  1. Yes, it's a perk for Crown and Anchor Society members. About half way through the cruise you will get a bag that you can stuff with clothing and it will be washed and folded for $25.

  3. Great question. I suspect breakfast and dinner will be treated like MDR for those meals, first come, first served but that's just my guess.
  4. I'm doing 8-night on Quantum for the Royal Caribbean Blog group cruise and thought that was a good schedule!

  6. For the child, speak to your waiter when you check in at the restaurant. They can make the adjustment. As for times, the online booking system and the real reservation times don't always sync up. You should make a reservation so you have something (and can pay it off now) and then once onboard look at rebooking for a better time. I've never had issues with this approach.
  7. Even if you don't drink, the events can be interesting because you get to hear crew talk about upcoming news/changes as well as it being a good place to meet fellow cruisers who are obviously fans. The events are hit or miss but they are always quick and I've always found it to be worth my time.
  8. Hilton Marina has a good reputation as well as the Marriott Spring Hill Suites in Dana Beach. They have free shuttle from airport to hotel, free shuttle to cruiseport and free breakfast.
  9. Bonine works well, despite the drowsiness. For me, the drowsiness is that feeling of "I could use a nap". Not like you're falling over walking around.

  11. Made a post about the wave pool here: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/09/24/99-days-of-quantum-h2o-zone
  12. I've sailed Jewel of the Seas, which is substantially smaller than Voyager, Freedom or Oasis class and the attraction of a small ship is a more intimate feel as well as different itineraries. The smaller ships can go to ports the bigger ships cannot.
  13. There's going to be a lot of adults who want in on the wave pool too!
  14. There's going to be such a big swap of where ships are in the next few years. Don't forget we still have Oasis 3 & 4 coming online too. It's going to be cruise musical chairs
  15. For most Caribbean cruises, they usually stay on ship time. At least, that's been my experience.
  16. Good points. I tend to be fine with the complimentary drinks but I know others prefer to have a few soft drinks per day at the very least so it's so subjective.
  17. Time zone changes are up to the captain. Most times you will stay on whatever time your original embarkation port was on (often referred to as "ship time"). This is most typical with Caribbean cruises. But some cruises will adjust to the time. You will get notice in the Cruise Compass, among other places.
  18. As others said, yes. I was on Jewel of the Seas and she left around 8pm but we got onboard by 11am. Sooner you get onboard, sooner your vacation begins!
