  1. Hope you’re having a great time onboard!
  2. Please add: January 13th, 2024 - Symphony of the Seas
  3. LOL, I only know this because I’m a (Canadian) Tigers fan and have made quite a few visits to attend games in the past: https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g42139-d146680-Reviews-Mexicantown-Detroit_Michigan.html (Judging from their user name, @Rose City Cruiser is from Windsor whose train and bus stations I know pretty well.) Back on topic though, I don’t see the border opening anytime soon and I’m fine with that. As much as I love cruising, I don’t want to risk my health and my family’s health for non-essential travel. I’m a big baseball fan, and I’m also okay with the season being cancelled until next season. I’m totally in the minority on this of course, but my family is taking a serious stance against Covid-19. I’m worried about my sister who is a nurse.
  4. Royal does offer a 12 night Transatlantic sailing on November 1st, 2020 from Southampton to Cap Liberty on Anthem, but does not include a Western Caribbean itinerary. Instead, you have to visit...Europe. Damnit, that sucks lol. Day 1: London (Southampton), England Day 2: Paris (Le Havre), France Day 3: Cruising Day 4: Cork (Cobh), Ireland Day 5-6: Cruising Day 7: Ponta Delgada, Azores (Portugal) Day 8-12: Cruising Day 13: Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey
  5. A few things: 1. I used the room basically to sleep, shower, change, and get ready for the day, left early in the morning (8'sh am) and did not return until 11 pm unless I needed to grab something. 2. I got a great price on this cruise (less than $900 Canadian for an eight night Eastern Caribbean cruise in early December). 3. I liked the refurbishments and location of the stateroom. There were minor ship noises at night (typical with forward staterooms), but nothing that inconvenienced my sleep. 4. I'm a budget/economical traveler (unless someone else is paying for my cruise which is highly unlikely lol). The minor issues (e.g. burned out lightbulb, water temperature for shower, missing Cruise Critic invite) I encountered were quickly resolved by Royal Caribbean and, as a goodwill gesture, was offered a 20% discount off a future cruise. (I was going to use this for my 2019 cruise, but ended up cancelling cruise due to work situation; voucher valid until end of July 2020.) I would definitely stay in a studio stateroom on a Royal Caribbean ship again.
  6. Ha! My studio interior on Adventure was 106 sq ft, I win! ? Here’s a video of my stateroom:
  7. Mom’s church did the same thing, the minister gave his sermon over a YouTube live stream earlier this morning.
  8. More bad news ? Golden Princess: three passengers quarantined, one showing symptoms (test results forthcoming), other two “isolated have been in contact with a confirmed case in the past 14 days." Silver Explorer (Silverseas): 85-year-old British man showed symptoms after debark in Chile and tested positive, taken to hospital Azmara Pursuit (mentioned in same article): banned from disembarking passengers at port of Chacabuco in Chile, on grounds that it was carrying suspected cases of the coronavirus. Celebrity Summit: The Celebrity Summit, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that was supposed to dock today in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has been diverted to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, the cruise line says. The ship was diverted because Puerto Rico said passengers would not be allowed to disembark until March 21 because a Canadian passenger who was on the ship last week tested positive for coronavirus. Puerto Rico would have allowed the ship to resupply with food and fuel. The Celebrity Summit is supposed to arrive in Port Everglades on Monday morning, per Royal Caribbean. Port Everglades had a cluster of several subcontractors who tested positive for the coronavirus.
  9. English press release: https://presscenter.rclcorporate.com/press-release/82/royal-caribbean-announces-voluntary-suspension-of-cruising/
  10. Article for reference: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/norwegian-cruise-line-holdings-ltd-185205425.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=fb Btw, this temporary suspension affects all the lines under their parent company: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Took them long enough to do this, definitely right decision.
  11. You sound like a great physician and human being, Dr. Ogre, I loved what you said. Thank you ? My sister is a nurse, so I have the upmost respect for people who work in health care.
  12. Oh totally, dude, I feel for those people booked on a cruise within the next couple of months. On an unrelated note, my family has now cancelled their trip to Japan in May, better to be safe than sorry.
  13. This is probably going to be an extremely unpopular opinion, and I really love this cruise line, but Royal needs to start suspending operations ASAP for the health and safety of their passengers. Human life is more important than cruising.
  14. This was definitely the right call, the end date is July 1st from what the Minister tweeted earlier. Here is the deployment schedule for 2020-2021, waaaay too many cruises to list.
  15. From the article: This is good news, I just applied for a job at Sunnybrook (non-medical position) ?
  16. @WAAAYTOOO FYI https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/03/12/royal-caribbean-bans-guests-age-70-or-older-due-coronavirus-pandemic
  17. I think the writing was on the wall when the Disneyland closure was announced earlier today. This was the right decision by Disney, considering that the parks were going to be jam packed with people on Spring break/March break. ?I'm just glad that Disney will be paying their cast members during this suspension.
  18. Port of Baltimore now closed: https://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2020/03/12/coronavirus-closings-cruise-ship-terminal-closed-at-port-of-baltimore-gov-hogan-says/
  19. Bad news from Spain: https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/spanish-ports-turning-away-cruise-ships-14-days Oh crap, Allure is arriving tomorrow at 6 am. ? Edit: According to this article, Allure can disembark tomorrow ?
  20. Update from a passenger in a different FB cruising group aboard Vision: Has anyone heard anything about any of the more Southern ports like the ABC islands for example?
  21. Not sure if you opened the link, but, yes, there is a space for a medical practitioner's signature, registration number, and a stamp of identification at the bottom. The practitioner's name, facility name is listed at the top.
  22. Just sent a tweet to MSC Cruises and asked them whether there is a health form available to submit prior to boarding. My instinct is yes and similar to the one required by NCL. The other cruise lines can't be too far behind.
