I would imagine the term “ongoing” would impact the Equinox but maybe it’s just an issue with the Oasis class size?
I’ve been to Antigua 3 times but never on an oasis class. I’m assuming they’re building a new pier or extending a pier to accommodate oasis class and it’s behind schedule.
Have been to St Kitts twice and going again on icon in April. It’s ok. Went to a small (really small) resort on Nevis the first time and Cockleshell the second time. This time we may charter a boat

We’re on after you and the forecast is windy all next week too. October is a real crapshoot. We missed CocoCay 2 years ago in October because of a wicked cold front.
A friend of mine is on your sailing @OCSC Mike. Hope y’all have good weather. Heard she got a deep cleaning on her way to PC

Only you can answer that. But if time you have available doesn't mesh with when you can visit, then is it something to get sad over?
With that said, due to regulations changing on where ships can sail in Norway starting no later than 2026, if you're wanting to visit Geiranger on a RCCL ship, realistically your last chance is summer 2024. It appears the stepping in of new emission regulations will keep out Royal's current fleet starting in 2025.
Edit: It's also not like Geiranger has a lock on fjord beauty either. Take a look at what the other ports of call are using something like Google Earth to get a feel for what's there.
I’m hoping 2025 is the last season. We can’t do 2024 because we already have a 13 night overseas trip (river cruise), plus Icon and Utopia for 2024.
Looking at port schedules, looks like Brilliance out of Amsterdam along with celebrity eclipse and I think Silhouette.
Indy out of Southhampton along with Edge
Waiting impatiently for next week.
Anthem still has cabins for 2024 but I just don’t think we can swing that.

I’ve got 10:30 for my Allure next Monday. Her first 4 night!

Geiranger: I’ve always heard it’s a “must” port but it’s only offered twice on the 7 night. Neither date works for us. Will I be super sad to miss it?

Agreed. I know some want to be on the biggest for some reason, we sailed on the Anthem and found it to be too much for us.
We still love the big girls for the Caribbean but as we near “bucket list” age, ports are priority. The big girls get old going to the same ports.

Just to be clear, because I will admit to not actually reading the posted letter closely enough earlier, it specifically says "due to the high number of top tier members on THIS CRUISE, we've made a slight adjustment..."
This certainly seems to indicate it will be a cruise by cruise determination based on the volume of top tier members aboard.
Yes I agree. Changing the name to Crown gives them the ability to be flexible.

It’s beyond their control. It’s in the contract you agreed to. That’s what travel insurance is for.
We did this cruise exactly a year ago. It was an amazing experience but there was always a chance we could be cancelled at any moment. It was a risk we were willing to take. It’s always been an extremely unstable part of the world. The situation can change in an instant just like it did this past Saturday
I hope you get there someday because it was unforgettable

What is everyone doing with these cheap “crystal” blocks? I don’t get this at all.
For me, our Odyssey block is a remembrance of our Holy Land cruise where I put over 100 names of cancer patients/survivors in the Western Wall in Israel. It was also my 6 year anniversary of being cancer free from stage 4b cancer, a cancer that gave me a 15% chance of making it 5 years.
So yeah those “cheap crystal blocks” actually can mean a lot to some people. I hope you never experience something like that but if you do, it’s nice to have a remembrance.

The jump from Emerald to Diamond has always been a little one. Without double points promo, you could do it with 3-4 regular cruises. Many did it in 2 during double points.
We were Covid D+. Went from 83 (pre Covid) to 187 with 4 cruises. 2 were plain balcony, 1 GS for 7 nights and a 12 night in JS. We would NEVER have done that in a regular year.
I really can’t understand how they didn’t see this massive influx to top tiers when they offered this. I mean really, what did they think would happen? 30% increase to top tiers is HUGE! Not to mention allllllll those free drinks!
If they ever do away with the drink vouchers, it’ll be waaaaay bigger than PizzaGate or doing away with the crystal blocks (which ultimately were cheapened to the current version). Hmmmm could we see a return of the old, limited Happy Hour drink menu?

OK, I'm guilty. LOL.
I just booked one of the ocean view beds for Icon May 4th sailing.
From what I can see there doesn't seem to be any free seating back there by that pool at all???
I wanted to spend one day by that pool. Probably the rest at the adult only pool (Cloud 17).
It's silly but the description says you get champagne, bottle water, and 4 towels. That plus the "sale price of $239" put it over the top for me. Interesting how it's so specific about 4 towels, but does not mention how much champagne and bottled water are involved???
The champagne and water made it feel like a treat. So I said why not. It's so not something I normally would spend money on. We are inside cabin people. LOL.
I do wish for all that money it was an adult only pool. But very excited that the pools will be so Ocean focused facing outward like the hot tubs do on other ships.
In the fine print it says one bottle of champagne

I’ve lived in Florida almost 35 years. We are between Jacksonville and St Augustine in St Johns County. We get a change of seasons with occasional freezes in the winter. Hurricanes tend to skirt by us as they get sucked into the Gulf Stream.
We don’t really have snow birds except when passing through on I-95. We are a golfer’s paradise and having the St Johns River, Intercoastal waterway and Atlantic Ocean, boating and fishing are very popular.
St Johns is a great county.

I personally think it’d be smarter to offer these as 1/2 day reservations. Charge $200 for 1/2 day and they net an additional $50 per bed, per day.
What next after Icon 3?
