  1. Sailing out of Port Everglades in November. Will fly home on Friday, Nov. 11, which is a holiday. I know that FLL is near the cruise terminal, but MIA has all of the direct flights to my destination. Has anyone gone from Port Everglades to the Miami Airport? Do you have a preferred service to get you there? Would it be insane to book at 10:25am flight out of MIA on debarkation day?
  2. Apparently this is a thing now. Are you at the 45 day mark? I heard we might not get to pick a check in time until 30 days out now? (Even though we can put the other info in there earlier.)
  3. Is there a database anywhere that actually has the info everyone is referencing? It would be great to know some of fine details before boarding. I would be curious to know how much credit you get in the a la carte spots. Maybe it varies ship to ship? Does anyone know if Johnny Rockets is covered?
  4. I read up on Bernard’s. They look solid. I booked myself a placeholder tour on RCL for $26 during the weekend sale. Will book with Bernard if I make some friends ahead of the May sailing. Thanks everyone!
  5. I have never been to either St. Thomas or St. Maarten and I think taking tours of those islands would be the best excursions for me. I’m trying to figure out if I would be better off taking an RCL excursion or a tour through a 3rd party. Normally, I don’t hesitate to take a 3rd party excursion, but I am traveling solo on this sailing and have been told it might be best to stick with RCL. Does anyone have any recommendations on this topic? Whether it’s for an RCL excursion or a 3rd party. I’m open to all advice and/or recommendations. Thanks!
  6. I had those a few weeks ago on a different (mouse themed) cruise line and even those were a bit odd for me. But I would take that over a pop top.
  7. I I was planning on just picking a single park for one day. I’ve heard of people hitting all 4 parks in one day, but I am not that person!
  8. I know that Disneyland in CA does, and I’m almost sure that all 4 parks at WDW do as well. That’s part of the reason I’m looking into it now because I know it won’t be possible to wing it.
  9. Taking my first solo cruise on the Symphony out of Miami at the end of May. I have a few days free before the sailing, so I’m thinking about flying on a red-eye into Orlando 2 days prior to engage in some solo Disney fun, since I’ve never been. Here’s the preliminary plan: 1) - land at MCO early Thursday morning 2) - get a Covid test at the airport 3) - Uber to an Orlando hotel (offsite of Disney, looking for a deal) 4) - Uber to WDW, check out hotels and Downtown 5) - Do a park day Friday 6) - Uber to airport early Saturday, fly to Miami, board Symphony. Am I crazy to do this? This was an idea to add some bucket list items to my already booked bucket list solo cruise. Obviously it’s not ideal to fly on embarkation day, but I feel a little more comfortable doing it since it’s Orlando to Miami. Should I feel comfortable? Anyone have any advice or suggestions? If anyone has done this and recommends an off-site hotel, I’m all ears.
  10. Me! Taking my first solo cruise on the Symphony May 28th. Just started scanning the message board to learn as much as I can so I can get the most out of my trip.
  11. What's the earliest flight that you feel comfortable booking? I know the answer can change depending on the port, but generally speaking?
  12. I'll really be tracking this one closely. I'm not sure if there's $12 a day worth of value either, but if priority debarkation is a thing on the last day then I might jump on it in the hopes of getting on an earlier flight home.
  13. I figured anything in the $50's would be pretty solid. $46 seems like an outright steal!
  14. I had been considering a solo cruise for years and after one of Matt's latest videos, I took the plunge and Yolo-booked it. I will be on the Oasis 5/29/22!!!! Here's my question: as we all know, there's a "sale" in the Cruise Planner just about every week. Is there a target price that you look at and say, "that's a good price, time to book it"? Or is there a certain percentage off you look for? The current prices on things that I am looking at are as follows: VOOM SURF + STREAM Internet Package - $17.99/day The Key - $29.99/day (mainly because I am definitely getting the internet) Deluxe Beverage Package - $66.99/day before gratuities Ultimate Dining Package. ($183.99 for 7 nights before gratuities - *** already purchased) Overall, I agree with what Matt said and like the idea of buying what you know you want and then re-booking later if the price drops. I already did that for the UDP. ($183.99 before gratuities, no idea if this is good...) But if anyone knows what good prices are or certain percentages of discount to look for, I'm all ears. Thanks friends! Lindy
  15. You're right. Las Vegas hasn't had a "big 4" professional sports franchise for 118 years, so it has been a long time. ?
  16. We are headed out on the Allure next weekend with a large group (32). The majority of us are from Las Vegas and people are starting to freak out because our hockey team (the Golden Knights) will be playing in the Stanley Cup Finals during the cruise. Does anyone know where they might show the games on the ship? It’s being carried by NBC, which I noticed is not one of the channels available in the cabins. I was just curious if anyone knew which venue might show major sporting events. The games start at 8pm EST.
  17. Anthem of the Seas on March 24, 2018. My first solo cruise! ??????
