when I went to book, I was only given the option to pick 5:00pm. All the other times had a red line and I couldn't book. I have Hairspray booked for 9:45pm that night. I understand having a buffer of a couple hours between dinner and a show, but 4 hours and 45 minutes seems a bit unreasonable.

I believe there is yet another glitch with this. I've seen several others mention it. Specialty dining used to only block out 2 hours. It should not conflict with a show 4-5 hours later (like you said). Unfortunately I don't have a solution. I suppose you can try calling Royal.

Solarium Bistro is usually listed with the other specialty restaurants and you make reservations the same way (except that it's free). Not sure why it's not there for you.

I mean, it really could be nothing to worry about. It's entirely possible that the stateroom in question has recently been re-categorised and the deck plans simply haven't been update to reflect that.

Royal not update their website??? No way! 🤣

I think something like that is more likely than them ("them" being what I have to assume is an automated system and not subject to human error) assigning 3 people to a cabin that only holds 2.

It doesn't have any of the symbols marked on it that would identify it as taking additional guests over the standard double occupancy.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the deck plan page you can see them listed. For example, cabins with a little triangle marked on them can take 3 guests.

See the edit I added while you were likely typing that response. This is an interesting one.

The deck plans do indeed suggest that this is a two-berth cabin, which means that the sofa cannot be used as a 3rd bed due to the safety rules regarding life boats/muster stations.

What am I missing? How can you tell it's a 2-person CB as opposed to one like the CB in the video I posted?

EDIT: Oh, is it because the RC website says CB's are double occupancy? I never use the actual RC site to look at deck plans. The sofa in that video sure looks like a convertible one.

Hello. So I just had my MEI travel agent place a hold on a 12 night transatlantic cruise on Allure for Feb of 2025. A while ago the one and only @Matt had a video on the YouTube channel showing how you could find the price of the deluxe beverage package  based upon the ship and sail date. This was done by modifying the  URL string using a code for the ship and the saildate. I was wondering if someone had this link or knew how to figure this out.  I would like to see what the pricing would be on this before I shell out for this cruise.

Here's an easier way. A poster from another forum that shall not be named made a google doc that automates the process. Just enter your info in the fields...

I think we went through 2 bowls of their guac on Allure. Their jalapeno margarita is pretty tasty too if I recall. Guess I'll have to order one just to be sure I'm remembering correctly.

Ate there on Allure in October, love that marg, the guac, the bacon jalapeno chicken app, and the desserts. I don't even need an entree. Just ate a bunch of guac and 3 orders of that jalapeno chicken app as my meal (plus dessert).

If only there was a ship with both Sabor and Playmakers...

Hi everyone….this is my 4th cruise coming up , but, the first where I selected a guaranteed room without picking the room myself.  We are theee adult women , going on symphony and staying in one room together.  Someone said in a Facebook group for our cruise that to know your room number a tip is to look at your boarding pass once it is put in your Apple wallet and the last numbers of the bar code are your room number.  Can anyone verify that this is always the case?  I ask because our boarding pass says dk 12. And then the end of the bar code says 12150 .  We thought this sounded great but after looking more closely , this appears to be a 2 person only room.  Didn’t know if I need to call and see if they made a mistake or if since it is early maybe this was just temp and not necessarily goi g to be our room number since Royal hasn’t said that, it just appears that way….

It appears you have been assigned a connecting balcony cabin. The sofa likely converts to a bed for the 3rd person. Here's a video of a different cabin in the same category (CB) on Symphony...

I'm going to be at a baseball game tonight when my window opens up.  Can I upload pictures previously taken or do I have to take a picture of my passport and a selfie within the app itself?

    1. You can just select your arrival time in the app and do everything else later (which obviously makes the most sense in your case).

    2. You can upload pics using the website (from your phone or computer); the app only allows selfies.

keep wondering if that $$$ would be better used elsewhere

That was our conclusion, even when we could get $19.99pp. But we also don't care about kids being around (they always are since we sail during school breaks), love the standard included food, and my wife wouldn't even try the new offerings at Hideaway anyway so for us that $40 (plus tax) is better spent on a specialty meal (or pocketed).

Your $40pp plus tax pays for most of a specialty meal, even a nicer one (or a full one at BOGO). Everyone values things differently though. That was just how our decision went.

Tania (or anyone else who has gone to the Bahamas in late September or early Ocober), did you have any problems with rough seas or other hurricane season related issues? We are considering that season, but hesitatnt as my wife has had some motion sickness issues in the past. Thanks!

There's no way of predicting what the seas will be like just because it's hurricane season. If there is a storm/activity in the area (doesn't have to be an actual hurricane or super close), seas may be rough... if there's not, they will be calm.
