TheWHOfan reacted to marti314 in Release Form do you have to sign one every time?
You only sign it once per cruise vacation.  It used to be part of the check in process online but this is the link:

TheWHOfan reacted to Matt in Release Form do you have to sign one every time?
You can also fill out the waiver via your stateroom TV on some ships, or at the sports deck.

You can sign it but keep in mind that this release actually holds no weight in court should an accident occur.

Yeah should be fine! I've seen tons of kids walking through and for the most part, everyone has been respectful of noise.

TheWHOfan reacted to jce2 in May my child walk to her cabin on deck 12 though the Solarium?
As they enter the one end of the solarium, a stop watch will be started.  they have precisely 45 seconds from that point to traverse the length of the solarium IN ABSOLUTE SILENCE (Their time will be docked for every spoken word). Should they fail to reach the exit before the horn sounds they will be forced to consume an extra ration of vegetables with their evening meal!

JUST KIDDING!  They will be fine!

TheWHOfan reacted to tiny260 in May my child walk to her cabin on deck 12 though the Solarium?
Yes, there should not be a problem, there is more or less a defined walk way from the regular pool, through the Solarium and then to front elevator lobby and stairs.
Usually just a bunch of people laying in the shade and sleeping.

With 30% sale today it was a good deal to get the refreshment package.
I guess Crockett and Tubbs and I will hang out a lot.

TheWHOfan reacted to spiralqueen in Frozen Miami Vice (non alcohol) cost?
When I was on Enchantment a frozen virgin daiquiri was $8. I'd imagine it would be the same for a Miami Vice. Though I have heard that prices vary by ship so which one are you sailing on?
I found that it was incredibly easy to get my money's worth out of a refreshment package I got on sale. A la cart, one round of a virgin frozen drink and a bottled water was $10. I got the package for $17 a day. IMO it's easier to get your money's worth out of the refreshment package than the deluxe package because you don't have the alcohol fatigue element and it includes soda, bottled water, specialty coffees/teas, and virgin drinks. Those can really add up.

TheWHOfan reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in Photo Package what do you get?
One of the reasons why we love Disney photopass at Disney World is that the photographers are everywhere (even on rides) and readily available. On all the RC ships we have been on I only remember seeing them at embarkation in the terminal, the main promenade areas, and in the dining room. And the lines for photo ops were usually long compared to Disney World. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough and not sure what the price is for the RC photo package but if it is more than $169 (that's how much Disney was a few weeks ago when we went) then that would be enough to make me hesitate. I think it also depends how important the cruise photos are to you and your family too...

Just like the drink package, the value of the photo package is what you make of it.

We paid about $200 on harmony for the ultimate photo package.  I think we got 5 8x10 pictures and then about 200 digital images on a thumb drive. They will have multiple backdrops throughout the ship most nights and you will likely get a few random shots during the day.  Also if you go to their private island they have some photographers there taking pictures.

I haven't been on Majesty, but my guess is one is for My Time Dining and the other for Traditional Dining? Paging @iamjohnbamber

I haven't been on Majesty yet, but based on what I've read and what I remember from her sister ship the Monarch, there's no real difference.  It's one big two-story dining hall spanning Decks 3 and 4.  You enter on whichever deck you're assigned to.  Not sure if they break it up by time or just put you wherever your party size happens to fit when tables are assigned.  Menus and everything else are the same.  I think the chairs are different colors, but that's about it for differences.

They usually have a number of backdrops set up each night in addition to candids taken around the ship and in the dining rooms. In addition, there are photo opportunities when getting off in each port and when initially boarding the ship.
At about $20 per 8x10, the package can be worthwhile, like the one at Disney, if you're willing to take the opportunity to have your photos taken a lot. Keep in mind, though, that they won't be nearly as creative as some of the Disney shots.

Depends on your child and her interests/maturity.
We started cruising with our son when he was about 5/6. First cruise we brought him to MDR with us and he loved it, he has never shown any interest in skipping it since and actually gets a little bummed if we decide to skip dinner and hit the buffet.
I dont recall whether Adventure Ocean is open the first night now, i know it did not used to be but thought i read they had changed that so it might be a night 1 option, just keep in mind night 1 is usually a madhouse for everyone so in terms of meeting kids may or may not be a good time.

I agree. My kids can't wait to get to AO. More importantly, they find dinner in MDR too boring for their taste.
On day 1, there is an open house in the afternoon.  Might be a good opportunity to not only register your kids, but let them see the space and talk to counselors about what they will do.

I agree with what @jticarrutherssaid. I probably would encourage her to give it a try the first night. If she hates it or loves it at least you'll know, and know quickly.

Unless something changed, AO doesn't open until 8 the first night and 7 the other nights.  My kids always go the first night and as others have said, check in on the first night is a bit crazy because many didn't go and pre-register.  We always eat in the MDR with my kids...sometimes it may be our only meal as a family.  I have 2 teens who would check in my younger 2 early before the dessert course if they were in a hurry to meet friends.  Sometimes I'd ask for dessert early for the kids if its taking too long or if they want to get it on their own at WJ.

Given that AO opens late on the first night, I'd do the family dinner thing on the first night and then reevaluate from there.

Ok before I get started let me say that at the last time I parked there was about 3 years ago.  But we did not have any issues whatsoever It was a great convenience, we got off of the boat, we carried our luggage off and got off around 8am.  Price was about $20 per day, and yes you can find cheaper if you look.
Second point about the drink package on Coco Cay is yes.
Third is a point that several may not care for on here and there may be a some difference of opinion but yes you can get other things onboard.  My sister drives cross country for our yearly cruise so she has quite a bit of snacks with her.  She does not want to leave her food in the car so she carries it with her onboard.  She carries her own brand of water because she is EXTREMELY picky about her water and only drinks that while she is onboard or during shore excursions.  I actually have started carrying one case of water for us for when we are on excursions.  Customs usually opens the package and shakes a few of the bottles to ensure it is not alcohol.  I usually bring a empty carry on for that reason.  I know it may change but for what a case of water costs vs buying it onboard a few bucks is wort it if they say no, not a big deal not much money lost.  Several have said that it depends on the port but I have sailed from Tampa, Port Canaveral, as well as Port Everglades without any problems.  I am not advising you to try it, just telling you my experience!
I wish I could help you with the clubs on the ship, as December will be the first time I have sailed Majesty and am looking forward to it!  And that pretty much sums up your last question as well!  Happy sailing and I hope you guys have a great time!!

    1. Not likely, but they all serve the same food, so there's no reason to visit the other two except from a design perspective. Breakfast will be served in one of them as well as lunch on sea days, so that might be a way to see them if those meals, which are open seating, are served there.
    2. Are you early seating main dining? If so, it could be tight, but just let your serving know that you need to be done by 7 to make the show.
    3. No, but if you're at a table with others, it is helpful to let your server know so that they don't hold up service waiting for you.
