Ok, that math doesn't check. But stay tuned for packing advice where the # of underpants to pack = 2XN+1, where N is the number of nights .....

I need to know why this is a thing. My mom certainly never taught me this yet i have always packed extra on every trip since I can remember packing.

I call it the "in case I s*** my pants" but I haven't s*** my pants since diapers so I dunno.

That lobster pizza was a fantastic recommendation!

Looks amazing but that's a flatbread with lobstah.

    fight me.

On the not even close to a rant...you're not wrong. The food quality went down and we're all talking about all the time. Sounds like you said what they needed to hear but we all know things don't change easily.

After dropping off our stuff, we headed out to do something totally free, but something the kids have always wanted to do. Don’t laugh. If you watched the IG stories, you already know, our “loose plans” today was the New York Public Library.

On our way to the library, we stopped by Times Square.

I love this. I work across the street from Madison Square Garden  and worked in Times Square before that and never have been. I go nowhere. lol. Occasionally I'll go in for a show but only when a friend wants to drive in.

We have loose plans. We kept it loose because again, we don't know how much we can count on flights being on time. Also, if we do arrive on time, it will be around noon and I don't know if I can check in yet. But we do have some things we want to check out. Stay tuned. You guys will all laugh if we do get to our plans though. It's not your typical tourist hang out when you think of NYC.

I work in NYC and rarely go in for fun but when I do my favorite thing is to have no plans. We always find some hole in the wall for food and have never been disappointed. Can't wait to find out where you end up!

Have a safe flight and looking forward to your cruise posts!

That happens to everyone, it’s not new, it’s not relegated to people’s sexual preferences, it’s just life in society.

Pretty sure it doesn't happen to "everyone" - I say this as someone with a physical disability. My friends and family never talk about getting strange looks from people yet it happens to me on the daily on vacation.

to the OP - enjoy your vacation. Don't let anyone take away your joy. Personally I don't wanna see too much full frontal or butt on anyone so as long as bits are covered, who cares.

  6. I've enjoyed it. I think it depends on what you want out of it. You can be friendly with others (same as non solo) or keep to yourself. I like the freedom of solo and doing what I want to do whenever I want to. I'm also an only child who can entertain myself for hours.

I haven't loved the solo events because they weren't clearly marked and non solo joined. I did the trivia a few times and there were couples, kinda was besides the point...

I said I'd rather sit alone and she pushed back pretty hard

I hate this. I don't agree with the pushback. As long as she tells you may have to wait if you don't choose to share there should be no pushback. I wouldn't appreciate feeling forced to do anything as long as I'm not complaining. Glad you got to sit on your own.

Personally I wouldn't mind if I was in a group and a solo came to share but as a solo, back off. I'm solo for a reason.

  8. I can see being mildly disappointed if it's your favorite food venue but I think I look at it differently - a group of people with very specific food needs need a place to eat and this is perfect for them. It also means the other food places may be slightly less crowded.

It just seems like an overreaction to me. Also why quote "group". No quotes needed, it's a group of Jewish people who follow Kosher food practices (clearly I'm not knowledgable because I don't know how to phrase it right).
