Hello all, this it my first post here, and I figured beyond my inquiry I'd also give a brief history about myself.
I went on my first cruise last August, at the tender age of 31 years old. It was a seven night eastern Caribbean cruise on Oasis of the Seas. I went with my wife and some friends, and we are all hooked now.
We have another cruise booked, same month, same ship. However, the main difference is instead of embarking at Port Everglades, we are now embarking at Port Canaveral. Port Everglades was pretty easy, we arrived the night before, and our hotel was only a 10 minute ride from the airport, and we could see the Oasis OTS from our hotel balcony the next morning. So the logistics of getting to the port, didn't seem daunting or time sensitive.
However, now, with the airport being about 42 miles from the port, I am curious, and a little anxious about the best way to both, get from Orlando to the port, and then from the port back to Orlando.
The wife and I were considering getting to Orlando Friday night, spending Saturday at Disney, then, of course heading to the port Sunday morning. So, shuttles directly from the airport to Port Canaveral may not be an option.
Any advise or personal experiences that anyone can offer is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
