  1. When my husband and I went down to preorder our food, the lady told us that we had to order for all 4 of us, my daughter and her boyfriend were going to go down later to order theirs. We ordered 4 starters, 4 entrees and 4 desserts. Before I saw my daughter to tell her we ordered it, they went down and another person added their order to ours, so we had food for 6! As you cab see in the right side of the picture, the chips and salsa is more like nachos.DSCN1797.thumb.JPG.8d0e6f3fc563428959934f43e401d69f.JPGDSCN1789.thumb.JPG.90768c1b57e1327c160374654f7b08cf.JPGDSCN1780.thumb.JPG.5dec540ee6d12c4ef9ddfbba2fa5de62.JPGDSCN1776.thumb.JPG.74718815c9a28bcf77728cc37846db27.JPGHere a few pictures of the "bungalow lifestyle"DSCN1773.thumb.JPG.62f9be8e12064e55baf98cd8a5776c9f.JPG

Yes, but I fell on Anthem it isn't worth it.

Just the usual soft serve mixed. Might as well get a cup, spoon, carton of milk, and hit up the soft serve machine that is near by.

We had good vanilla milkshakes, but not the awesome Johnny Rocket's milkshakes I have had in the past. They were a nice accompaniment to our hot dogs from the SeaPlex though!

Wow... and today it dropped even further with the new promotion!  $183 for the bungalows! woooo!

Great deal! When my husband and I went down to order the food for the 2 of us, she asked us how many of us there would be, we told her there would be 4, and that my daughter and her boyfriend would be down later to order their food, she said we had to order all at once. We were allowed to order 4 starters, 4 entrees and 4 desserts. My daughter went down later and there was a different person taking orders. He took their order and added it to ours so we got 6 of each course. It was too much food! We really liked the chips and salsa, which was more like nachos. The chicken tacos, chicken sandwich and burger were a hit too.

  4. We just returned from our cruise on Anthem. I had the drink package and had to purchase the Refreshment package for my husband as he just had heart bypass surgery. He purchased at least 1 drink per day and 2 drinks a couple of times and no one said a word.

  5. We just got off Anthem a few days ago and there were lots of boys/men in nicer jeans/khaki colored jeans/khakis with polos/henleys and "nice" pullovers (no graphics or just a small logo). There was the occasional pair of dressy shorts but they were not the norm. On the other end of the spectrum, there was more than 1 teenage girl in tight skinny jeans, a crop top and flip flops on formal night :2_grimacing:

  6. The bungalows on Cococay were amazing. According to the staff there, all bungalows are the same. There is no "regular' or "deluxe" division in the bungalow category at this time and they knew of no change happening. Our bungalow tickets served as our tender tickets, which by Oct, you should not have to worry about. There is a shuttle to take you to/from the bungalow area as it is a pretty decent distance from the drop-off point. When checking in, everyone in your bungalow received a "VIP" wristband, only 6 per bungalow allowed. All bungalows had a cooler w/ice and 4 large bottles of Evian water, food delivery from the food truck (food was preordered in Wonderland a few days ahead) . It is close to a restroom and a couple bars, but also a bar waiter roaming around if you wanted them. You can still walk to the main dining area and eat there if you want the BBQ food, but it is only open for a couple of hours and it was very crowded. I don't know if I can ever forget what it was like to "live the bungalow lifestyle" and go back to being a normal beach bum!

Just get their earlier...then you avoid that kinda mess! Doesn't matter what your CA status is!

I have never been in a place like that in 11 cruises so far with Royal....10am arrival makes a big difference I guess!

But I would do anything to be on that ship now and in Nassau...

We pulled in to Cape Liberty at 9:35am and it was a zoo. People still waiting for rides after disembarking and a long line dropping off luggage and parking. I guess the secret is out. Check in and security were a breeze though thanks to online checkin.

It's always such a mob scene. My wife's primary reason for advancing in Crown and Anchor is to skip some of these lines....

I must confess, hubby and I won a cruise about 15 yrs ago, it was on the Carnival Triumph, it was my first cruise. It took until 2016 before I agreed to cruise again. That was on the Independence of the Seas, and now, I can't wait to book the next one, but I will wait until we get back because Hubby will become Platinum after this one,  I will gladly ride his coat tails out of gold.

If you like peanut butter, whip cream  and chocolate then you need to have it.

That is the best way to describe it.

It is worth the 5 bucks they charge for it.

Peanut butter, yes, whip cream yes, chocolate, NO (except for Resses cups), I know, I know. Do you know how hard it is to find peanut butter without chocolate??  I may have to try it anyway.

  10. My son and his girlfriend were supposed to go on our upcoming cruise with us.  They (or rather I booked for them) a balcony stateroom NRD. It all fell apart, first, they broke up, which was going to cost $100 to change the name on the reservation but then my son's job scheduled a conference cruise week, so we had to cancel the whole thing. We lost $100 per person of the deposit and now he and his former girlfriend each have a $150 future cruise credit. My gift to them was to pay the first $500, including the deposit, which leaves me out $500.

  11. I don't know whether to laugh or just shout NO!!   I just read a post on Facebook that said if you leave an open bottle of wine in your stateroom and the cabin steward sees it, they will charge you a corkage fee. They are also recommending you never throw the empty bottles away in your cabin or the steward will charge you the corkage fee. The OP was telling people to carry the empty bottle to the nearest trash can outside their cabin and to be sure they hide the open bottle or finish it in one sitting. Now...  I, personally, am not a wine drinker, but I have to think that most people reading those posts will believe them and I will see empty wine bottles everywhere I look! :3_grin:
