I watched Love at Sea (just awful in my opinion) but I pushed through it just to gaze at the ship! I found "High Seas" series (2 seasons) on NetFlix, another story taking place on a cruise ship, (I have enjoyed this one, 16 episodes) and have showered with my coveted stash of DCL and RCCL shower gels I had accumulated, just to close my eye's and dream I am on this ship for those few moments....and I wasn't even a fan of the fragrance of the L'Occitane but now I will miss it! 
During this sad time, what do you do to keep your spirits up? Are there any other movies etc taking place on a cruise ship you can recommend?

I'm part of the first round of cancellations and so far not a thing has come back yet.  No excursion money, no taxes and fees, and no FCC.

Oy, just realized another reason I can't be booking that Panama cruise or anything else in the fall of 2021 -- my younger daughter will be in her senior year of high school and completing college applications, as well as going on any campus visits and interview she hadn't taken care of earlier in the summer! ? 

I read it as it will be officially published on April 15, and the "DATES: This action is effective on [INSERT DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER]" (which they say earlier will be April 15.   So 100 days forward of that.

Thank you for the tip.  I saw a video of a nearby Owner's Suite and these rooms are gorgeous.  I definitely want to have a few meals there.

We used the from a cancelled cruise to upgrade to an Owner's Suite for a future trip too, I'm so excited about this room! I can't wait to see how you enjoy it.

We were supposed to be on the Oasis of the Seas from 04/05/20 to 04/12/20 but it was canceled due to the pandemic.  I was devastated.  We had a beautiful Crown Loft Suite reserved (the nicest room we've ever booked) and I really wanted to see the revamp that was done in 2019.  The last time we were on the Oasis was in 2012.
Fortunately, we have two more cruises booked.  One, for Christmas 2020 and the other, for Spring Break 2021.  Since we were able to get a full refund for our April 2020 cruise (sadly), I figured, what the heck?  I emailed my TA yesterday and upgraded our Junior Suite to a beautiful Owner's Suite on the Freedom of the Seas for our Christmas cruise.  YAY!  I will now start my Keto diet again, ramp up the exercises, and start getting bathing suit ready for December.  It will happen....it HAS to happen.  LOL!

IMO, Trump has already signaled that we might be turning a corner soon.  Nothing could be MORE true than, "the cure cannot be worse (by far) than the problem".  Combined with the new/old treatment protocols that are showing serious promise and the fact that the lethality of the virus seems to be lower than originally anticipated, I think there will be a change in strategy fairly soon. 
Hopefully once the prohibitions are lifted (could still be a fair distance off, TBH) I think all of the onerous restrictions (self quarantine, 70 year old doctors' notes, etc.) will be lifted fairly quickly as well.  Not saying that things will return to the same level of effort as BCV (before Coronavirus) but they will come back on line in phases (my guess).

Almost the same here. Current schedule had the public schools getting out on Wednesday, June 24. No idea if they'll end things earlier, or extend the spring break week at all since we still have a bunch of unused snow days, or what.
My older one's college was going to be done in early May, so it's less of a disruption for her but still problematic. She's a vocal performance major, and the opera she and her classmates were working on has been pushed to the fall semester. All of their other public performances, which are the highlight of their semesters, are also gone. Thankfully, most of what they were working on for this semester apart from the opera was already done, but they can't even go out and do gigs or anything. For some of the older students, that's their part-time job and source of income, so they're feeling the pinch.
And no one has any idea of whether we'll see any tuition or residence money refunded. They got kicked out of school two months ahead of schedule, but paid for a full semester in their dorms / apartments. I know the university still has to pay the lease / bond / whatever that went into those buildings, plus maintenance including over the summer... but it's still gonna sting if they get absolutely none of it back. They were only back on campus for 2 months before this all hit the fan.

It's about trying to maintain a slow bleed that they can manage from a cash flow position.  If they cancel many months at a time it's like a run on the bank and they won't have the daily reserves to handle the massive blood loss from doing it all at once.

Seriously, if you book the B2B outer and inner loop cruises in August, mid/late Sep, Oct, Nov, or Dec it's only $20,200 per person!! That's $1,000 pp less than any other time! C'mon, that's just two gently used Hyundai's per couple!! ?  ?????
