summary video of the Edge from EatSleepCruise.com ?
  10. I was invited to a Celebrity Edge sales event by my TA back in June and we got a sneak preview by the Celebrity reps who were in attendance. (My TA thought that I would be interested in sailing with them one day.) Honestly, I thought the ship was a little too modern for my liking and I think the Infinite Balcony kind of freaked me out LOL. With that being said, when I have more disposable income, I may change my tune on this ship or any of the ships in their fleet as a number are very well-reviewed.
  11. @Matt has written about the Hallowe'en festivities in previous blog posts, you can find them all here. ? Have a great cruise, I love this holiday too!
  12. I think @Nancymc may have been either referring to Serenade of the Seas (12 night Southern Caribbean cruise scheduled on October 28th from Boston) or Symphony of the Seas (12 night Transatlantic cruise from Barcelona on October 28th). (Sorry, I got nosy and googled LOL.)
  13. Was curious and looked up your itinerary: 16.9.2018 Port Canaveral, Florida 06:00-16:30 17.9.2018 Nassau 08:00-15:00 18.9.2018 Cruising n/a 19.9.2018 St Thomas, US Virgin Islands 10:30-19:00 20.9.2018 Philipsburg 08:00-17:00 21.9.2018 Cruising n/a 22.9.2018 Cruising n/a 23.9.2018 Port Canaveral, Florida 06:00-16:30 Seems like the perfect blend of port and sea days, I hope you and your SO have a fantastic time in St. Thomas today! (Btw, have you dined at Johnny Rockets for breakfast yet?)
  14. Isn't Astoria in Oregon? Just to clarify, Astoria is a port of call on the Alaskan and Pacific Northwest itineraries?
  15. I'm very sorry for your loss. I did some research for you, and this is the process as per another cruising message board poster who contacted Royal Caribbean in regards to Burial at Sea: Call Royal Caribbean's Emergency Travel Team at 1-800-256-6649 to verify current procedure. Send an email to [email protected] at least three weeks prior to sailing with request to distribute ashes at sea (Burial at Sea). Provide booking number, sail date, ship, your name, stateroom number, name of deceased. Purchase a biodegradable urn for ashes, refer to TSA requirements if flying to your cruise port. Once onboard, proceed to Guest Relations to schedule date, time.
  16. Have a great cruise, my family and I are sailing with a different cruise line on a 7 night Western Mediterranean itinerary next June ?
  17. I would pick this cruise as well partially for the itinerary (bucket list of mine) and for the fact that an additional sea day is offered.
  18. Alex from Madagascar (don't ask me how I know this when I've never seen the film lol).
  19. I checked in to my upcoming cruise on Adventure this past weekend through Safari on my iPad and iPhone with no issues whatsoever. Just checked now and was able to access SetSail Pass through Chrome on my work PC.
  20. Thanks for this, I'm considering purchasing a European SIM and plan for my Med cruise next June. I would like to also add that, in order to utilize this, your smartphone needs to be unlocked. This is not an issue for newer models, something to consider for older ones.
  21. As someone who works in tech support, my recommendation would be to clear the cache and then close, re-open your browser. (This applies to both desktop, mobile browsing.) Have had several issues with their website over the past year and this appeared to have worked. Let us know if you have any questions.
